Three

Trisha halted the brake of her car in front of their duplex mansion, it was the kind in which celebrities lived. It had two separate gates and seemed like an estate with only one house in it. Her parents had acquired it early in life while they had just started the family business and it was one of their most prized possession.

It was also one of the reasons Collins had planned all he did because he had always had an eye for the house. The house had everything, a big sized swimming pool, a game place, a cinema, lots of bedrooms and Collins knew everything was going to Krystal because she was the only child too.

Krystal excitedly came down from the car as she waved Trisha goodbye.

"Are you sure you don't want to come in though?" Krystal asked standing by the car as Trisha was ready to leave.

"I need to get somewhere, I will see you later for the wedding preparation"

"Okay, bye, love you," Krystal said

She went inside the house and saw her parents sitting on the couch discussing. Her face lit up as she smiled widely. She immediately rushed towards where they were sitting in between the both of them, she pulled them in for a hug tightly.

She didn't want to let go, she had wished every day in her past life for just one moment to be with them again and now she had that moment and would do anything to never let the mistakes she made happen again.

"Where have you been dear," her mother asked.

"I have missed you two so much," Krystal said pulling for a hug again. This time her parents didn't understand what was going on her mother rolled her eyes at her.

"What is going on," she asked

"I just really miss you two and I love you so much always. Thanks for everything" She said.

They were the exact words she had wished to say to them one more time if she ever saw them again and now that she had the opportunity, she was never going to misuse it.

"We saw you just this morning," her dad said

"Yes,  I know"

"We need to talk to you about preparation for your wedding. We still have a lot to do and it's just in two weeks" her mother explained

Krystal stood from where she was sitting and then sat on the couch just across them.

"What wedding," she asked acting oblivious.

"Don't play with me young lady" her mother said, she hated it when Krystal teased her or joked around but Krystal missed every one of those moments

"I am just joking," Krystal said laughing and father laughed too.

"You are the one encouraging her behaviour her mother said to her father.

She and her father exchanged glances and then smiled. He was her partner in crime always. He always supported everything she did and mostly never said No to me.

Her mother always told her it was the reason she was so spoilt.

"So, about the wedding, I am not getting married to Collins anymore," She said

They were taken aback by what she said and all they did was just stare at her. Her mother's jaw dropped and her eyes widened.

Wasn't she the same person that was so excited and wouldn't stop talking about the wedding just a few days ago?

"What are you talking about, are we going to cancel the wedding?" Her mum asked seeking more explanation as to what was making her make such an irrational decision.

"Not at all, we are not going to cancel the wedding but I am just not going to get married to him"

"We are not still understanding this whole arrangement. People don't just make decisions like this, you have wanted this all your life" her dad said.

"But people change, people want things and then do not want it again. It's still my choice"

"I have found out some things about Collins and they are not good things" Krystal explained not knowing exactly how to explain everything.

Will they believe if she said she was dead and now Alive? It would sound crazy to anyone who cares to listen even if she is telling it to her parents.

How was she going to go about explaining it and she had no evidence of all the claims now but at least they should believe a bit of her word?

"Collins is only marrying me to take over the entire estate and the family's business" she explained. It was the only thing she could say but as she stared at her parents, the expression on their faces couldn't say much but she knew they didn't believe her.

"Collins is a sweetheart, why would he do that," Her mum asked.

"He even told me he could sign a prenup if we wanted him to. So why would he do that" Her dad explained.

"It's all part of his plan, it's an act. He is putting up all this facade so you could trust him" Krystal said. She knew Collins quite well now. He was good with manipulating people, making them feel he was doing them a favour whereas he was already two steps ahead.

"Why would he do that?"

"Because he wants all these" Krystal said as she dramatically looked around the house. "This house, everything!!"

"We thought he loved you"

"I thought he did too" Krystal whispered under her breath.

"I just want you to trust me really, I am going to prove all of it"

"How, when," her mum asked

"Let's just wait till the wedding day," she said and at that moment she heard a familiar voice behind her

"Hey, Krystal"

She stood up immediately, her heart rate increased as she looked in the direction of the door. She couldn't move, she felt frozen to the spot like something or someone was holding her down. There were goosebumps on her body now and as he walked closer. Her muscles constricted and it felt like her heart could jump out any minute from now.
