Chapter 3

One of the enemies ran towards their brother who had already dropped dead on the floor.

He lightly touched his neck just to check whether he was breathing but he was surprised that Samson had already dropped dead on the ground and wasn't breathing.

"Brothers, Samson is dead!” he yelled angrily with anger in his voice.

Almost immediately, when they heard one of their brothers was dead, they seemed so angry that all of them charged toward Diego except the one who was still staying at Samson's dead body.

Even Nadine wasn't left out as she was probably more than shocked as everything happened in a second, and she wouldn't stop wondering why the handsome man had come to save her even without knowing him.

Swish!

There was a quick flash that got everyone that charged towards Diego flying in the air, if care hadn't been taken they would all have been mistaken as birds flying in the air.

Diego could hear their screams which sounded exciting to him but to others, it sounded like cries of being scared of heights and death.

Five of Diego's fingers casually dropped down and within a second all of them dropped down to the ground making a heavy noise as if it was luggage that was dropped.

" Wait… They're bleeding from the head!" Nadine screamed out in shock which was boldly written on her face.

"Do you want to bleed for them instead?" Diego frowned.

Nadine felt intimidated by the cold expression on the handsome man who was even unable to speak out what she had already said in her mind, " Why would I want to bleed for the enemies that killed my parents and wipe off half of our pack members, why?!"

" Then keep your damn mouth under lock and key!" Diego said coldly before removing his gaze from hers.

When Nadine returned to her senses she realized all the enemies had been killed by the handsome man but she was still in the position where she was until she remembered how she was told to keep her mouth locked "Wait, wait, can he hear my thoughts, huh?"

Everything happened so quickly that her gut was instantly set on a particular thing, her gut was telling her the handsome man was probably an angel who had probably heard her cries.

She was still thinking when she found her butt landed on the ground which made her scream out in pain and agony.

"Handsome angel, why did you drop my butt like that in that manner, don't you have any regard for a lady?!" Nadine thought inwardly but to her regret her thoughts were being read.

"You shouldn't have made that remark!" Diego said coldly and instantly started carrying his feet one after the other while Nadine couldn't help but draw backward in pure fear.

" I.m. I'm sorry handsome angel" she pleaded but little did she know that the words angel sparked up some reaction in him that made him more than annoyed.

" I'm a demon, not an angel!"

"Demon?" Nadine stammered in shock and fear as she began crawling backward.

"Scared huh?"

"Huh, why would I be scared? I'm not scared, if you're a demon then I'm also a devil." Nadine said dryly before stylishly laughing at her words as she found it funny.

" Do you think this is funny, little one?" Diego asked and just like that his gaze instantly changed and his hands suddenly gripped Nadine's neck, choking her still she was unable to breathe.

"Continue laughing, don't you find it funny anymore, huh?" Diego coldly as his eyes suddenly met with hers and could see tears rolling down her cheeks.

Almost immediately, Diego suddenly felt he was being choked and he started finding it hard to breathe.

"What the heck?!" Diego thought before releasing her from his grip and just like that the choking he was feeling instantly died down.

Surprisingly, Diego was still confused about what had just happened a few seconds ago.

" Hey, demon! Why the hell did you save me from the enemies that wanted me dead when you knew you would kill me!" Nadine yelled furiously as she found it hard to catch her breath.

Diego bent over to her level and forcefully held her chin he instantly felt something was holding his but still, he hadn't derived the answer to his question.

"You have just five seconds to answer my question and if you lie you snooze, did you get it ?"

"What question do you want to ask? Who are you to ask me a question? Just because you saved me warranty you to question me, huh?"

" You don't have a choice, the only choice you've now is to answer the question you're being asked, okay?" Diego said coldly which sent shivers down Nadine's spine.

She felt a sudden change in his gaze, it was the same way when he was killed earlier.

"Are you a virgin or not?" Diego asked, hiding his anxiousness in between the cold expression on his face.

"Huh, why?" Nadine asked slowly as she wasn't expecting the question she was being asked.

"You've just two seconds left to answer my question, the moment the second I gave you is gone you die immediately, trust me, I'll keep to my words!"

"Don't dare me!" Diego whispered the last part.

Seconds passed and Nadine was still contemplating the answer she could give.

Almost immediately Diego was about to speak when he suddenly heard her response.

"Y Yes, I'm a virgin!" She stuttered, avoiding Diego's eye contact.

"She sounds different from others, could she be telling the truth?" Diego thought and instantly felt sudden happiness overwhelm him he realized there was still hope for his Annie.

"Can I leave now?" Nadine asked as she instantly stood dusting her body ready to leave without waiting for his response.

"No, you can't leave!"

"You!" She was about to turn around to lash out at him when she was knocked out and fell freely into his broad chest.
