Chapter 4
“Hi, Rebecca,” a man said in a voice that sounded dismissive. Rebecca looked at him with an expression of displeasure, her heart filled with deep anxiety when she saw the man who had once been a part of her life. However, with a heart full of confidence, Rebecca looked at his face with a look that was no less cynical.
"What's wrong, Robert?" Rebecca replied in a curt tone, without giving the slightest warmth in her words.
Robert was seen laughing a little as if enjoying his satisfaction after hearing what Rebecca had said. Her ex-fiancé, who never changed his attitude, always found ways to insinuate and hurt her.
"I heard that you already have children without getting married, right?" said Robert in a sarcastic tone. This man seemed to be a source of gossip who never missed the news and knew everything that had happened in Rebecca's life.
Rebecca felt angry and hurt by Robert's words. But with a tough attitude, she suppressed her emotions and stared at him with an unstoppable cynical gaze.
"None of your business!" Rebecca answered firmly, her voice filled with courage and firmness. She emphasized that her life was her personal right and there was no room for Robert to interfere.
Robert frowned as if he didn't accept Rebecca's answer. He felt he had the right to interfere in his ex-fiancé's life.
"You're always like this, Rebecca. Always avoiding and not wanting to take responsibility for your own mistakes," said Robert in a blaming tone.
Rebecca felt her emotions running high. She felt no need to explain or account for herself to Robert. However, she chose to remain calm and control herself.
"You have no right to judge and judge my life, Robert. I have tried to move forward and live my life responsibly," said Rebecca in a calm voice but full of courage.
Robert was silent for a moment, perhaps contemplating Rebecca's words. However, his arrogant attitude did not change. He shrugged indifferently.
"Whatever you say, Rebecca. You will never be able to hide the fact that you made the wrong decision," Robert said in a condescending tone.
Rebecca took a deep breath. She didn't want to get caught up in an argument that would lead to nothing. She raised her chin confidently.
"I know what I did and I don't regret it. I will continue to move forward and prove that I can be a strong and successful mother," said Rebecca firmly.
Robert looked at Rebecca with a sinister smile on his face. He deliberately provoked Rebecca with his hateful questions.
“Without a husband? Oh, yes, maybe you forgot who the father of your children is, right?" Robert asked in a condescending tone. These words immediately made Rebecca feel angry and annoyed. Her hands gripped tightly, as if she wanted to slap Robert's sadistic mouth which never stopped hurting her feelings.
With a gaze full of anger, Rebecca answered with a voice that trembled with overflowing emotions. “Listen, Robert! You're just a man with a mouth like a tin can and you don't know anything about my life and my children. So, watch your words!" Her voice was firm but there was a deep layer of pain.
Rebecca hoped that after saying that, Robert would fall silent and not be able to say anything else. However, in fact, Robert was getting hotter and wanted to make Rebecca even angrier. He felt happy seeing Rebecca cornered and unable to escape from her fight.
"God damn it! An ugly woman like you, pretends to call me like that!" said Robert with increasing anger. His jaw tightened, showing how annoyed he was with Rebecca. And unfortunately, there wasn't a single taxi that passed around them. Rebecca feels trapped and has no choice but to serve this unknown man.
"I'm so grateful that I'm not engaged to a man like you. In fact, higher education doesn't make you wiser in your words!" Rebecca was simply cynical.
Shortly after, a taxi stopped right in front of her offering her an escape from her unpleasant situation. Without waiting any longer, Rebecca took steady steps into the taxi, leaving Robert, who was fuming with explosive anger. She chose not to be affected by the man's anger because she knew that her decision to leave was the best for her.
"Yeah, at least I didn't see how angry Robert was, like an insane person," muttered Rebecca as she breathed a sigh of relief. She glanced behind her and vaguely saw Robert's face which was red.
Meanwhile, Robert felt annoyed and angry seeing Rebecca who quickly left him without any explanation. The man was dissatisfied with the way Rebecca insulted him and simply ignored him.
With a face radiating anger, Robert looked at Rebecca who was walking away with steady steps. The burning feeling of disappointment and anger made him unable to stop himself from throwing out hateful words.
"Just watch, Rebecca!" he shouted in a voice full of hatred. "If we meet again, I will insult and hurt you with the harshest words! I will make you feel pain so deep that you will regret insulting me!"
Robert's words, full of anger and hatred, attracted the attention of several motorists passing nearby. They looked at him with a mixture of astonishment and worry, not understanding what made the man so angry and malicious towards a woman who seemed to have done nothing.
Rebecca's departure from her home pierced Thomas' heart with deep worry. His feelings suddenly filled with anxiety when he saw Rebecca reject his offer to take him to the office. In fact, in his mind, going together would be more comfortable and fun.
Silently, Thomas took his car keys carefully, trying not to let Rebecca suspect his plans. Every movement is executed with extra caution. He gently took the car out.
Arriving at a crossroads, Rebecca stopped to look for a taxi that would take her to her office. Seeing that, Thomas immediately stopped the car from a distance. With great attention, he looked at Rebecca who seemed to be busy looking for a vehicle. Suddenly, a pitch-black car drove up to him.
Thomas was silent, his eyes fixed on the car without any confusion showing on his face. There was power in his gaze as if he knew what would happen next.
Slowly, the car door opened, creating an irresistible invitation to enter. In the silence that hung in the air, Thomas remained silent, his eyes staring with unwavering intensity. However, not long after that, Robert's figure appeared, bringing with him the sounds of chaos that filled the air.
Thomas chose to remain silent, letting the war rage even though he was not nearby. However, the chatter and insults that came from their mouths pierced his ears with undeniable force. Inwardly, Thomas sighed, contemplating the current situation.
"Let them deal with their own problems," Thomas monologues in a low voice. He believes that Rebecca has the strength and tenacity to face her own problems.
