Chapter 7 Holding the Four Great Wizards Accountable

Xavier uttered, "Fiona, chill out. I've been hunting for William all these years. I owe him and Eden big time. Gotta make things right with William."

"Now that I'm running the Davis fam, no one's gonna mess with William. And you won't get dragged into it either," he added.

Fiona finally let out a sigh of relief.

"All I want is for William to have a chill life. I'll leave him in your hands. Don't sweat it, I won't screw over the Watson family."

Fiona jumped in, "Of course! William's like my own kid. Even if you didn't say anything, I'd look after him forever."

Xavier nodded. "Cool, that puts my mind at ease."

He added, "Oh, and isn't there something about William and Jasmine being engaged?"

Fiona admitted in a fluster.Xavier said, "Then let's make it official. Jasmine will marry William. She'll be my daughter-in-law."

Fiona was already shaking. "Okay."

Xavier reminded her, "But keep this on the down-low, just between us for now."

After hanging up, Fiona was a mess, couldn't calm down.

She finally got why Rose Corporation threw $7 billion her way and hired Jasmine. It was all Xavier's doing.

Her questions were answered. But she didn't dare spill the beans to anyone.

Fiona went to check on William and called him down for dinner.

At the table, Fiona asked, "William, what do you wanna do? I've got $7 billion for you to blow. You can do whatever you want."

This was Xavier's investment dough, basically William's cash.

Jasmine blurted out, "Mom! Do you even hear yourself?"

Eugene chimed in, "That's $7 billion from Rose Corporation, and you're just handing it to him?"

Eugene and Jasmine were freaking out.

Fiona brushed them off. "William, don't worry, I got you. Wanna work or start a biz?"

Eugene nodded. "Yeah, a guy should have a career."

But William said, "Fiona, for now, I don't wanna do anything."

Jasmine scoffed, and Eugene looked bummed. 'Living off others so shamelessly?'

William said, "I'm waiting for news!"

Fiona asked, "What news?"

William replied, "I'm hunting for my mom and all the enemies from back then. I want payback."

Fiona's face went pale.

She snapped, "Are you nuts? You think you can get revenge?"

Just thinking about the old hit made Fiona's face go white, her body shook, and she touched her right pinky finger.

Her pinky had been busted for a long time, now it was a fake. If someone didn't look closely, it wouldn't be noticed.

But William did and asked, "What happened to your pinky?"

Fiona got flustered. "It's nothing. Car accident."

Truth was, she got punished for helping William and Eden back then. Her pinky got busted, but it saved the Watson family.

Fiona couldn't mess with any of the old enemies.

The guy who broke her finger was Kyle Cox, the big bad in Starlight City.

The Watsons were big in Starlight City, but when it came to Kyle, they had to suck it up.

So, Fiona never told Eugene how her finger got busted.

But Kyle was the weakest of the crew that tried to off William and Eden.

Not to mention the top dogs in Eldoria, like the Davis family.

How could William get revenge? He was dreaming.

Even Fiona wouldn't dare to dream that big.

She bluntly said, "Don't even think about revenge. You're nowhere near capable!"

William shot back, "Don't worry, even the Davis family in Sintros City will have to bow down to me!"

Jasmine was about to laugh in his face when William's phone rang. It was Bradley.

Bradley never called unless it was serious.

William answered, annoyed. "What is it?"

Bradley, sounding cold, said, "Mr. Davis, we've hit a snag! There's a lot of pushback on our investigation. Seems like folks in Eldoria don't want us digging. We can only trace it back to Starlight City for now."

"Have the four wizards in my office tomorrow! I need to know what they're up to."

Everyone at the table stared at him. Did they just hear that right? This loser wanted to hold the four wizards accountable?

Jasmine yelled, "Mom! Did you hear that? Does he even know what he's saying? You want me to marry this guy?"

William was just showing off.

Fiona looked at him, slightly disappointed.

She thought, 'Even your dad Xavier wouldn't talk this big. And you think this proves you can get revenge?'

Eugene snapped, "I don't want to hear this crap again. Or you're out!" He was totally let down by William.

Fiona quickly said, "Alright, William, stop thinking about your mom. Take a break, and let me know if you need money!"

Jasmine said, "Mom, Dad, I'm done eating. I'm going to my room to prep for work tomorrow."

Going upstairs, she shot William a dirty look, clearly indicating that she didn't even want to share a table with him.

The next day, Jasmine and Cassidy, wanting to make a good impression, arrived at Rose Corporation two hours early. They sat in the pretty empty lobby.

But soon, four people rushed in from outside.

These four were tall and imposing, giving off a vibe that made one's skin crawl. That was pure killing intent.

Jasmine noticed them right away.

Cassidy whispered, "Jasmine, no wonder this is Rose Corporation. The security is top-notch!"

Jasmine explained, "Rose Corporation's security is made up of the best of the best. Only top retired experts from various Wizarding Temples around the world get in."

Of course, Jasmine had seen these four before. They were the four wizards.

Because William was going to hold them accountable today, they came early, worried he'd beat them there.

To keep a low profile, they didn't wear their battle gear and hid their auras.

So, Jasmine only found them familiar but didn't recognize them.

After getting up, William absorbed enough cold energy from the Magical Ice Energy under the Watson Mansion to suppress the Fire Venom, and then he slowly headed to Rose Corporation.

When he got to his exclusive office, the four wizards were already waiting.

Seeing William's pissed-off look, the four were terrified.

"You four, come here!" William called, and they carefully approached.

William asked, "Why is all of Eldoria blocking my people from investigating? Is this aimed specifically at me?"
