FIVE!

BRIANNA

It left like a piece of my heart was shattered but at the same time I felt whole again. I watched as the man in front of me fidgeted, looking around himself and behind his shoulder.

The man I met yesterday seemed to be in control of his world, not looking sad and afraid.

“Ha!” I felt a sharp pain in my chest. I held my chest and I kneel to give me more balance.

“What’s going on?” I asked myself, maybe I should have stayed up with Trish, maybe I won’t have been feeling this way.

I felt a showdown and I looked up to see him close to me. Fear gripped me as I saw a change in his beautiful blue eyes. It looked red and some dark lines surrounded it.

I didn’t wait to be told, I picked up myself and ran. I looked behind me to see him close but we were very far from where we were.

“How did we get here so fast?” I’m more confused than ever.

“You have super speed,” I heard two voices, a female voice inside my head and another behind me.

“Don’t hurt me,” I surrendered, knowing he had cut up to me.

“I’m not going to hurt you,” his voice came out rather soft and sweet. Images of last night played in my head.

I coughed slightly, “they why are you chasing after me?” I asked him.

“You ran first,” he smirked and I found myself smiling back.

“Don’t smile, genius , ask him what he wants,” I heard the voice again in my head. I rolled my eyes at the sound.

“What do you want from me?” I asked him. He looked up to the sky and placed his hands in his pocket.

“I have a lot of questions,” he said rather weirdly, “who are you? How does my father know you? Why are you in the human world?”

I chuckled, “that’s a lot of questions for a one-night stand, don’t you think?” I said to him and his eyes changed colors again.

“I could get the answer that way, if that’s what you want, “he flirted.

We are in the middle of nowhere and I’m standing with a man I slept with last night at her party but somehow with all of this danger around, I feel drawn to him and his presence is rather calming.

I bit my lips, “my friends call me Brianna,” I said to him, sounding nervous, “and to the answers to the rest of your questions,” I inhaled loudly, “I have no idea,”

He scoffs. I began to wonder if he believes me at all but, I’m beginning not to care. I want to go back home.

“So, you expect me to believe that?” he asked, taking an authoritative stand. I have a full view of him now, no fear or anxiety. Just a man, standing right in front of me.

The shirt he wore was loosened a little, showing some of his arbs. His legs seem to be fitted inside his pants and I love to feel those legs around mine again.

“Girl, you are wide,” I heard that voice again.

“Lily?” I asked, “can I call you Lily?” I asked her. I felt her nodding and I smiled, not minding the handsome man in front of me.

“Shut up Lily and let me focus,” she gave an unfamiliar sound, causing the fear in me to grow.

“You really don’t know,” I heard him say as he took my hands, caressing it to calm me down.

“I really don’t,” I said, taking my hands from his, and avoiding eye contact.

“Where are your parents?” he asked with authority, just like last night.

“Dead,” I said, rather calmly. This is the first time; I acknowledge their passing away. I mostly lie to people but with him it feels easy to tell the truth.

“Who are you?” I asked, wanting to know more about him, since he clearly knows my name.

“I’m Liam. Son of the Highest Alpha King,” he stretched his hands forward, leading me to a path.

“OH, an heir and a gentleman,” Lily said and I rolled my eyes. I could hear him snicker behind.

I froze in shock, “can he hear you, Lily?” I asked and felt a tingly on my waist, it was his hands.

“Everything alright?” he asked and I nodded yes.

“No, he can’t,” Lily said to me, “he is probably talking to his wolf as well,” I sighed in confusion. All of this is strange to me as somehow I have a feeling that there is more to come.

“So, if you don’t know who you are….?” He tries to ask but I cut him off.

“I know who I am?” I said, defensively, “I’m a doctor and a damn good one,”

He laughed, holding his chest, “that’s such a human thing to say,” he said, making me pissed.

“Well, I guess that’s what makes us human,” I said and walked away from him.

He ran after me, standing in front of me. I tried to move away but he won’t let me. “Move,” I said, looking pissed.

“Come on. Humans like a little joke,” he said, making strange images with his fingers. I smiled wondering what he was doing.

” I only meant to say,” he sighed, looking at me, “how did you know about the party if you didn’t know you were a werewolf until last night?” he asked.

“My best friend Trish brought me along,” I said, feeling a bit open for telling my life story to a man I just met.

“What about her?” he asked and I remembered Trish telling me she is also a werewolf and a witch only I am more powerful.

I exhaled, “I don’t know,” I lied, “I don’t care what she has to say,” I told him.

“You just said she is your best friend,” he said, softly.

“Clearly, I need new friends,” I said. I saw a road between the trees. I felt happy because my legs were beginning to hurt me.

“So, your friend brought you to the party and you ended up sleeping with me,” he said, staring into my eyes.

“Yeah, I guess so,” I said shyly, trying to break eye contact but he stopped me and brought our faces together.

I bat my lashes, hoping for something less scary. Our lips collided with each other, my hands went over his shoulder and he brought me closer by pulling me by my waist.

I felt hungry for him and I have never felt this way for anyone before. I felt a slight pain on my lips and he broke the kiss.

My eyes were closed as the feeling of my heart shattering and coming together filled me up like earlier only this one was more intense.

“What did you do?” I was scared. He was about to speak when a wind took him up and slammed him against a tree and I saw Trish standing in front of me.

“Trish!” I yelled, “What’s going on?” I asked, wondering in my mind how she found me.

“Wondering how I found you?” she asked sarcastically, “if I can, he can,” she said pointing at Liam, who laid lifeless on the ground, “and so can his father,” she said and dragged me away.

“What does that even mean?” I jerked my hands away from her.

“His father killed your parents,” she said and it felt like blood stopped flowing through me. I know she has said this before but I think now, it’s sinking in.
