Chapter 4

They lead her into her new room. The room is huge. The walls are white with beautiful paintings on the walls of flowers and mountains. There is a large bed along the opposite wall with white bedding and four fluffy pillows. Allison cannot wait to sleep in it.

There are two dressers next to the door and two doors opposite from the dressers. She opens the one to reveal a large walk-in closet about half full with clothes and the other reveals a large bathroom with a massive shower and tub that look like they would fit four or five people in them. Everything in the bathroom is white and glass.

There is a desk and chair next to the door at the foot of the bed and then a foot bench at the foot of the bed. There is a TV hanging on the wall in the corner above the desk as well.

“It’s beautiful. Are you sure you want me to stay here? Who am I sharing the room with?”

Both Jasper and Gloria look to each other and smile. “This is all yours dear. No one will share your room with you again unless it’s your mate.” Gloria says with a smirk.

Allison blushes again but nods. “Thank you. I’m going to take a shower then. What time is dinner?”

“It’s in an hour and we would like to go down together so we will come get you if that’s okay.”

“Yes, that would be great. I don’t really know where I’m going anyway.” Allison adds with a chuckle.

They hug Allison before they leave the room closing the door on their way out. Allison squeals and runs into the bathroom. She strips out of her clothes and gets into the shower.

She has never had a shower before. She was always made to bathe at the creek or after the rest of the servants were done with their baths. She stands under the warm water for at least 30 minutes before she even attempts to wash her body or her hair.

She washes her hair and uses the body wash in the shower after shaving. Allison cannot help but smile at the simple act of showering and shaving since she has never been given the opportunity to enjoy either. She can’t help the feeling of gratefulness of the opportunities she is being given here more than anything else.

She dries herself off with the towel and wraps her hair up. She slips on a pair of white panties and white bra before she gets dressed in a pair of jean shorts and a white t-shirt. Allie finds herself smelling the shirt admiring the scent of the clean clothes.

Allison is short at 5’1” with long wavy blonde hair that hangs just below mid back. She has bright green eyes but they have always been very dull. She notices when she looks in the mirror after her shower that her skin looks better and her eyes are bright. Her eyes even look like they could glow in the dark.

She dries her hair with the towel and brushes it out before she scrunches it up deciding to let it dry naturally today since her hour was almost up. She pulls on some white socks and puts on some sneakers that are in the closet.

Allison sits on the foot bench and just looks around the room in awe of the beauty of the room. She is hit with an overwhelming sense of gratefulness for everything she was given today.

It is only a couple of minutes before there is a knock on the door. Jumping up she opens the door to reveal Jasper and Gloria’s excited faces. “Ready daughter?” They ask in unison with smiles on their faces.

Allison can’t help the smile that forms on her face. “Yes, parents.” They each take one of Allie’s hands and make their way down the stairs to the dining hall.

There are about 50 people in the dining hall when they arrive for dinner, which Allison thinks to herself that this is a small pack but is very happy there aren't a lot of people here to be disappointed by her.

“Sapphire pack. Thank you for joining us. We would like to introduce our adopted daughter, Allison.”

There are cheers from the people and everyone looks on with wide smiles on their faces from the pack elders to the youngest kids.

Allison smiles but is also still apprehensive about what will happen when she is alone with these people. She can’t help the shiver that runs down her back at the thought.

“Where are the seniors from the school please?” Jasper asks the crowd.

Four people come forward with wide smiles on their faces.

“Allison, these are the kids you will be going to school with. I want you to get to know them. Everyone this is Allison. She hasn’t been allowed to go to school before so we will be getting her tutors but, in the meantime, I want you all to be helpful and patient.”

“Yes, Alpha.” They all say at once with smiles still on their faces.

“This is Heather, Damien, Sophia, and Chris.”

They all nod their heads towards Allison as Jasper introduces them.

“We’re so happy you are here.” Heather says to Allison. The other three kids all nod their heads and continue to smile at her.

“We leave for school at 8am every weekday. We will wait for you outside the packhouse doors.” Damien adds with a smile on his face.

“Thank you.” Allison says in a nervous voice.

“It’s okay to be nervous but I promise we will make sure you are okay.” Chris says with a nod.

She nods her head to him and they all say their goodbyes promising to come find her after supper.

Jasper and Gloria lead her to the head table and the three of them sit down with four other people. There are two women and two men all who look happy to be there.

“This is my Beta Edward and his mate Tracy. This is my Gamma Rose and her mate Jerry.”

“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Allison.” Rose said as she gets to her feet to embrace her in a hug. The rest of the four follow suit hugging her and welcoming her into the pack.

The servers come in and Allison pays attention to how the servers are treated and everyone is treating them with respect and dignity. Even as they are cleaning up dishes, pack members including Gloria are helping take dishes to the kitchen, wash dishes, wipe down tables, and take trash out.

“You’ll notice that everyone helps everyone here.” Tracy says in a low voice as she is watching Allison’s eyes take in everyone in the room.

“I’ve never seen anything like it before.” Allison says with a smile.

“You’ll have more of those moments while you are here. Everyone is treated with respect here and everyone helps everyone else.”

Allison nods but goes back to watching. The kids that she is going to school with come up to her after supper and ask if they can hang out for a little bit.

“Alpha Jasper, may I be dismissed from the table?” Allison asks Jasper timidly as she looks down at her lap.

“Of course, dear. You don’t need to wait for me to dismiss you dear. I know it will take some time to get used to everything but a simple ‘bye’ would do for us.” Jasper says with a chuckle.

Allison hugs him and leaps out of her chair and they all hurry her into one of the sitting areas to hang out for a while.
