SEVEN!

BRIANNA

“Haa!” I yelled and touched my feet, I felt something liquid.

“Shut!” I sat down on the grass and looked at it. It wasn't a deep cut but blood keeps flowing out like it is.

A large bird jumped on me and pecked my injured feet.

“Shush,” I tried to chase it away but it wasn't going away. I tried to stand on my feet but I felt paralyzed.

More large birds came down from the skin and charged towards me like stones being thrown at me.

“Someone help!” I yelled but I could feel no one was close. Just me alone in a large field and one huge tree.

“Help!” I kept yelling as I crawled towards the tree, somehow I feel that the only way I will be saved from the Hughes bird.

I kept on screaming until I got to the tree. I placed my hands on it.

“Help!” I yelled and Trish barged into my room.

“What's wrong?” She asked, I removed my blanket from my body and took a look at my legs, there wasn't any blood but the mark of the injury was there.

I stood up immediately and got my drawing book. I drew the trees and the large birds.

“Do you know anything about this tree?” I asked her.

“No,” she gave me the exact answer she has been giving me this past few days ever since Liam bit me again and I started having weird dreams.

I sighed in defeat, “you keep saying no and I need answers,” I said to her.

“No, you don't. You need to stay safe away from the King,” she said to me.

“If Liam is really my mate like you said he won't let him kill me, he would protect me,” I tried to talk to her but she was giving in.

“Don't be naive, Brianna. You don't know anything about this world,” she said.

“Then tell me!” I yelled, “or I will go out there and ask questions and you know the King will find out and have me killed,’’ I said to her, firmly.

She looked at me and I prayed silently that I had won her over.

*I'm sorry, Brianna. But I can't risk it,” she quickly ran towards the door and closed it with spells.

“Shit!” I hit my head against the door. This has been our routine for the past few weeks and I'm getting tired of it.

I got into my closet and took my old camping bag. I packed some clothes in it and added some feminine essentials.

I'm done waiting for Trish to help me know who I am. If the highest Alpha king or his sons wants me dead then I can't just hide somewhere waiting for them to kill me.

I quickly open up the window, ever since Trish has been using magic on my door it seems she forgets to do the same on my window.

I dropped my bag down and thankfully it didn't make a lot of noises.

I have heard Trish refer to a certain person sometimes but I'm not there yet. I just want to know who I am and why I was kept hidden.

I got out of my room through the window and quickly ran towards the room.

I hail down a cab. I took a look back at my house. I sighed sadly because this might be the very last time I see it and I had to leave sneaking away. Damn you Trish.

“Ivy road,” I said to the cab driver, looking at a map I got from one of my Mom's things.

“Are you sure you want to go there?” The cab driver ask and I was surprised by his question, “that place is full of nasty people,”

“I will be alright,” I said to him, looking at the map. There was a place marked an old coven and another place marked a gate.

“What do they mean by gate?” I asked myself as the cab stopped moving. I looked at the map and looked at where we were.

“This isn't my destination,” I said to him.

“This is where I stop. I'm not going in there,” I gave him his fare and got out of his cab pissed.

I walked deeper into Ivy street and the cab driver was right. It is a nasty place filled with nasty people.

I got glare from people and I wonder why. Do they know who I am? Am I in the werewolf world already?

Nah, I don't think so. I shouldn't be seeing humans right.

I stopped in front of what looked like a cathedral and looked at my map. This is the place my mom marked as an old coven.

I walked inside the building and everywhere was dark and I felt blind. I stood by the door to get accustomed to the darkness and it worked.

“Hello?” I called out in the darkness because I didn't know what to do.

“Anybody here?” I called out again but no answer. “Maybe Trish was right,” I thought and turned around.

“What do you seek?” I heard a whisper. Maybe she wasn't.

“Say again,” I said with one eye closed.

“What do you seek?” The voice asked again but this time loudly.

“Who I am!” I said loudly and a light came on but it wasn't our usual bulb and light.

There wasn't any bulb but a light radiated from the end of the hall.

“Come closer child,” the voice spoke again and I walked towards the light. With my bum shot, big shirt and backpack behind me.

I got to the light and an old woman sits on a wooden chair, she stretched her hands and I gave her a finger fearfully.

“Haa!” She took a bite at my finger and I hissed in pain.

She brought the blood to her fingers and licked it.

Her eyes shone at the taste of my blood, “oh oh,” I thought.

“It's you,” She said standing up and I moved backwards. She immediately turned into a young scary but beautiful woman.

“At last I will be free,” she said and charged towards me but she fell back into her chair and struggled to get up.

I looked back to see Trish behind me. She tapped my shoulder and I felt a surge of energy flow through me and this time there wasn't any struggle from the witch, instead she sat like she was paralyzed.

“What was that?” I asked her.

“I used you as an anchor to boost my powers because she is stronger than me,” Trish said.

“You came after me,” I said to her and she looked at me.

“Did you think I would just forget to place magic on the windows?” She asked, mocking me.

“Wait, you knew I would try to escape?” I asked and she nodded.

“According to the instructions left by my parents, you are the one that needs to find out about who you are. I'm not supposed to pressure you,” she said.

She walked me out of the building and I saw a van outside, she opened it and a lot of our stuff was in it.

“Are we going on a trip?” I asked.

“Yeah, we are going back to our world. The human world was boring anyway,” she said and I squeaked.
