Chapter 2

Roselina's Point of View

I wish I could have been surprised by what Jeffrey said, but I wasn't. This wasn't the first time my mom had moved us into one of her boyfriends' houses, and this wasn't the first time she had told me that she was getting married to one of them.

What surprised me was that Jeffrey didn't look like the others. He looked like he was a good guy who had made a good living for himself. He definitely didn't look like the kind of man who would be hanging out in the same places where my mom did.

I loved my mom, but she hadn't made the best choices in her life. She would go to bars and clubs to meet guys. She also had a drinking problem, though she would never admit it. If I were being honest, I would say I was the mature one out of the two of us. She had me when she was sixteen, to be honest. She still acted like a teenager, making me have to be the more responsible one out of us.

"Knock, knock," My mom said as she walked into my room. I was sitting on my bed thinking about everything that happened. My mom walked over to me and sat beside me on my bed.

"I don't think this is a good idea, mom. I don't think we should move in with him. You barely know him," I said

"Sweetheart, I know you are worried but I believe this is for the best," My mom replied

"But don't you think it would be best to get to know him first. I mean, this isn't the first time you told me you are getting married and they never end up the way you wanted," I said

"Well, this time is different," My mom said

"How can you be so sure?" I asked

"Because we are getting married Saturday night," My mom said and I looked at her.

"What?" I asked shocked

"You heard me, Lina. We are getting married Saturday night," My mom replied

"So, you are getting married the same night we move into his house. Don't you think that is too soon?" I asked

"Okay, that is enough. I know you are worried about me, but I know what I am doing. I love Jeffrey, and he loves me, and we are getting married," My mom said

"How can you love him when you barely know him?" I asked

"I said enough, Rosalina," my mom yelled, causing me to become quiet. I knew she was upset because she had called me by my full name, which she only did when she was angry. My mom sighed before continuing. "I am sorry for yelling at you, Lina, but I need you to know this is going to happen. I love Jeffrey and we are going to get married," My mom said

"What do you love about him?" I asked

"He is very handsome and rich. He is nice to me and buys me nice things. He wants to take care of me, Lina," My mom said, and I frowned. All she could tell me was about what he could offer her, which let me know she wasn't in love with him but with what he could offer her. I just stayed quiet, listening to her speak. "Just wait until you see his place, or I guess you should say our place. It's a fucking mansion, or I should say castle, and he has so many cars. Well, I guess so do I. He told me what's his is mine, which means I am fucking billionaire now, Lina. Can you believe that?" My mom squealed excitedly. I stayed silent, watching her.

"Can you please be happy for me, Lina? Please don't be selfish and ruin this for me," My mom said, and I sighed.

"I won't, Mom," I said, and my mom smiled.

"Thanks, Sweetie. You should finish packing. All yeah, and you will be going to a different school so you should say goodbye to your friends," My mom said

"But I like my school," I replied

"But there are better schools, Lina. Jeffrey owns a school called Crimson High. You will be starting there on Monday," my mom said

Saturday Morning

"I am going to miss you so much Rosalina," Chrissy said as she hugged me. It was Saturday morning and we were about to move into Jeffrey's mansion.

"I am going to miss you too, Chrissy," I replied. Both of us had tears in our eyes as we said goodbye to each other. Chrissy and I had been friends since Kindergarten. She had always had my back and been there for me. I didn't know what I would do wihtout her.

"Okay, girls that is enough. Jeffrey and I have others things to do. Let's go Lina," My mom said

"Oh, it's okay, Honey. They are saying goodbye," Jeffrey said and my mom rolled her eyes but didn't say anything.

"I will call you everyday and we will still be able to see each other," Chrissy said and I nodded. I looked at my mom to see she was glaring at me and knew she was becoming upset so I said bye to Chrissy once more and walked over to the white Escalade Limo to get in.

"You two can visit each other whenever you want. I will have one of my driver's drive her to you or you can come to our house to visit," Jeffrey said

"Really?" Chrissy and I said at the same time causing Jeffrey to laugh

"Yes, really," Jeffrey said.

"Thank you, Jeffrey," I said

"Of course," Jeffrey said and my mom, Jeffrey and I hopped into the Limo and a few seconds later the driver took off.

"Oh, I almost forgot. My son and daughter are waiting to meet you Roselina," Jeffrey said, shocking me. I didn't know he had a son

"Your, so and daughter," I said

"Yes, there names are Kane and Kelly. They are twins. Kane just came back from a business trip. THey eighteen and will be going to school with you at Crimson High," Jeffrey replied

We drove for about an hour before all I saw was trees. About fifteen minutes later we made it to a large golden gate that opened before we got to it. There were about ten men standing outside of the gate and I was pretty sure they were guards. We drove passed a houses, parks, and stores. I could see people walking down the street as we drove pass. It reminded me of a small village or someting. Five minutes later we pulled up to a house that just like my mom had told me before looked like a mansion.

"There was a girl around my age with long blond hair and blue eyes that reminded me of Jeffrey's eyes standing outside the house.

"That's Kelly," Jeffrey said and we got out of the Limo

"Hello, daddy," Kelly said as we walked over to where she was standing.

"Hello, Princess. This is Tina and her daughter Rosalina," Jeffrey said

"It's nice to meet you both," Kelly said

"It's nice to meet you too, Kelly," My mom said

"yeah, it's nice to meet you," I added.

"Why don't you show Rosalina to her room?" Jeffrey said

"Okay, we can help each other get ready for the wedding," Kelly said

"That would be great, Kelly. You seem to have a sense of fashion. Maybe you can help my daughter with that," My mom said, causing me to frown.

"I am sure Roselina can manage on her own," Jeffrey said and my mom laughed.

"You have no idea," My mom replied causing Jeffrey to frown at her. I was starting to see that Jeffrey wasn't a bad guy.

"Let's go," Kelly said and I followed after her. We made it to an elevator and Kelly put a key card on a sensor and pressed the sixth floor. "Only, you, me and Kane sleep on the sixth floor. This is your Keycard and you need it to get to the sixth floor. Your room is next to mine and across from Kane's. He was supposed to be waiting outside but something came up," Kelly said as the elevator door oepned. I took the Keycard that she had in her hand and thanked her.

"Oh, Kane, please, don't stop," I heard a girl say from across the room Kelly stop at. The door was cracked open. I could hear something banging against the wall and was sure it was the bed.

"Kane, the least you could do is shut your door all of the way," Kelly shouted but all that could be heard was the girls moaning and the bed hitting the wall.

"Try to open the door. All you have to do is scan that card on the sensor," Kelly said. I tried a few times but the card didn't work

"Quiet down," Kelly yelled in frustration

"I am busy," I heard Kane grunt.

"You know what?" Kelly said and she walked over to her room, took her keycard out and put it on the sensor. The door opened with no problem. "I am tired of my brother. All he does is sleep around. I am tired of hearing him sleep with so many girls. I told him the next time he did this he would be sorry," Kelly said as she took a bucket that was full with water and started walking out of her room.

"What are you doing?" I asked as I followed after her but she didn't answer. She kept walking until she got to Kane's room and walked inside. I stayed on the other side of the door and a few seconds later heard Kane and the a girl scream.

"What the fuck, Kelly."

"Run, Rosalina," Kelly said as she ran out of Kane's room. Before I could follow her Kane was standing by his door with only a pair of boxers on. My eyes connected with his ocean blues and it felt like I was frozen in place. I was shocked by what he said next.

"Mate."
