CHAPTER 3: New Beginnings

"Miss Avery," Gabriel said, turning to the young woman dressed as a maid. His voice held a commanding tone as he addressed her. "Please ensure that Miss Daisy is well taken care of. Show her to her bedroom and arrange for a fresh bath to be prepared."

Avery nodded respectfully, her eyes displaying a mix of deference and determination. "Of course, Alpha Gabriel. I will see to it immediately."

With Gabriel's directive, Avery stepped forward, graceful and purposeful. She gestured for me to follow as she began leading the way through the magnificent halls of the castle.

As we walked, Avery's presence radiated a sense of quiet professionalism. Her demeanour exuded a deep respect for her duties, and yet there was an underlying warmth that made her seem approachable.

The castle's grandeur was both awe-inspiring and overwhelming, but Avery's guidance provided a sense of comfort amidst the unfamiliarity. Each step we took brought us closer to my new bedroom, a sanctuary where I could begin to gather my thoughts and adapt to this new life.

Finally, we reached a heavy wooden door at the end of a lavishly decorated corridor. Avery turned to face me, a polite smile gracing her features. "This will be your room during your stay here, Miss Daisy. I trust it will meet your needs."

I took a moment to absorb the sight before me. The room was tastefully decorated with elegant tapestries adorning the walls, casting a warm and inviting ambience. A large four-poster bed dominated the space, promising nights of comfortable rest. Soft moonlight filtered through the window, casting a gentle glow across the room.

With a nod of appreciation, I turned towards Avery. "Thank you, Miss Avery. I appreciate your assistance."

Avery's smile deepened, and there was a spark of genuine warmth in her eyes. "You're most welcome, Miss Daisy. If you require anything else, please don't hesitate to ask. I must ensure your comfort and well-being within the pack."

Her words offered a glimmer of reassurance amidst the uncertainty that lay ahead. It was comforting to know that there were individuals within the pack who genuinely cared about the welfare of others. She ran me a relaxing bubble bath before exiting, leaving me to settle into my new surroundings; I reflected on the events that had led me here. Though the circumstances were far from ideal, I couldn't deny the strength and resilience that had begun to bloom within me.

The weight of the day seemed to melt away as I sank into the warm, inviting embrace of the bathwater. The scent of lavender filled the air, its soothing aroma dancing around me, enveloping me in a cocoon of tranquillity. It was a moment of respite, a chance to escape the relentless pressures that had plagued me since my arrival at the castle.

The water embraced me, washing away the lingering anxieties and uncertainty that clung to my spirit. The tension in my shoulders began to ease, and a contented sigh escaped my lips. With each passing moment, I could feel the knots in my muscles unravelling, replaced by a gentle serenity that washed over me like a cool breeze on a warm summer's day.

Relishing in the tranquillity, I closed my eyes, allowing my mind to drift away to a place where worries were nonexistent. In the depths of my mind, I envisioned Ethan, his radiant smile bringing a familiar warmth to my heart. It felt like he was reaching out to me across the ethereal realm of dreams, whispering promises of love and solace.

Eventually, reluctantly, I peeled myself away from the comforting embrace of the bathwater, wrapping myself in a plush, fluffy towel. Droplets of water fell from my skin, tracing a path along the contours of my body, leaving a faint shimmering trail in their wake.

As I entered the bedroom, a sudden stillness engulfed the room. My eyes widened as I caught sight of Gabriel sitting on the edge of the bed, his robust frame illuminated by the soft glow of the bedside lamp. He was shirtless, his chiselled chest adorned by intricate tribal tattoos that danced across his skin.

Heat rushed to my cheeks as I instinctively averted my gaze, feeling embarrassment and intrigue. Gabriel exuded a raw magnetism, an alluring presence that made it impossible to ignore him.

"I apologise if I startled you," Gabriel's voice broke the silence, his tone laced with amusement. "I didn't mean to intrude. I was waiting for you to finish your bath."

I mustered up the courage to meet his gaze, my eyes lingering on his sculpted physique before flickering to meet his intense, dark eyes. The air between us felt charged with an undeniable tension as if time had momentarily paused to take in the magnetic energy of our brief interaction.

"No need to apologise," I replied, my voice betraying a hint of nerves. "I... I appreciate you waiting. It's been a long day, and a hot bath was just what I needed."

Gabriel stood up, his gaze never leaving mine, and approached with a slow, deliberate stride. The room seemed to shrink in his presence, his aura filling the space between us.

"I hope you found solace in your bath," he spoke softly, his voice carrying a weight of sincerity. "The days ahead will be challenging, but it's important to find moments of peace amidst the chaos."

Despite the flicker of unease within me, there was a strange sense of comfort in his words. It was as if he understood the turmoil I had been through, recognising the need for inner strength amidst the upcoming trials.

As Gabriel approached me with a warm smile, I couldn't help but feel a flicker of excitement in my chest. Something about him made me want to know more, to delve into the depths of his character and unravel the stories behind those captivating eyes.

“Daisy, I want to kiss you,” he whispered, and I wanted him to kiss me too. I didn’t know what came over me but the minute our lips met; I felt a bolt of electricity rush through my body. An undeniable urge to have him feel every inch of his body. Something inside of me had snapped, making me want this man. I had never felt this with Ethan, but I couldn't stop myself. As his hands explored my body and we kept kissing, he picked me up and placed me on the bed. “I want you so badly,” he said through kisses as I wrapped my legs around him. The towel I had wrapped around my body fell to the floor, revealing my naked body. He picked me up and placed me on the bed, straddling me as we kissed, and he began kissing down my neck. Before I knew it, he was sliding his huge erect cock inside me, and I gasped with pleasure at the feel of him. Clinging to his neck as he gently thrust deeper inside me, he cupped my breasts and sucked hard on my nipples, causing me to moan loudly as my whole body erupted in pleasure.

“Daisy, I want to cum.” he said with a rush of excitement in his tone.

“Yes, Gabriel. Come deep inside me I want you.” I wrapped my legs tighter around him as we both reached the peak of our orgasm.

Once we had finished, we lay breathless on the sheets of the now messy bed. It suddenly dawned on me that I had lost my virginity to this man. Something had made me want him, but now I felt sick. What had I done? The man next to me should be Ethan.

Just as the air between us crackled with an undercurrent of something unspoken, a knock on the door interrupted the moment. Gabriel's attention shifted, his eyes flickering towards the entrance.

Avery, dressed in her maid attire, stood at the threshold, her gaze respectfully lowered. "Apologies for the interruption, Alpha Gabriel. Dinner is ready, and the pack awaits your presence."

Gabriel's gaze fixed on Avery, his expression becoming more focused. "Thank you, Miss Avery. Please inform the pack that we will be there shortly."

Avery nodded and quickly retreated, closing the door behind her. It was as if the spell we had momentarily fallen under had been broken, leaving a lingering tension in the air.

“Alpha Gabriel.” I began today, but Gabriel turned back to me, a contemplative expression crossing his face. "We will have time to talk more later, Daisy. But for now, we must join the pack. They need us."
