Chapter 2
The call boy
Giselle's POV
My body thumped with desire as I continued to caress the stranger's body. It's been so long since I'd felt this way. A husky voice brought me out of my thoughts.
“Who are you?. I think you are in the wrong room,” The call boy said, holding me at arm's length. He peered at me with questioning eyes as he looked at my body suggestively.
I didn't respond to him. I slipped and my body pushed against him and we both fell on the bed.
“I'm so sorry. I must be really drunk,” I said giggling.
A handsome smile broke across his face making him look younger. Because of the way we both fell on the bed, his body was now on top of mine. His hands came up under my dress as I ran a hand through his hair. My loose bun came undone then and flowed lazily over my shoulders.
The call boy watched me keenly, his hands behind his head. “ You're the sexiest woman I've ever seen,” he said unabashedly, still caressing my thighs.
His compliment made me feel giddy with excitement. Jared had never called me pretty or sexy.
His hands were still caressing me under my dress and it kept going higher and higher making my heart jolt and my pulse pound. I had never felt like this before.
“I don't know who you are,” he said, licking his lips “but I'm ready to help you any way I can.” He leaned down and trailed kisses all over my body as desire bloomed inside of me. My nails dug into his skin as I leaned towards him. I leaned against him as he carried me to the large bed driving deeper inside of me.
We tumbled over the edge of ecstasy and released together. Exhausted, we both stretched out on the bed trying to catch our breaths.
“How was I?,” he grinned beside me.
“You were good,” I said drowsily, the exhaustion of the day finally weighing down on me.
My eyes grew heavy with sleep and I was about to drift off when his voice entered my mind.
“What's your name?
“Giselle,” I said before drifting off to sleep, vaguely aware of movements in the background.

I blinked awake, not moving as my body and legs ached with pain. I looked around at the unfamiliar room confused until the happenings of yesterday hit me like a brick wall. God what was I thinking?. I bit my lips in exasperation. The call boy was still beside me naked. A blush crept up my face as I remembered what had happened last night.
I slowly moved down from the bed, not wanting to wake him up. I don't think I could bear to see his face now that I'm sober and rational. I slid a pile of money under the drawers with a note that read, “Thanks for the night.”
I made sure no one was around before slipping into my room. The last thing I wanted was for anyone to know I'd just slept with a call boy. Sonia was already in my room waiting for me. As soon as I entered she rushed towards me and pulled me to the bed to sit.
“So tell me, how was he?,” she purred.
“Sonia, I don't have time for this. Have you seen my father today,” I asked impatiently.
She rolled her eyes at me before picking up the magazine she was reading.
“Your fiancé decided to drop the bombshell and told everyone at breakfast this morning that he was in love with some omega and he is calling off the wedding. Can you imagine?,” she sneered.
“I'm glad he told them so I don't have to do it myself. What about my father?. What did he say?”
“Your father was pissed. He's looking for you right now”
Shit, I cursed internally. Knowing my father I'm very sure he blames me for what Jared has done all though it wasn't even my fault.
I stood up to pick my phone from where I had placed it in my purse the previous night. I saw twenty unread messages and fifteen missed calls, most of them were from my father.
I heard some noises outside and my back stiffened thinking it was my father coming to meet me. Sonia stood up to take a look at what was happening and I followed behind her closely. The hotel manager and a couple of staff rushed past us looking disheveled.
“Do you think the commotion is happening because the wedding was called off,” I said solemnly.
“ I don't think so. I wonder if it's Alpha Cole. I heard he's staying here at the hotel for a few days”
“Alpha Cole. I thought he was away fighting a war in some far away place and wouldn't be back for a couple more years,” I said in surprise.
“That was what I thought too but I met a hot guy yesterday in the hotel lobby and he'd accidentally slip that he's Alpha Cole's beta. He said Alpha Cole is finally coming to take over the throne. See I even got a picture of him with me," Sonia said as she reached for her phone showing me the side profile of a large man. The picture was blurry so I couldn't really see the person well but for some reason he looked oddly familiar.
Sonia closed the door and I began to dig around for a change of clothes. I needed to read all the messages and see how much trouble I was in. I changed into red slacks and began to read the messages one by one. Many of them were hurtful messages from my father of the disgrace I had brought to my pack.
Anger fueled inside of me. How was any of it my fault? He was the one that cheated not me so why was I getting the brunt of the insults. I've never for once lacked in my duties as future Luna but yet it seemed my father would always find a reason to point out my faults. Why wasn't Jared being vilified?.
If he wanted Jared could have just taken her as a mistress but instead he decided to call off a marriage alliance that has been thoroughly planned between two packs and yet I was still the one to be blamed for it. It felt so unfair.
By the time I got to the last message I felt so numb and tired and all I just wanted was to go to sleep in my bed and forget about everything that had happened in the last twenty four hours. But first I needed to leave this hotel first. I put on a hat and some dark sunglasses bidding Sonia goodbye, I checked out of the hotel.
I passed the large reception hall that has been decorated to host my wedding party. My heart ached seeing the empty hall and so many hours of effort going to waste in the blink of an eye. Luckily I checked out of the hotel without running into anyone I know and went home with grief for what lay ahead.
