Chapter 31 Mr. Davis, Thank You for Sparing My Life

The crowd was utterly astonished that he leaped from such a height and emerged without a scratch.

Even Victor's eyes had this weird glint; he never thought William was a wizard. But that didn't bother him at all; he had wizards aplenty at his disposal.

Victor was just about to tell William to scram. Then, out of nowhere, two guys showed up with a stretcher.

On it was a dude, wrapped up like a mummy, only his face showing.

Victor almost lost it when he saw who it was.

It was Luke, the top bodyguard! The unbeatable Witchcraft Master Aaron hired for over ten million bucks.

How the heck did Luke end up like this?

Victor, shaking, asked, "What happened to Luke?"

William, cool as a cucumber, said, "I did it!"

Victor's eyes nearly popped out. He stuttered, "You did it?"

Everyone's eyes were glued to William.

That was a Witchcraft Master, the top bodyguard.

Someone was about to call BS, but then Luke struggled to get off the stretcher.

He straight-up apologized to William, "Mr. Davis, I was blind. I messed up. Thanks for not killing me."

Luke knew William's power. If William wanted him dead, he'd be toast.

Victor and his crew were losing their minds.

Then, Aaron and the whole Smith family also apologized to William in unison, "Mr. Davis, we messed up yesterday, we're here to say sorry."

Victor's vision blurred, and he almost passed out. It dawned on him that this young man was the real deal. It explained why the big shot couldn't be found at the Sapphire Club.

Turned out, the one guy Victor ignored, William, was the big shot.

As the realization hit that William was the big shot Aaron had been searching for, Victor and his crew began to tremble.

But what had they just done? They snatched his ring and threatened to break his legs. They'd pissed off someone who could take down Luke. They were toast!

Aaron, with his eagle eyes, saw Victor was off.

He immediately barked, "Victor, you idiot. Did you mess with Mr. Davis?"

"I..." Victor stammered, lost for words.

Victor's guys were all shaking in their boots.

"Nothing much, he just took my mom's ring and threatened to break my legs," William said.

Hearing that, Aaron lost it. How could Victor be so dumb?

He suddenly stepped up and slapped Victor hard, multiple times. Not only did Aaron break Victor's glasses, but he also turned Victor's face into a bloody mess.

Aaron roared, "How dare you mess with Mr. Davis? I'll make sure you can't survive in Starlight City!"

Victor and his guys couldn't hold it in anymore and begged for mercy. "Mr. Davis, we were wrong! Please spare us!"

Victor immediately took off the ring and held it up with both hands. "Mr. Davis, I'll give the ring back. I'll compensate you with anything you want."

Victor was in a tight spot. Knowing that William could easily handle Luke, taking him out would be a piece of cake.

If Victor didn't beg for mercy, he was a goner.

William took the ring and suddenly sighed, "Too bad it's been worn by someone else, it's dirty now."

"What?" Victor was stunned, not getting what William meant.

But Aaron got it. He immediately shouted, "Hurry! Victor, what are you waiting for? Do you want me to do it, or will you do it yourself?"
