Chapter 27 William, I Despise You

Craig saw what was going down and got even more sure that William had zilch for evidence and no way to get any.

He sneered, "Who in Starlight City doesn't back me? But today, this guy's saying I swiped his mom's ring and sold it for $9.82 million. If word gets out, how am I supposed to show my face around here? I'd be too embarrassed to even walk out the door."

As he spoke, Craig slapped himself hard.

"Dad!"

"Grandpa!"

Everyone freaked out.

Eugene was fuming, pointing at William and yelling, "Say sorry, or this won't end well!"

William's body was shaking a bit. If it weren't for Fiona, he would've taken everyone out already.

He wanted to throw the evidence in Craig's face right then and there and have Aaron testify immediately.

But Fiona was holding onto William tightly, preventing him from pulling out the ring.

Fiona pleaded softly, "William, don't, I'm begging you!"

"Apologize!"

"Hurry up and apologize!"

The Watson family members were pressing aggressively.

William hesitated, veins bulging on his arms. If Fiona weren't the part of the Watson family, he wouldn't need evidence to question them. If they didn't admit it, he would just kill a few people.

He could expose Craig with the evidence right then, but how would Fiona continue to live in the Watson family afterward? This would directly affect Fiona's family relationships.

In the end, William let go and agreed to Fiona's request.

Craig waved his hand with a smile. "Forget it, can I stoop to his level? Remember, watch your mouth next time."

Fiona apologized immediately, "Dad, I'm sorry for the trouble. I'll discipline William when we get back."

Eugene left angrily. "We'll talk at home, this is so embarrassing."

Jasmine glared at William. "I despise you!"

After William and the others left, Craig and his group laughed.

"That was close, I was scared to death. I was really afraid William would bring out the evidence."

"Exactly! How did he even know about this?"

Everyone was still shaken.

Craig sneered, "William wants to expose me? Impossible! He's so useless and will never get close to someone like Aaron, let alone get the evidence."

He added, "From now on, we'll just deny everything. He won't be able to do anything. And don't tell Eugene's family about this."

Back at Azure Villas, Eugene was cursing loudly, his face red with anger.

Jasmine was also speechless. "William, can you chill out? You've only been here a few days and you've already upset Kyle. Accusing my grandpa now? We don't owe you a thing!"

Fiona quickly sent William back to his room.

Just then, Sienna had already found out what happened back then and sent the information over.

After calming down Eugene and Jasmine, Fiona went to William's room and looked at him with concern. "You've been wronged, thank you!"

William smiled. "I'm fine. I already have the ring. I just want to know my mom's whereabouts."

When William took out the ring, Fiona knew her suspicions were correct.

William said, "Actually, after my mom sent me overseas, she returned to Starlight City. In a moment of desperation, she gave the ring to Craig, intending for him to pass it on to you as a token of gratitude. But the ring was sold."

"I'll just keep the ring; it's not of much use to you now. As for the Watson family's business, the ancient prescription I gave to Eugene is enough."
