I woke up with a gasp. Panting heavily as I looked around. I was all alone in my apartment. 
 
It was all a dream' I thought to myself as I let out a relived sigh. 

Then it dawned on me, 
' I HAD JUST DREAMT OF HADES, THE MAN MY MUM WAS MARRYING IN A WEEK!!!' the thought alone sent me into disgust, but at the same, the thought caused my body to buzz. 

"You've got to be kidding me" I groaned pulling my hair out in frustration.

Valerie never had it easy, from being married off to a man that make his brides "disappear" to being kidnapped by death. 
She never thought that she would have a happily ever after, it was never in the cards for her.
That was until Hades, death himself, began to show a bit of liking towards her despite his cold nature, "a rare soul that drew him in like a moth" as he described her. 
Good things don't seem to last forever, for her, that was established when she was killed. 
Although, she might have somehow gotten on fate's good side because in this life, Valerie finally has it all, a loving family, the perfect boyfriend....
