Chapter 3
Flash Back
I let out an ear-piercing scream as I am blinded by the light seconds before hands grab me.
“Shhh, baby girl its ok… Its Jameson your safe now” Jameson says. I continue to scream as all I can think about is that they are going to be angry with me.
“Is she ok?” I hear another voice ask I think that it sounds like Tennessee but I can’t be certain. I don’t know how long I stay huddled into Jameson’s arms before I start to feel safe.
“Hey Hen. Its me Tennessee, are you ok?” Tennessee says.
“She is absolutely terrified. Is she hurt?” Tito asks keeping to the back.
“No, she has some small claw marks but otherwise I would say traumatised not hurt as such.” Jameson says as he moves towards the couch. I hear his murmurs but that is it.
Flash Back ended
“What the hell is your problem, Skky? Why the hell do you have such a problem with Hennessy she is your little sister” Tennessee growls.
“You can be an absolute b*h Skky” London snaps.
“This isn’t going to help the current issue but we will be revisiting this issue very soon” Tito says
“It’s fine Tito, I can leave now and make it to the neutral zone in about 10 hours. The streets and the city will be locked down in the next few hours so if I don’t leave now then I will be trapped here.” I say.
Without waiting for them to agree I grab my bag and necessities and get into my car. I hear London, Tennessee and Jameson b*hing about Skky but they cut off as I get in my car and start it up. I start driving immediately and wait for the Bluetooth to click on so I can rejoin the conversation.
I drive towards the south east gate and start to slow as I approach the guard station.
“Well, what the hell” Tennessee barks as I press mute as I approach the exit for the city.
Rolling down my window I paste the fakest real smile that I can muster.
“What are you doing leaving?” The guard at the exit asks.
“Headed to the wolf pack for the pup’s inoculations” I say as I hand over my papers and wait for them to grant me the ability to leave.
“Why now?” Another guard asks.
“Full moon, they are vulnerable right now and this is the best time to give them their shots” I say with little emotion.
Each guard is pair with an empath so they know whether you’re lying or not. Which is smart for the supernatural’s but also really freaking annoying. I have to work hard in not letting my heart race or my emotions show simply because they could find out what I am or not am as you could say.
But there is always a part of me that would love for them to tell me that I am a supernatural and that I am safe here so that I won’t be a burden to my family anymore but the other part is scared. It’s always the scared part of me that makes me follow my brothers and sister laws.
“Your fine to go, it says here that you will be gone for the next five days” The first guard says as he returns to my car.
“Yeah, there are over a thousand pups to inoculate so it will take a few days to get through them all. I have a detailed itinerary with me if that would help” I say hoping that he won’t ask.
“No, that is fine I will just note it on your file.” The guard says
“Great thanks, you can also check with Alpha Tito as I work with his pack as well and Demon Tennessee and Harpy Jameson and sometimes with the Black witch Coven, I think the contact there is London” I say with practised ease.
“That’s fine, but wouldn’t working with an assistant help you out?” The empath guard asks.
“Yes, it totally would but I do work with some of there individual kinds as they learn as well so I guess you could say that I have assistants in their individual species” I say.
“Your free to go, make sure that you come through this gate in five days that is when we are rostered back here and we will give you your scan then.” The first guard says. I don’t like the look on his face it’s like he knows something.
“Sure, see you then” I say and I drive off. As I turn the mute off on the phone so that I can rejoin the family conversation I look in the rearview mirror and see the first guard staring after my car. Its Skky’s voice that brings me back the arguing on the phone.
“What you can’t blame me, every full moon, every festival or when we get information about random super checks we have to rush to the stupid little human and make sure that she is protected and hidden. In my opinion she should be left on her own or killed she doesn’t belong here” Skky growls out angrily. "We shouldn't have to protect someone that isn't worthy of us nor should be have to run the risk of death should the Royals find out I think that it would be better for everyone invlived if we just kill her now. Skky says
"You need to shut you mouth Skky, or I swear to the goddess that you won't make another year Skky. I have just about enough of your constant bull" Tennessee growls
"You may not like her Skky but she is your sister and you need to shut it if you have nothing nice to say" London snaps
"I should of killed her when I had the chance" Skky whispers inside her head, only for her wolf to go absolutely mental. Its strange that even Skky's wolf like Hennessy more than she like Skky and she is sharing a body with me.
