Chapter 2

Anna wanted to get wasted to forget everything that has happened today.

Anna stepped out of the cab and into the pulsating lights of the club. The thumping music enveloped her, a cacophony of beats and bass that seemed to reverberate through every cell of her body. She was immediately swept up in a sea of writhing bodies, the air thick with the scent of sweat and alcohol.

The club was a dimly lit cavern, the walls and floor a deep, rich purple that seemed to glow in the strobing light. The bar was a long, curved affair, lined with stools and manned by bartenders who moved with the precision of robots. The dance floor was a churning mass of humanity, bodies pressed together in a sweaty embrace as they moved to the music.

Anna was buffeted by the crowd, her senses overwhelmed by the sheer intensity of the experience. She felt like a small boat adrift in a stormy sea, her fragile vessel battered by the waves of sound and motion.

As she made her way through the crowd, she felt the weight of male gazes upon her. Eyes roved over her body, lingering on her curves and contours. She felt like a piece of meat, a commodity to be devoured and discarded. But she didn't care. She wanted to lose herself in this sea of strangers, to forget her name and her past and her pain.

She reached the bar and ordered a drink, her voice lost in the din. The bartender, a tall, muscular man with a shaved head and a silver earring, smiled at her and handed her a glass filled with a murky liquid. She took a sip, the alcohol burning its way down her throat like a river of fire.

And then she was lost in the music, her body moving to the beat like a puppet on a string. She was a leaf on the wind, a feather on the breeze, a small and insignificant thing swept up in the maelstrom of the club.

She felt like she wanted to pee so she asked the bartender the way to the bathroom and she went there, staggering.

As she stumbled out of the bathroom, Anna's vision blurred and her legs trembled beneath her. She reached out to steady herself, but instead of finding the wall she expected, her hand landed on a solid chest. She looked up, her gaze meeting the piercing emerald green eyes of a handsome stranger. His eyes seemed to bore into her soul, and for a moment, they just stared at each other, the music and laughter of the club fading into the background.

The stranger's eyes crinkled at the corners as he smiled, and he reached out to steady Anna, his hand wrapping around her elbow. "Hey, are you okay?" he asked, his voice low and husky, sending shivers down her spine.

Anna nodded, her mouth feeling dry, her words caught in her throat. She couldn't help but stare at the stranger, his chiseled features and sharp jawline making her heart race.

The stranger's eyes never left hers, and Anna felt like he could see right through her, to the depths of her soul. She felt exposed, vulnerable, but also, strangely, safe.

"Let me get you some water," he said, his hand still wrapped around her elbow, guiding her through the crowd.

Anna nodded, her legs still wobbly, her heart still racing. She couldn't help but wonder what had just happened, and what this stranger wanted from her. But as she looked into his eyes, she felt a spark of connection, a sense that this chance encounter might just change everything.

As the stranger offered her the water, Anna's instincts took over. She flung the cup away, the water splashing everywhere, and crashed her lips onto his. The stranger's eyes widened in surprise, but he quickly recovered, his lips responding with equal passion.

Anna didn't care about the stranger's name, his past, or his intentions. All she wanted was to escape the pain and humiliation of her past. And in this moment, this handsome stranger represented freedom, excitement, and a chance to forget.

Without a word, they stumbled towards the exit, their lips still locked. They found themselves in a nearby hotel room, their passion consuming them. Anna didn't think about the consequences, she just let go, letting the stranger's embrace consume her.

In that moment, she felt alive, free, and desired. The stranger's emerald eyes seemed to see right through her, and she felt like he understood her in a way no one else ever had. They didn't need words; their bodies spoke a language all their own.

As they lay there, spent and exhausted, Anna realized she had never felt so alive. She didn't know the stranger's name, but she knew she would never forget this night, this moment, and the way he made her feel. His eyes seemed to hold a deep understanding, as if he knew exactly what she needed.

In the dim light of the hotel room, Anna saw a glimpse of something more, something that went beyond a mere one-night stand. She saw a connection, a spark that hinted at a deeper passion, a greater desire.

The stranger's fingers traced her skin, sending shivers down her spine. His touch was gentle, yet firm, as if he knew exactly how to awaken her senses. Anna felt herself melting into his embrace, her heart pounding in her chest.

For the first time in her life, Anna felt truly free, truly alive. She didn't know what the future held, but in this moment, she knew she wanted more of this, more of him. And as she drifted off to sleep, wrapped in the stranger's arms.