Several minutes passed, and Rebecca managed to escape from Robert with a burning face. The annoyed expression on his face made Thomas unable to suppress the soft laugh that escaped his lips.
After that, Thomas started the car engine again and continued his journey to follow Rebecca. However, when he passed Robert, suddenly a large bottle was thrown at him. Thomas quickly dodged, but the bottle released a jet of water that hit Robert squarely.
With a smile of happiness, Thomas did it on purpose, and the results were satisfying. The water spray hit Robert's clothes and face, making him soaked. Thomas couldn't help but chuckle at the sight, saying, "Have another shower."
Meanwhile, Robert, who was soaking wet, stared at the car with mounting annoyance. Several times he cursed angrily, "You damn car!"
Thomas continued his journey feeling happy after succeeding in taking revenge on Robert. Even though he could still hear curses and annoyance from Robert, Thomas didn't pay much attention to it. He felt satisfied with his successful act of revenge.
Meanwhile, Rebecca continued to drive fast, trying to get away from Robert's pursuit. Her heart was still pounding, but she felt relieved because she had escaped Robert's clutches. She hoped to find a safe place to hide and calm down.
In the car, Thomas felt closer to Rebecca. Every second that passed brought them closer to each other. He couldn't wait to meet Rebecca and share stories about their journey.
Meanwhile, Robert, who was still soaking wet and frustrated, felt his anger burning even more. He vows to chase Rebecca and Thomas to the ends of the earth if necessary. Nothing can stop him in his quest for revenge.
With burning enthusiasm, Thomas continued his journey at high speed. He felt like he was in an exciting action movie. Every bend and road it takes gives an exciting sensation.

Meanwhile, on her way to her office, Rebecca didn't realize that Thomas had been following her behind. In the exciting world of her cell phone, Rebecca enjoys spending her time without ever looking back. Now and then, she laughs at the ridiculous behavior circulating on her social media, without realizing that Thomas is watching her every move.
Meanwhile, Thomas carefully watches Rebecca's car, trying not to be too obvious. He is accompanied by Hana, his sister who has telepathic abilities. Through their inner communication, Hana asked in a firm voice, "Where are you?"
Thomas answered in a firm tone, "We're on the road. Don't you feel the sound of the wind that accompanies this journey?"
They both uniquely communicate with each other, using their telepathic powers. Even though they are far apart, they are still connected and can talk without having to make a sound. Hana's presence gives Thomas strength and support in pursuing Rebecca, making him more confident in the steps he takes.
Hana felt the nervousness in Thomas' voice. She could feel how obsessed Thomas was with Rebecca and how much she wanted to win her heart. Gently, Hana sent positive and encouraging thoughts to Thomas.
"Just be patient, Thomas. You have the time and opportunity to approach her. Don't rush, let everything happen naturally," said Hana gently.
Thomas felt relieved hearing Hana's words. He knew that his best friend was always there for him, providing the support and advice he needed. In his heart, Thomas promised to remain calm and not be too hasty.
"Thank you, Hana. I am very lucky to have a friend like you," said Thomas sincerely.
Hana smiled at their inner communication. She feels happy to be able to help Thomas in his struggle to win Rebecca's love. In her heart, Hana hopes that everything goes smoothly and Thomas can get what she wants.
Rebecca is still engrossed in her world full of social media. She didn't realize how much Thomas was captivated by her. However, in the silence of the journey to the office, there was a strange feeling that tickled Rebecca's heart. He felt that there was an unusual energy haunting the journey, but he couldn't identify it.
Meanwhile, Thomas and Hana continued to communicate in silence. They provide support and encouragement to each other. Hana tried to calm Thomas who was increasingly anxious, while Thomas tried to maintain his self-confidence.
“Thomas, I know you're nervous, but don't let anxiety get the best of you. Believe in yourself and in the feelings you have for Rebecca," said Hana
“I'm trying, Hana, but it's getting harder. Every time I see Rebecca, my heart races.”
“You can do it, Thomas. Remember that you are a brave and sincere man. Believe in yourself and let your heart speak. Don't let fear hinder your steps," explained Hana.
“Thank you, Hannah. Your support means a lot to me but, I don't know whether to love her or not?” Thomas said.
“You deserve love and happiness, Thomas. I will always be here for you, supporting you throughout this journey. However, how can you not know about your own feelings?” Hana asked, confused.
Meanwhile, Rebecca still felt a strange feeling tingling in her heart. She became increasingly convinced that something unusual was happening. However, she still tried to ignore that feeling and focused on her cell phone.
“Something went wrong. It felt like someone was watching me. Am I just imagining things?” Rebecca thought.
Meanwhile, Thomas and Hana are getting closer to the office. They encourage each other, calm, and raise self-confidence.
Their journey got closer to the office, and the tension became more pronounced. However, Thomas and Hana remain optimistic and ready to face whatever will happen. They were both sure that an unforgettable moment would come soon.
With a pounding heart, Rebecca continued the journey to the office which seemed to be getting longer. Every step she took felt heavy as if weights were binding her feet. Even though she tried to ignore the unease that was creeping up inside her, the strange energy haunting the trip was getting stronger and harder to ignore.
Meanwhile, Thomas was relieved to see Rebecca finally arrive at her office. A faint smile appeared on her face when she saw her walk in with sturdy steps. She hopes that Rebecca can find peace and happiness at work, even though she still feels disappointment haunting her heart.
However, Thomas didn't stop there. He turned around and walked towards his own company with steady steps. Even though his heart felt a little hurt, he refused to drown in sadness. He chooses to remain optimistic and focus on his work which demands his full attention. He realizes that he has many responsibilities to complete and does not want to let his feelings interfere with his concentration and performance.
