Chapter 6 He Reacted to Her

Alex's Perspective:

I still wasn't used to being this close, and I instinctively wanted to pull away.

"Why are you dodging? Feeling guilty? Did you really swipe my allowance?" The little girl's rosy cheeks turned red with anger. "You're so cheap, you definitely wouldn't spend your own money. You must have taken mine!"

"I didn't!" I shot back loudly.

"Then why did you steal my allowance to buy chocolate before? You wouldn't even share it with me until I begged you. And then I found out you used my allowance to buy it."

I heard a chuckle from above, and then the woman patted the girl's head. "Alright, let it go. I'll give you more allowance later, okay?"

"Mom, you're the best." The girl finally smiled contentedly and made a cute face at me.

I wasn't mad; actually, I found her pretty adorable and couldn't help but smile, too.

Before I knew it, I had been walking with them for a while. I followed them almost without thinking.

Silas's Perspective:

I sat irritably in the car heading to the airport.

This was the fifth time Alex had run away from home, and his rebelliousness was getting worse. When I found him, I was definitely going to teach him a lesson.

Silas's Perspective:

"Sir," my assistant Harris Brown handed me a tablet. “We've got word from the airport. This woman took Alex out."

I took the tablet and looked at the woman and two kids on the screen, frowning slightly.

"Find her. If anything happens to Alex, you'll all pay for it!" I threw the tablet aside in frustration.

How dare she take my son! She was looking for trouble.

"Yes, sir," Harris responded and immediately started making calls.

Seraphina's Perspective:

After settling Lucas and Saki in the hotel, I hadn't even made it to the supermarket before Saki started complaining about being hungry and demanding fried chicken and burgers. Since the hotel didn't offer them, I went to a nearby fast-food restaurant.

As I stepped out with the hot food, I felt an overwhelming Alpha presence coming straight at me. If I hadn't awakened my werewolf instincts after giving birth, I might have been compelled to kneel before this dominant force.

A tall, imposing werewolf dressed in a black windbreaker, flanked by a few others in suits, approached me. I didn't recognize him and was about to leave when he suddenly grabbed my neck and slammed me against a wall. Pain shot through me, forcing me to stand on my tiptoes.

'Who is this lunatic?' I thought, trying to tap his hand to indicate that I couldn't speak.

Silas's Perspective:

Silas loosened his grip slightly and asked coldly, "Where's my son?"

"Go ask your wife for your son. I'm not your wife, ah!" Before I could finish, he tightened his grip again.

"I'll ask you one more time; where's my son?" Silas's eyes narrowed dangerously.

I knew I couldn't win against him, so I had to give in. "There's a misunderstanding. I've never seen your son. You must be mistaken."

Silas pressed his thin lips together in frustration and shoved the tablet in my face. "Airport surveillance caught you taking my son! Don't try to deny it."

The iPad was too close for me to see clearly. I tilted my head back to get a better look. But then, a startling realization hit me—wasn't that my own child on the screen?

The grumpy man in front of me, what was he planning? Was this some twisted new form of child trafficking?

"Where's my son?" Silas leaned in, almost nose to nose with me.

I felt a bit dazzy, but the choking sensation on my neck didn't allow me to think much. My cheeks started to swell, feeling like they were about to burst.

"You should know who I am. You can't handle the consequences of taking my son!"

Seraphina's Perspective:

Having survived immense trauma, my instincts to survive were sharper than most. Knowing I couldn't overpower him physically, I resorted to another tactic. I lashed out with all my strength, aiming a kick towards his groin.

Silas reacted quickly, grabbing my leg and using the momentum to slam me onto a nearby table. As I tried to get up, his massive body pressed down on me.

His hard, hot chest was pressed tightly against my bare back. I was wearing a backless dress today, and I could clearly feel his body heat and his quickened heartbeat from anger.

The rush of hormones from the werewolf Alpha overwhelmed me instantly, causing me to recoil shyly, my cheeks flushing red.

"You are such a reckless woman!" he growled in my ear. "Do you have a death wish?"

His warm breath on my ear made me shiver. I struggled uncomfortably, wanting to escape this ambiguous situation.

But the difference in our strength was too great, and despite my efforts, I couldn't escape his grasp. Suddenly, he shouted, "Stop moving!"

I felt something hard pressing against my butt. Even through the fabric of my dress, I could feel the heat. I froze.

A flash of embarrassment crossed Silas's handsome face, and he loosened his grip on me.

I didn't care about anything else and pushed him away hard, fleeing in panic.
