Chapter 5

Kane's Point of View

"Let me get this straight. You are telling me that the woman your Uncle Jeffrey is about to marry's daughter is your Mate," Chace asked. After Ashley left my room, I mind-linked Chace, telling him I needed to speak to him. As soon as he got to my room, I told him that Rosalina was my Mate.

"Yes," I replied

"And you are one hundred percent sure she is your mate?" Chace asked

"Yes, I am. I don't know how to describe it man, but as soon as my eyes connected with hers, I knew she was my Mate. She also smells amazing. She smells like strawberries, vanilla, and oranges. She is the most beautiful woman in the world. She is like an Angel," I said

"Oh, she must be your Mate. I have never heard you speak so highly about a woman before. I guess I won't get to have fun with her," Chace said, causing me to growl and push Chace into the wall.

" I was just joking, man. I would never try anything with your Mate. You know that," Chace said. I closed my eyes and tried to calm down before I killed Chace.

"You better watch it, man. That is my Mate you are talking about. I could have killed you," I said

"Yeah, I know. I could tell you were losing it. Your eyes were dark as night, and your wolf was about to take over. You got it bad, man," Chace said, and I sighed.

"I don't know what's happening to me. I can't stop thinking about her," I said

"It's the mate bond," Chace said

"I know," I replied

" So, what are you going to do? Are you going to reject her?" Chace asked, and I had him pinned up against the wall again.

"She is mine," I growled.

"Well, I guess your reaction says it all. There is no way you are going to reject her," Chace replied

My sister's voice came through the mind link. "Rosalina is your mate, isn't she?" Kelly asked

"Yes, she is," I linked back.

"You better not hurt her, or I will kick your ass," Kelly said. It shocked me that Kelly liked Rosalina. She had never liked any of the she-wolves I had dated in the past. It also made me happy that she seemed protective of her.

"I would never hurt her," I replied truthfully, and we ended the link. Deep in my heart, I knew I would never hurt my beautiful Mate.

"Rosalina, My Rose," I said out loud. Then I looked at Chace and saw him staring at me.

"Yep, you definitely got it bad. I am going to my room to get ready for the wedding. I will see you later," Chace said, and he walked out of the room.

I went to the bathroom to shower. I felt dirty from having sex with Ashley. I wanted to get her scent off me. Just thinking of all the things I did with Ashley and all those other she-wolves made me feel sick to my stomach. I felt ashamed of myself for not waiting for my Mate.

It was crazy because I always wanted Ashley to be my Mate. After all, she didn't mind how many women I slept with. I loved when we shared a woman or two. But just thinking about being with anyone else made me feel sick. Thinking about my Mate being with anyone else but me, male or female, made me angry. She was mine, and I was hers, and that was the way it was supposed to be.

Thinking about all of this made me remember how Rosalina saw me and Ashley. She knew what we were doing minutes before I locked eyes with her. My Mate was human and she didn't know anything about the mate bond. I was going to have to do this the human way. It was going to be hard but I would do anything to make Rosalina mine.

Rosalina's Point of View

"All done," Kelly said. I looked at the marrior and was shocked at how nice I looked. Kelly had done my hair and makeup and I was wearing a light blue dress that showed off my hour glass body. I never wore dresses or makeup. I didn't even know how to do my makeup. My mom always told me I would look better if I wore them.

"Thanks Kelly," I said

""You don't have to thank me, Lina. I think we are going to be the bestest of friends. Oh, my brother isn't going to be able to take his eyes off of you," Kelly said, causing me to frown.

"What do you mean?" I asked

"

"Um, nothing. We should go. I am sure your mom is waiting for you," Kelly said. For some reason I couldn't get my mind off Kane. He was the most handsome man I had ever seen. He had the most beautiful ocean blue eyes and an amazing muscular body. I still felt embarrassed that I couldn't take my eyes off him. It was like there was no one in the room except for Kane and me. That is, until that girl, Ashley walked over to him wearing his shirt. For some reason I felt a pain in my chest seeing them together and I had no right to. She was his girl friend, not me. When she touched him I wanted to push her away from him. It made no sense how I was feeling about him. I barely knew him. I knew I had to be going crazy.

"Kelly and I walked to the elevator and took it to the tenth floor. When the elevator door opened we were in a beautiful family room. I followed Kelly up the steps and to the end of the hallway to a bedroom. The door was already opened and we walked inside to see my mom sitting on a chair getting her makeup done. She already had on a white wedding dress.

"Oh, Sweetheart. You look beautiful," My mom said and then she looked at Kelly. "Thanks so much for helping her get ready," My mom said

"You don't have to thank me," Kelly replied

"Oh, yes I do," My mom said. I decided to ignore her comment.

"You look beautiful too, mom," I said. An older lady walked into the room and we all looked at her.

"It's time to start the wedding."
