CHAPTER 2
REBECCA
This. Place. Is. A. Castle!!!
I tried my best not to admire the huge stone building in front of me, but it was impossible. This place was even bigger than my father's estate.
Who is this guy?
Well, whoever he was, he must be stinking rich.. rich people.
"Move!" A guard pushed me forward. I had totally forgotten that I was surrounded by some strict looking men.
The sound of an approaching vehicle made me turn around. I took sight of the limo which had harboured the pretty boy.
He stepped out onto the white stone driveway.
His suit hugged his body like a third skin. He looked so confident and pride driven, you could see his influence, the stink of money surrounding him like an aura.
He made long strides towards the heavy oaked doors, without even giving me a second glance.
"Hey!" I yelled.
He stopped immediately, turning slowly to face me while I took fast and angry steps towards him. "What is the meaning of this? Is this some sort of kidnapping situation?" I asked, snapping my fingers to his face.
He stared at my direction blankly.
I couldn't really see his eyes due to his shades, so I took the liberty in taking off his shades and snapping them in two. I wanted to annoy him, I wanted him to let me go.
I mean, what right did he have to just take me with him?
I considered throwing the broken glasses to the bushes that lined up the front walk way, but my hand aimed it straight to his chest and watched as his eyes grow dark in anger, which also meant he was getting irritated and soon enough, I strongly believe he'll let me go.
Or will he?
"There," I dusted my hands dramatically, "They made you look blind anyway, just wanted to make sure you were looking directly into my eyes, so...I asked you a question pretty boy! What is the meaning of this?"
His jaw clenched tightly.
"Earlier, you dared me... I simply proved you wrong, you wanted to know what I could do? Here it is, here's your answer... You'll have to bear the burden of living with me for-"
"Hold on," I stopped him from completing his statement. "Just- who are you to make that decision? Who the fudge do you think you are?"
He raised a brow at my statement. "Fudge? Really?"
"Yeah, fudge, I don't curse."
He shook his head with a look I could clearly paint as amusement. "Well, to answer your question, I'm someone who can break your father with just a snap of my fingers... I'm someone who can bring down the Lewis empire in just a blink of an eye... I'm someone who can do whatever the fuck I want."
My eyes widened.
"How did you-"
"I know everything, and I also know that you're going to be spending 2 weeks here, that's your punishment for disrespecting me. In public."
Stunned, I was stunned, but I managed to act brave by giving him a mocking laugh. Surely he can't be serious.
"I'm not staying here with you, pretty boy! Over my dead body will I stay here with you! You're such an arrogant bastard-"
"It's not your choice," He cut me off. "if you disagree, your family would suffer the consequences, and your sister wouldn't be able to carry on with her stupid wedding!"
My heart skipped a beat.
"Wha- are you- are you kidding me? I mean... We just met like few minutes ago, I didn't even tell you my name! How do you even know this much about me? Are you stalking me now?"
"I'm not, I just wanted to know the girl who was stupid enough to challenge me."
"Why are you even doing this? What do you get out of this."
"My respect. I couldn't let you go scratch free after your little stunt... There were too many eyes... I have to teach you a good lesson so the others would know their fate when they stand up against me. You made a huge mistake coming out of that taxi."
I turned to the side, welcoming my thoughts.
How did he know I came out of the Taxi? He wasn't even looking.
I turned to look at him again but he had made his way into the mansion...
No, I must get out of this place!
I turned around to find a wall of six guards standing in my way. The hell?
"Do you all have sisters?" I asked them in the most softest voice I could muster.
"Move." The one in the middle growled out, grabbing and pushing me in the direction of the house.
With a sigh, I shook off the grip on my arm and walked to the direction the pretty boy had gone... Soon enough, I found myself going through giant doors and into the most beautiful, huge, perfectly furnished sitting room I've ever seen. I looked up in awe, my eyes met the glass like ceiling, but then something darted beneath my feet, I really didn't pay attention to that cause I was busy admiring the reflection of beautiful fishes all over the cei- wait a minute.
My gaze went straight to the ground beneath my feet.
Holy
Hell
What a-
The floor was- was an aquarium, like all the fudging beautiful fishes were swimming under my feet. It scared me, at first, I thought I was inside the sea, but then, I realized that the huge aquarium was built into the floor!
No way!
How much did this cost?
"Don't just stand there like a fool!" Pretty boy's voice broke through my thoughts.
I looked up to meet his dark eyes watching me with irritation. He bent fishing out a remote control from somewhere under the table beside a couch, and pressed a button on it, which I was sure caused the soft vibration that came from the floor, and then a wooden like surface appeared, making the aquatic ocean beneath my feet disappear in seconds. The ground looked like it was made from wood now.
What a beautiful sight he just erased!
I looked up at him. "I didn't peg you for a wildlife lover."
"Shut up-" he was going to say something but a guard interrupted.
"Sir Emeliano, the lady's luggage just arrived."
Luggage?
I turned to find my bags a small distance away from me.
"Thank you- you can leave." Emeliano, the pretty boy, muttered.
"Listen here... Emeliano. I'm not staying with you! I demand you let me go now or I'll call the cops." I told him with my head held high.
"You can try. But before you do, I want you to remember that I have your father's wealth at my mercy. So think before you act. And besides, I control the emergency services. You really don't know what you've gotten yourself into." He sat down on the cream coloured couch, sliding the remote back into its spot under the table.
"You're an-urgh. You're doing all this because I spoke the truth!" I yelled.
He smoothly got up, with long strides, he walked up to me with a hard glare plastered to his face. "No. One. Speaks to me in that manner. No. One." He snarled.
"Well, I'm not no one! I'm Rebecca Lewis! I stand for the truth! And I'm not going to let you hold me here against my will!" I blurted out in fear.
He scoffed, slipping his hands into his pockets.
"I can see you have a lot of pride in you... But let me tell you something, Rebecca. I'll be the one to quench that pride! I'll use you to pulp!" He gritted out.
I furrowed my brows in confusion. "What did I even do to you? You're acting like I murdered you in your past life and you're out for revenge or something."
"Oh, you haven't seen anything yet." He uttered tersely.
My eyes widened. what did he mean by that?
"Greta!" He yelled. Immediately, one of the maid rushed out.
"Yes, sir." She said softly.
"Get a room in one of the barns! She'll be the one to take care of the horses."
Wait... What is this? Medieval times?
"Excuse me? Barns?" I blinked.
"Yes, Barns."
Oh God... It's real...
"Hold on a minute... You can't do that!"
"Watch me. Greta take her luggages to her new room and make sure she has a work uniform."
I gasped.
"You're a psychopath! I won't be your slave! I promise I'll make your life a living hell! You're such a rich spoilt brat that thinks he can get whatever he wants! Just you wait, I'll get out of here! And when I do, I'll sue you and watch your stupid ego fade and drain to pulp." I retorted his last word back to him.
His eyes went darker and a vein threaned to pop out from his forehead.
With his eyes still on mine, he yelled. "Wait Greta!" Immediately, Greta stopped, turning back with my luggages. "I've had a change of heart."
I gave a sigh of relief. Thank God.
"Take her luggages to my room. She'll be sleeping there. With me. On the same bed."
My eyes widened even more. "What?!"
He gave a satisfied evil smirk.
I stood there and watched him walk away.
Yet again, my mouth never failed to make my life miserable.
God!
