Chapter 5

Sera gasped, she opened her eyes. The familiar ceiling made him think that what had happened was just a dream. A dream that made him want to cry.

Nathan's smile, the cold look in his eyes, the deep, deep voice and the distinctive scent of his body. Everything feels so real. She raised her head slowly as she saw sunlight coming in through the gap in her bedroom window. She didn't understand why she was in this room? As for what she knew, she was in the room of an old mansion with Nathan.

"Ugh..." she winced in pain. She felt a sharp pain at the base of her neck. It reminded her of her strange dream.

"Nathan? No, it can't be a dream! It can't be!" She muttered. She touched her neck and slowly got up from her bed.

Sera stood in front of the mirror, looking at herself. Her eyes widened when she saw the bruise marks on the base of her breast. The bruises were like fresh big bite marks and were very painful.

Sera's body trembled, she remembered clearly what happened last night. She went to meet Nathan the city park before sunset. She also had time to pass by Leo and all the details that he passed, are still clearly recorded in his memory.

A mansion on the outskirts of town that looks more like a very large old castle, the people that fill the dance floor, from classics as well as Nathan. She remembered when Natuan asked her to dance and took her to a room filled with rose-scented candles and red rose petals scattered on the bed.

She was stunned, she remembered when Nathan's finger was cut and she drink the blood that dripped from Nathan's finger. Everything that happened was real, it wasn't all part of the nightmare.

"Ugh...it hurts!" The pain was back. She couldn't let her family see the bite marks on her breast.

Knock...knock...knock...

"Sera...! Are you awake?" Her aunty called out. Sera panicked, she was in pain, but she didn't tell her aunty about what had happened to her. She didn't want them to worry about her anymore.

"Sera...! Are you still sleeping?" Her aunty kept knocking on the door. She couldn't ignore her aunty's call anymore.

"I-I'm awake, Aunty! I'll be out soon!" She said in a trembling voice.

"Okay! Take a shower and have breakfast! This morning we are going to your uncle funeral!

"Okay!" She was trying hard to endure the pain. She didn't know why this bite mark was so painful and it reminded her of the pain she had felt 12 years ago. Even though she had forgotten about the incident, this pain reminded her again.

"Yes, Nathan is the prince I saw that day! Yes, they are the same person!" She mumbled breathlessly. The face of the prince from the fairy tale, she realized that it was Nathan's face. Now she understood why when she first met Nathan she had a déj vu, as if she had met him before.

"Sob..." she sat on the floor, sobbing. She tried to digest what really happened and why all this could happen to her?

Even though her head was filled with questions about who the real Nathan was, the only answer that came up was Nathan.

"No, that's impossible! Nathan isn't werewolf. But who is he? Why would I-"

Dring...dring...dring...

Her cell phone rang, Sera who was too focused on Nathan, gasped in surprise at the sound of her own cell phone. Sera tried to catch her breath, she didn't want this problem to get worse if she didn't fix it soon.

"Leo?" She thought. She didn't know why Leo had called her, when they lived in the same house.

Although she felt very lazy to serve Leo, she was still curious about what Leo actually said yesterday. She was sure Leo knew something about Nathan.

"Wow...I didn't think you would answer my call too!"

"What do you want to talk about?"

"Geez, you've been fierce since you fell in love with that monster, haven't you?"

"Who are you calling a monster?"

"Who else but your beloved Nathaniel!"

"Oh come on, Leo! I'm not in the mood!"

"Who said I was joking? I just wanted to know how you were!"

"My bedroom? What do you mean?"

"Tch, you've always been a bother, haven't you? Hearing your voice, you seem fine. But I'm sure the bite marks are very painful!" Leo said. He seemed to know everything Sera didn't. He even knew about the bite marks on her breast. This further strengthens Sera's suspicion that Leo knows who the real Nathan is.

"How did you know that?"

"I'm not sure I can explain it to you right now. We don't have much time. Uncle Carl's funeral will be in three hours. Tell you what, once the funeral is over, we can go and talk about it!"

"Are you going to tell me everything you know?"

"It depends on you!"

"What do you mean?"

"This story is too long to tell and I'm not sure you're ready to hear it all either!"

"Don't talk like that! You have to tell me everything. Everything about Nathan, you have to tell me who the real Nathan is!" Sera screamed in frustration. Her panic had reached its limit, she really couldn't stand the situation where she didn't really know the man she loved.

"Okay, I'll tell you and I hope you can understand that you've fallen in love with the wrong person!"
