His Rage

Restless, Alex sat at the head of the table, his laptop open as the room buzzed with heated discussions.

They were in the final stages of a ten-million-dollar deal, and Alex’s focus was laser-sharp. This contract was crucial for his pack, and he wasn’t about to let it slip through his fingers.

As the meeting pushed forward, he could feel the momentum building. They were so close—he could practically taste victory.

A smirk tugged at his lips as they ironed out the last details, his mind already jumping to what came next. But just as everything seemed to be falling into place, his phone buzzed, snapping him out of his concentration. He glanced at the screen, irritation building up when he saw who it was—Beta Marcus.

Muttering a quick apology, Alex stepped outside, his mind still on the deal. “What is it, Marcus?” he snapped, his patience hanging by a thread.

“Alpha Alex, there’s been a... development with the Silver Claw Alpha,” Marcus’s voice was tight, laced with a tension that immediately grabbed Alex’s attention.

“What kind of development?” Alex asked, curiosity starting to eclipse his annoyance.

“Alpha Morgan has refused to meet with you,” Marcus explained, sounding like he could hardly believe it himself. “She says that if you want to talk alliance, it’s on equal terms, or not at all.”

The nerve. Alex’s temper flared instantly. Alpha Morgan had the audacity to defy him? Especially after he’d been considerate enough to send Marcus in his place? He clenched his fists, trying to rein in his anger.

“Does she realize the consequences of her actions?” he growled, feeling the fire rise in his chest.

“I believe she does, Alpha,” Marcus replied, unease creeping into his tone. “But she’s holding her ground. What should we do?”

Without waiting for a response, Alex ended the call and reentered the conference room. The discussions hadn’t paused in his absence, but the moment he returned, all eyes were on him. He offered a tight smile, but his mind was already miles away from the deal.

“Apologies, gentlemen,” he said smoothly, his tone masking the storm brewing inside. “I’m afraid I’ll have to cut this meeting short. Something urgent has come up.”

There were a few murmurs of surprise, but Alex didn’t give them time to protest. He stood tall, commanding the room with his presence as he gathered his things. “I trust you can finalize the details without me,” he added, his gaze sweeping across the table, daring anyone to challenge him.

When no one did, he turned on his heel and strode out of the room, his mind racing. The audacity of Morgan’s defiance. He’d been more than fair, more than patient. But if she wanted to play hardball, then he’d show her exactly who she was dealing with.

His steps were quick as he made his way to the elevator. By the time he reached the parking lot, his hands were shaking with barely restrained anger. The deal, everything could wait. Right now, he had a Luna to confront.

Moment later, When he finally pulled up at the silver claw pack house, the smell of pine and earth filled his senses, grounding him—just barely.

After leaving his car, Alex jaw tightened as he approached, the two guards at the entrance shooting him wary looks. He didn’t care. He was past caring. Pushing past them without so much as a glance, Alex marched into the pack house, a storm brewing in his chest.

“Where is she?” he barked at the first pack member he saw.

The poor guy flinched, barely managing to point toward a room before dropping his gaze to the floor, "In there,"

Not bothering to knock, Alex shoved the door open with enough force to make it crash against the wall. Morgan looked up, surprise flashing across her face before she quickly masked it with that damn defiant look she always had.

“Forgot how to use a door?” she sneered, her voice dripping with sarcasm.

Scoffing, Alex didn’t even dignify it with a response. He closed the distance between them in two strides, grabbed her, and slung her over his shoulder like she weighed nothing. “You wanted me to come get you? Wish granted,” he growled, striding out of the room with her kicking and yelling over his shoulder.

Holding her like a rag doll, he ignored her protests, brushing off the shocked stares from her pack members as he headed for the exit. Pleasantries were off the table. Alpha Morgan had crossed a line, and now she was going to see exactly what that meant.

He carried her to a secluded clearing, far from any prying eyes. When he finally set her down, it wasn’t gentle. His expression was hard, brooding, every muscle in his body tensed with barely restrained anger.

“What the hell do you think you’re doing?” Morgan spat, brushing herself off as she glared at him.

“I’m here to remind you of your place,” Alex shot back, his voice dangerously low. “You don’t get to dictate terms to me. You don’t get to defy me without consequences.”

Rolling her eyes, Morgan’s brows narrowed, her chin lifting in that infuriatingly stubborn way of hers. “I won’t bow to you, Alex. I’m not going to bend just because you think you’re some kind of alpha king.”

The words hit him like a slap, but Alex wasn’t about to show it. He stepped closer, his gaze locking onto hers. “You will respect me, Morgan. You will respect the alliance I’ve offered, or you’ll regret it.”

“And what are you going to do?” she challenged, fire in her eyes.

Without thinking, Alex grabbed her chin, forcing her to look directly at him. “You don’t want to find out,” he warned, his voice a low, menacing growl.

For a moment, they stood there, neither willing to back down. The tension was thick, almost suffocating. Then, with a frustrated growl, Morgan tore herself away, her eyes blazing with anger.

“You might think you can bully me into submission, Alex, but you’re wrong,” she hissed, her voice shaking with fury. “I won’t be intimidated by you or anyone else.”

With one last cold stare, she spun on her heel to leave, but Alex wasn’t done. He grabbed her wrist, yanking her back and lifting her off the ground. He was done playing nice. He was done playing, period.

As he carried her toward his car, her eyes suddenly glowed red, but Alex just scoffed. “Seriously? You want war? Go ahead, attack me. See what happens. I’ll raze your pack to the ground without hesitation.”

Stuggling against her wolf rage, Morgan’s jaw tightened. But Alex wasn’t budging, his voice firm. “Do. You. Understand me?”
