Chapter 7 Let Her Stay

Yeah. A guy like Henry, with all his money, could get any woman he wanted. Why would he get into trouble for her?

Diana took a deep breath. "I was out of line. I won't bother you anymore."

She tried to leave, but Henry's arm around her waist pulled her back onto the sofa. She winced, grabbing her thigh.

"Your leg still hurt?"

Before she could answer, Henry lifted her dress. Even though they'd seen each other naked before, she blushed and tried to cover up. The bruises on her inner thigh were obvious.

Henry remembered being rough with her that night. It was her first time, and her skin was too delicate for that. The bruises seemed to be an accusation of his wild behavior!

He gently touched her thigh, massaging it lightly. Her eyes got misty, making him distressed.

"Your leg hurts and you still came out?" Henry's voice was rough.

"It's much better," Diana quickly pulled her dress down. "I'm leaving now."

Henry suddenly said, "A hot spring will help your leg heal."

Diana paused and looked back at him.

Henry had his back to her, lighting a cigarette.

What did he mean? Did he want her to stay?

Even Henry's men were shocked. It was as surprising as when Henry brought a kid home years ago.

Henry had a private hot spring, just for him. Diana didn't have a swimsuit, so she went in naked. The warm water relaxed her.

She submerged most of her body in the milky white water, leaning against the edge and sighing. She wanted to seduce Henry but had no idea how. Her intentions were clear to him, making her like fool. People said women were deep thinkers, but she thought men's minds were like needles in the sea—prickly and hard to grasp.

Feeling hot from the soak, she went back, but Henry wasn't there. She didn't want to leave yet and planned to wait on the sofa, but the post-hot spring drowsiness knocked her out.

Henry had gone to meet a client, and by the time he finished dinner, it was past ten. When he returned and turned on the light, he saw Diana asleep on the sofa.

The noise woke her up. She looked at him, confused and groggy.

She looked gentle, her hair falling over her shoulders and into her clothes. Henry's eyes moved down to her slightly open collar, which revealed a bit of her bra.
