Chapter 2 A Night with a Stranger

Seraphina's Perspective:

I could feel the raw rage of his wolf form, ready to rip me apart. As an unawakened wolf, the intensity of a stronger opponent sent chills down my spine.

I slapped myself, shaking off the urge to give in. I crashed through the nearest window, tumbling onto the lawn with shards of glass raining around me.

"Fire!" I screamed with everything I had, spotting Baron trying to leap out and grab me. My sharp, urgent cry caught the attention of the nearby werewolves.

Taking advantage of the distraction, I got up and ran. But the drug was too strong. I didn't get far before collapsing from exhaustion, falling into a broad, warm embrace.

My last bit of sanity told me to escape, but I couldn't resist the scent. I even craved more intimate contact.

I'd never felt this way before. My mind was blank, my body out of control, driven by primal desire.

I clung to the werewolf pressing down on me, arching my back to meet him.

He smelled amazing, a sweet scent that calmed the fire inside me.

I felt warm lips trailing down my neck, shoulders, chest, and even more shameful places.

"Ah," I moaned, inviting him to go deeper.

His tongue invaded my mouth, dominating and entwining with mine.

His hot hands roamed my skin, making me shiver. He lifted my skirt and gently parted my legs.

"No," I whispered shyly, but he kissed me again, easing my unease.

The next moment, a sharp pain accompanied his rough thrust.

I bit down on his tongue, the taste of blood filling our mouths. The blood seemed to excite him, and he suddenly sped up.

An indescribable sensation replaced the painful heat, and I gradually lost myself in the absurd pleasure.

The number of times we made love that night blurred into uncertainty.

When I woke up again, it was almost dawn. The male wolf lay beside me. Overwhelmed and unable to face him or the events of the night, I fled.

I rushed home, eager to ask Carol about the previous night's events. As soon as I walked in, Carol struck me hard across the face.

My ears rang, muffling all sound. I could only see Carol's twisted expression as he spoke.

Behind him stood my stepmother Ophelia and stepsister Cecilia Windsor, looking at me with mockery and disgust.

It wasn't until Carol pushed me again that I heard him.

"Where were you? The guest said you scratched him last night and then ran away. What are these marks on you?" Carol grabbed my hair roughly, his expression fierce as if he wanted to devour me.

"Dad..." I looked at the unfamiliar Carol in disbelief, choking out, "So you really see me as just an item to be bartered?"

"Don't call me Dad. I don't have a worthless daughter like you!" Carol pushed me to the ground. His face was more severe than I had ever seen. "Do you know how much money and effort I spent on that deal? You've ruined everything. If I'd known this would happen, I never would have taken you in. You should have died with your mother!"

His words hit me like a sledgehammer to the chest. Tears clouded my vision.

Crushed by despair and pain, I bowed my head and wept quietly. The world I'd imagined since childhood collapsed at that moment.

Only then did I understand that Carol didn't love me. He knew everything Ophelia did to me. All the fatherly love was a facade, to trade me away like an object one day.

"I want to leave this place," I murmured in a daze. "I must take my mother and leave!"

The very presence of these people suffocated me. Sharing air with them made me feel ill.

"Take your mother? You mean that urn of ashes?" Carol sneered, looking at me with contempt.

"Sorry!" Ophelia said, her expression sharp and mean. "I accidentally broke your mother's urn that day. You'll have to dig through the garbage to find her ashes now!"

"I'll kill you!" After hearing that, it felt like my heart was being ripped out. I lunged at her, screaming.

'Kill them!'

That thought consumed me.

"You're too confident!" Carol dismissed me with a swift backhand.

As I crashed to the ground, pain radiated through me as though my bones were splintering. I curled up, glaring at them, blood trickling from my mouth, shouting in hatred, "I will expose everything you've done!"

"You're just an unawakened Alpha werewolf. The wolf clan won't bother with a reject like you. You don't stand a chance!" Carol's cold laugh echoed in the air.

"What are you going to do?" Before I could react, two Omegas grabbed me and started dragging me out.

"Let go of me!"

I knew they were going to lock me in the dungeon. Since childhood, whenever Ophelia was unhappy, she would lock me there, sometimes for half a month or more.

I had always clung to the hope that Carol might rescue me, but he never appeared. I comforted myself with thoughts that he was too busy to notice my plight.

However, he knew everything and didn't care.

"Carol, you bastard! You'll be punished!" I screamed in anger, but all I got were a few disdainful sneers.
