Chapter 5
“So, Allison, what pack did you come from? I’m from Ridgeway.” Heather asks as they all get settled on the couches in the sitting room.
Allison looks at her with wide eyes. “Dark Moon.”
“Oh, I’ve heard horrible things about that place.” Damien adds as his shoulders shake with a shiver.
“It was horrible but not everyone has it bad there.” Allison says. “And call me Allie.”
They all giggle and nod.
“What do you like to do?” Chris asks.
“Honestly, I’ve never been allowed to do anything besides reading in secret so I don’t really know.” Allison says with a sad chuckle.
“Not even like playing when you were a kid?” Sophia asks in shock.
Allison shakes her head and looks down.
“Oh girl, you are going to have so much fun here. We are going to hit some of the best parties and there is so much to do here.” Heather says in an excited voice.
“And don’t worry about school. We only have like two months left anyway and we will get you taken care of. One of us will always be with you and no one will mess with you anyway after you train.” Damien says with a chuckle.
Allison doesn’t say anything but nods as she knows she is going to be happy here. “Thank you for talking to me. I didn’t have any friends before.”
“Well now you have four lifelong friends.” Chris says with a smile.
“Yep, you are stuck with us forever now.” Heather says with a chuckle and everyone nods in agreement.
Allison chuckles and launches herself at Heather to hug her and the rest of her new friends hug her as well.
“We got you girl.” They say in unison.
They spend a couple of hours talking and laughing about anything before Allie feels an overwhelming tiredness hit her.
She bids them all good night before going up to her room. She knocks on the Alpha and Luna’s room door hoping to say thank you to them.
They open the door and she tells them good night before she hugs them both and goes into her room.
She gets dressed in a pair of thin cotton shorts and a tank top before she slips into bed. She sets an alarm before she lays down and falls asleep right away. Her alarm goes off at 6:30 and she jumps up going into shower.
She gets dressed in a yellow sundress and a pair of sandals. She finds a bookbag on her desk chair with a couple of notebooks with pens and pencils. She heads out of her room and heads to the dining hall to have breakfast before heading to school.
She finds Alpha Jasper and Luna Gloria greeting everyone that is coming in for breakfast.
“Allie my daughter. Did you sleep well?” Jasper asks.
“Yes, I did Alpha.”
“That’s great.” Gloria says as they both pull her into a hug. “Did you find the bag I left for you?”
“Yes, I did. Thank you.”
“I have something for you too dear.” Jasper says as he puts his hand in his jacket pocket. He pulls out a phone and hands it to her.
“A phone?” She asks, her voice full of confusion.
“Yes dear.” He says with a chuckle. “I want you to be able to get ahold of any of us or just use it for fun.”
Allison flings herself at both Jasper and Gloria pulling them into a tight hug. “Thank you, mom and dad. I love you both so much.”
“Oh, we love you too Allie.” Gloria says with tears in her eyes. They both pull her tighter into their arms.
They all break apart but don’t let go of Allie as they show her where she can make her own breakfast plate from the buffet the kitchen sets up in the mornings.
She gets her plate and eats quickly as she wants to make sure she has everything ready for the day. Her friends all come in and sit with her for breakfast. Since breakfast is not a formal meal, they don’t need to worry about her only sitting at the head table.
At about 7:15am, Heather lets them all know they need to get going to school. Allison hurries upstairs to get her bag. She slips her phone into the front pocket of her bag and heads down the stairs and out onto the porch to wait.
Damien comes driving up in his jeep and they all get in. Heather, Sophia, and Allie are in the back while Chris sits in the passenger seat as Damien drives.
They all talk and laugh the whole way to school about who people are and who to avoid. When they get to the school, they all surround Allison. Damien puts her arm in his and they walk into the office to get her schedule.
She is in class with at least one of the guys and one of the girls in each class which helps ease her mind.
