The sun started to peak out from behind the roof of the pack house as I exited the woods from my morning run. I ran up to the backdoor and opened it and headed straight to the kitchen for a bottle of water. Dorris was in the kitchen starting coffee and breakfast for everyone with the kitchen staff. I waved hello as I got a water out of the fridge and then turned and ran upstairs. I had a busy morning of quick meetings to prepare for the trip to The Blue Moon pack. I enter my room and head straight to my closet to get my clothes. I grabbed a t-shirt and blue jeans and stopped by the dresser to grab some boxers on my way to the shower. After my shower I lay a blue dress shirt and black cargo pants on my bed for when I head out. Thanks to me thinking ahead I've packed my bag for the trip. I look in the mirror while I brush my brown hair back and head out to my office to talk to my Beta and Gamma.

I am Jackson and I am 26 and the youngest Alpha in Virginia and we have the safest, biggest, and most respected pack. My packs name is Blood Moon. Everyone wants to have a alliance with us or me to marry their daughters and that is not a option unless they are my mate. The Moon Goddess picks mates for a reason and I do not mind waiting for mine. My wolf Jace tells me we will meet her soon and I cannot wait. As I walk into my office I have to duck a little because I am 6'3 and I haven't had the door frame fixed yet. Nathan my Beta and Mason my Gamma are waiting for me in the chairs in front of my desk. I move behind my desk and take a seat. We go over pack business and what Mason will need to do while we are gone. Nathan and 3 of my best warriors are going with me for the meeting.

After I finish up with Mason I tell Nathan to have the warriors be ready to leave in 30 minutes. I head back upstairs and change into my pants and dress shirt and roll the sleeves up to the elbows and grab my bag and head down to the kitchen for a to go cup of coffee and a quick bite to eat. As I enter the kitchen Dorris is sitting down my coffee and some eggs, bacon, and biscuits and gravy. Nathan and I sit and eat quickly then are ready to head out but before I leave the kitchen I kiss Dorris's cheek and thank her for breakfast. "You are very welcome. Now you be safe and hurry back and try and bring us back a Luna." she said. Jace does a little dance in my head and I laugh as I head out the front door.

Me, Nathan, George, Mark, and R.J. get settled in the suv and head out. As R.J. heads down the driveway George puts on some country music and I just look out the window wanting to hurry and get there and get it over with because I know Max is going to ask me if I want to marry that brat of a daughter of his again. Thankfully she was not my mate. I actually feel for the wolf that gets saddled with her. I want someone who is compassionate and loyal with a big heart like my mom was. Hopefully the Moon Goddess will smile down on me and pick a girl just for me. Nathan is still looking for his mate as well and my warriors that is one of the reasons I chose them other then being some of my best but hoping maybe they find their mates.

After several hours of driving we stop for lunch at a diner. We all order two bacon cheeseburgers and some fries and a coke for each of us. As we wait for the food we talk about what Max may talk about at the meeting and which other Alphas he talked into coming. Max had a reputation of spoiling his kids and treating his pack members like crap but there was no proof for the werewolf council or he would have lost his title long ago. My father almost caught him abusing his mate but could never get her to confirm it and she died several years before I took over so I never had the chance to ask her. I had no plans of joining an alliance with him but I did want to talk to several of the other Alpha's about forming one with my pack. Plus Max said several of his pack were still mateless and of age to find their mates so I had to try. Just as we were finishing up our food Mason called to let me know the council approved my request to investigate Max while I am there. Nathan and I smile as we finish up and pay and head out. Maybe this trip won't be a bust after all.

As we head up the driveway to Blue Moon's pack house I tell George to pull around back to the guest house because that's where we will be staying for the next few days. We park outside the guest house and get out and grab our bags out of the back and head in. As I walk through the front door Jace starts to go crazy in my head and I can faintly smell cherry blossom and vanilla. After I go all through the house and find nobody I walk back to the living room and ask if they can smell that. Nathan looks at me for a second and sniffs and says "Bleach and lysol?" My eyes go wide "I think its my mate but I don't know where she is but I will find her." Right before we go to head outside a short blond girl runs into the house and says "Please tell me one of you is Alpha Jackson!" Before I can respond Nathan growls out "Mate." "Yes I know and I will talk to you in a second." she said as she looked at the rest of us. "I am Alpha Jackson." I said. " I am Emmy and I need your help and I need you to hurry I am afraid they are going to kill her this time." She then turns around and heads back out the door so we follow after her.

We make our way to the kitchen door of the pack house and through the door you can see a man sling a girl against the refrigerator and she hits the floor. Jace is going crazy in my head and getting pissed as we make our way to the door. Through the door you can see the guy has picked her up and hit her against the counter and punched her in the face. As I got through the door that wonderful smell hit me and I realized it was her the beautiful girl he was abusing. I was going to kill him. "Let go of my mate." I roared and grabbed him and slung him towards Nathan and grabbed her as she fell.

"Nathan, You and George watch him and don't let him go anywhere." "The rest of you come with me we are heading to the pack hospital and I will deal with that jackass later." I said. As I slowly lifted her into my arms off the floor I mind linked Nathan to call the council and let them know what happened. I then walked out to the suv and told R.J. to drive us to the pack hospital. The whole way there I prayed to the Moon Goddess to please save her because I just found her and didn't want to lose her.
