2. Target Locked

"Aurora...."

"Aurora Baylee ...."

A woman immediately came to her senses after a friend who was beside her called her. She refocused on the target that her weapon had successfully aimed.

"Do you feel if someone yells at you again?" asked her friend.

"The voice always calls to me. I feel sad when I hear the voice screaming pitifully."

"We completed the mission this time. You must remember that if our mission fails, then everything is over."

Aurora nodded. Now, she was utterly convinced of her target: a man who was talking on the rostrum. She slowly moved the tip of her index finger and pressed the trigger of her weapon—a bullet shot through the man's heart.

"Hurry up, and let's go!" said Aurora. At the same time, she was putting her weapon in her bag.

The two of them moved quickly to leave the location. Aurora got on her motorbike and rode it at high speed. Behind her, her friend always followed her.

Aurora stopped her motorbike on the side of the road, and her friend immediately stopped right beside her.

"Odelia, go back to the base first! I have to take care of something," said Aurora. At the same time, she is handing over the bag containing weapons to her friend.

"Be careful."

Aurora nodded. She saw her friend leave her. Not long after, she also returned to spur her bike at high speed.

Finally, she arrived at a cemetery. She parked her motorbike and walked to a grave. Where to eat it is the meal of her parents.

"Mom, Dad... just relax there. I'm fine. Give me strength and clues to find your killer."

Aurora muttered while staring at the tombstones of her parents. Twenty years had passed, and she could not forget the incident that killed her parents.

Her cell phone vibrated. She took the phone from her jacket pocket and picked it up because the person calling her was John. She listened to Jhon's words as she walked towards her motorbike.

"Ten minutes. I'll get there!"

She disconnected the phone, put on her helmet, and then started her motorbike. Aurora increased the speed of her bicycle and finally arrived at the base. She still wore a mask so that no one recognized her, even though it was Jhon, the leader of the organization she was currently in.

"Explain it to me, Jhon!" said Aurora as she sat in a chair right across from an old man.

Aurora took a tablet that Jhon held out to her. She read the information while listening to the explanation. She stared intently at the photo of a man who would be her target this time.

"Do I have to finish it off?" asked Aurora.

"No. You need to take something from the person. However, it will be difficult to get it."

"Why did you accept this mission? Don't you know my skill of killing?"

After saying that, Aurora got up and walked away from Jhon. However, her steps were halted when she heard Jhon say something about Angela.

"This mission has something to do with death, Angela," said Jhon.

"Send me all the information about this mission!" Aurora said, then continued her steps out of the room and left her base.

Currently, Aurora is already in her apartment. She threw her body on the bed. She closed her eyes for a moment and didn't feel herself asleep.

She reflexively opened her eyes because she heard someone coming into her apartment. She took out the weapon she had always kept under the pillow. After that she strolled out from inside her room.

"Do you want to finish me off?" asked Odelia, who had just entered the apartment.

"I thought you wouldn't come back here."

"Aurora, are you willing to accept the mission that Jhon gave?"

"You already know," Aurora replied while sitting on the sofa.

Aurora took a can of drink handed over by Odelia, who was now sitting beside her. She opened the can of the drink and gulped it down.

"Have you found out about this mission?" asked Aurora to Odelia.

"Already."

"What did you get?"

Aurora listens to all the information Odelia has gotten about this mission. After hearing it, she decides to accept the mission because she wants to take revenge on the person who is already Angela, where Angela is her friend, just like Odelia, who is already considered a sister by her.

"Are you sure? Getting in there takes a lot of work. Even I've heard of some assassins who have already gotten in there and can't get out safely."

"It makes me even more challenged."

"Aurora!"

"Odelia, don't you also want to take revenge on the person who killed Angela so viciously? Then believe me if the two of us will succeed."

"What about your revenge for the death of your parents?"

Aurora was silent for a moment and then said, "We have been together since the death of my parents. You must know my main goal is that person."

She smiled as she saw Odelia sighing with her breath. It indicates that her friend has given up on her and will always be by her side. Aurora drank the drink in the can again, and then she walked back to her room.

Aurora sat on the bed and picked up her tablet. She checked the email sent by Jhon. Odelia conveyed some of the same information. However, according to her, Odelia got more information than Jhon.

"I can't underestimate your abilities, Odelia," Aurora muttered.

She opened an email that had just come in. She read all the information. Suddenly, she heard the sound of things breaking. She threw her tablet on the bed and picked up a stick near the room's door.

Aurora opened the door. She saw two men who had managed to make Odelia unable to speak anymore. One of the men pointed a firearm right at Odelia's head.

"Let her go!" ordered Aurora.

"Aurora, I finally found you. That means today is your last day in this world," said a man in a black jacket while grinning.
