Chapter 57 We Haven't Seen Much of the World

Elijah was on his knees in a flash. "I had no idea you were the Lord of Wizard, man! Please, cut me some slack for being a jerk earlier!"

William tossed a list at Elijah. "I need these herbs, and I need 'em all. Whatever you got, I'll take it."

Elijah snatched it up and nodded like a bobblehead. "Got it, boss."

"And keep it on the down-low. If I find out you blabbed, this is what happens." William picked up a gem and crushed it like it was nothing.

Then, William dragged Victor around to hit up a bunch of herb suppliers. He strong-armed every single one of them.

By the end of the night, William had all the herb suppliers in his pocket. He even had Aaron send folks straight to the herb farms to grab the goods right from the source.

Aaron and Victor really pulled their weight in getting those herbs together. They managed to round up everything needed for the Strengthening Body Pill.

But now they were standing in front of William, looking all nervous and twitchy.

William snapped, "Spit it out already!"

"Mr. Davis, we got all the herbs for the Strengthening Body Pill..." They were clearly hoping William would whip up the pills for them.

William rolled his eyes. "That's it? You were sweating over that? Bring the herbs here. Come get your Strengthening Body Pills tomorrow morning."

They suddenly lit up like Christmas trees at William's words, then rushed to drop off all the herbs at Serenade Villa.

The next morning, they were waiting outside like kids on Christmas.

William strolled out and tossed four Strengthening Body Pills to Aaron and Victor.

They stared at the pills like they were holding gold, practically losing their minds.

Aaron and Victor were almost in tears. "Thank you, Mr. Davis! Thank you so much..."

William grumbled, "It's just a few pills, chill out."

Aaron and Victor quickly realized they were overdoing it. "Mr. Davis, sorry for acting like noobs. We're kinda green around the edges."

Then they gave their updates.

Victor said, "Mr. Davis, we'll have all the herbs you need in fifteen days."

Aaron chimed in, "Mr. Davis, I'm thinking of throwing a big bash, invite all the big shots in the pharmaceutical game. Settle the distributors and all that. What do you think?"

William nodded. "Good idea. Fiona will be there too. Let everyone meet the new Pharmaceutical Tycoon of Starlight City."

Aaron nodded eagerly. "Got it."

That evening, William received a call from Kieran. Kieran wanted to invite him and Victor for dinner. It turned out that Victor had landed jobs for their family.

Soon, Victor rolled up in his car to pick them up.

In the car, Victor was juggling calls, looking pissed.

He sighed, "Mr. Davis, I might not be much help to you soon."

William asked, "What's going on?"

Victor sighed deeply, "Mr. Davis, you might not know, but my turf's been under attack non-stop for days, and all my guys are out there."

William frowned. "Aren't you the big boss in Starlight City now? Who's got the guts to mess with you?"

Victor sighed again. "Mr. Davis, it's embarrassing. Actually, the Serpent Gang took three-quarters of Kyle's territory and assets. I only got a quarter."

William raised an eyebrow. "The Serpent Gang?"

Victor nodded. "Yeah. They're the second biggest dark force in Starlight City. I mostly gather intel. They're stronger muscle-wise."

He looked worried and said, "The Serpent Gang's fighters are tough, especially the Crimson Brothers, who are Intermediate wizards. Only Thomas could keep them in check before. Now that Kyle's gone, they're running wild."

Victor hesitated to ask for William's help, as he couldn't imagine someone like William getting his hands dirty with this kind of stuff.Soon, they arrived at the restaurant.

The Ward couple greeted them warmly, "William, we weren't sure what you like, so we just ordered some regular stuff!"

William smiled. "Anything's fine."

After they sat down, Kieran started thanking them, especially Victor, for setting them up with cushy jobs.

The Ward couple were straight-up folks. Victor had arranged jobs worth hundreds of thousands for them, but they wouldn't take it, just wanted normal pay.

It was no big deal for Victor.

William said, "You did good with this."

Victor was touched by William's praise.

Just then, the door burst open, and over a hundred people stormed in, packing the room.
