CHAPTER 4: Escape

It had been three agonising months since I was forcefully taken to this unfamiliar place. Although the surroundings held a captivating beauty with its lush green scenery, it was far from being my true home. The anxiety for my family weighed heavily on my heart. I couldn't bear the thought of my Ethan, believing that I had willingly abandoned him on our wedding day. Our love was undeniable, and those who knew us understood that we were soulmates destined to be together.

"Daisy, the Alpha Gabriel requests your presence today for a trip out to his yacht," Avery, the chief of his omegas, approached me with a polite tone. I sighed, feeling a mix of disdain towards Gabriel's obsession with me and a glimmer of hope that I could use this opportunity to convince him to let me go home. Reluctantly, I agreed, knowing that escaping this island and its twisted community was my only hope.

As I left the room I had been sharing with Alpha Gabriel, I could not help but wonder what my life would be like if I had never been chosen for this role.

As soon as I exited the grand house, I instantly caught sight of the alpha's yacht on the docks. The luxurious vessel loomed before me, shimmering brilliantly under the sunlight. A pang of anxiety washed over me as I stepped aboard, uncertain of what awaited me. Gabriel was there already, and he greeted me with a smile, guiding me to a seat. I tried to maintain composure as we set sail, but his constant, intense gaze made me uneasy.

“Alpha Gabriel, you requested my presence,” I said, trying to fill the awkward silence.

“I did indeed. And I wanted to show you the beautiful sunset over the horizon. You look magnificent tonight.” he said, licking his lips.

Just then, An idea formed in my mind, and I felt excitement burn within me as I smiled across at Gabriel. Taking his hands into mine, he looked surprised but smiled at me happily.

“I’m so glad that we get to spend some quality time together. I've been finding it hard to keep my hands off you.” I bit my bottom lip seductively and ran a finger down his bare arm.

“That first night we slept together, I've wanted to feel you deep inside me again and again,” I whispered across the table to him as I started to rub my foot up his leg. I could tell that he was getting turned on by my actions.

“Meet me in the bedroom.” he said.

As I lay on the luxurious bed in the cabin of Gabriel's yacht, contemplating my next move, my mind raced with thoughts of Ethan and my family back home. I yearned to be in their embrace once again, to feel the warmth and security that only they could provide. But here I was, trapped in this opulent prison with Gabriel, a man who held power and influence over me.

I knew that if I wanted to escape and return to my Ethan, I needed to use all the tools at my disposal. And so, I devised a plan to seduce Gabriel, to manipulate him into becoming a catalyst for my freedom.

"Alpha Gabriel," I confessed as soon as he entered the room, "I believe I'm falling in love with you. Feeling secure in your embrace and envisioning a future where I carry your child is all I desire."

He responded with a self-assured grin, "My dear Daisy, I can understand why. Being the most powerful and handsome man in the world, I'm accustomed to women being drawn to me. However, your admission still catches me off guard. Would you be willing to show me the depth of your feelings?"

As he gently settled onto the bed, I couldn't help but smile, rising from my seat and making my way towards him.

I took a deep breath, masking my true feelings behind a facade of contentment. It pained me to see the way he regarded me with his smug smile, his eyes glinting with a self-satisfied confidence. But I knew that if I wanted to reclaim my freedom, I had to play along, even if it meant pretending to be happy.

His grip on my arm tightened as he pulled me closer, his touch sending shivers down my spine. I swallowed the bile rising in my throat, forcing myself to respond to his advances. Every fiber of my being screamed for escape, for liberation from this toxic relationship.

“Alpha Gabriel, May I request that we dock the yacht and we can carry on this properly?”

Curiosity sparked within Gabriel's eyes as he carefully listened to her words. "What is it, Daisy? Speak."

Lowering my gaze, I spoke with a hint of desperation, "I know I have been a burden to you, and I can't bear to see the disappointment in your eyes any longer. So, I beg of you, let's dock the yacht and continue our conversation on land, where I can prove my gratitude properly and we can get a bite to eat?”

A flicker of surprise crossed Gabriel's face at my unexpected proposal. The idea of a change of scenery seemed to resonate with him, stirring a desire for a different approach. Perhaps, he thought, this new setting would help reaffirm his authority over me.

"Very well," he grudgingly agreed, captivated by my vulnerability. "We shall dock the yacht." he turned to mindlink his sailor and a few moments later we were getting off the yacht.

With my trick successfully executed, I concealed my elation behind a mask of submission as I secretly relished the prospect of gaining more control over my own fate. I knew that once we were ashore, my chances of escaping would multiply.

Little did Gabriel know that he had inadvertently given me the advantage I needed to carry out my plan and finally break free from his grasp.

"Maybe we could grab a bite to eat. I've been craving my all-time favorite, fish and chips," I suggested to Alpha Gabriel, and his face lit up with excitement, willing to fulfill my sudden craving. I felt the sharp pocket knife in the depth of my pocket.

As soon as he turned his head and stepped into the inviting shop, a spark of determination ignited within me. Without a second thought, I swiftly spun on my heel and broke into a sprint. My legs propelled me forward, carrying me as fast as they possibly could. In that moment, I knew I couldn't afford to glance back.

“Where do you think you are going?” he grabbed hold of my hands and yanked me into an empty courtyard. I wanted to scream for help but he put his hand over my mouth miffling my attempts to make any sound.

Reaching in my pockets for the knife, I pullednmh hand up and sliced his hand causing him to shriek in pain as blood spurted all over him and me.

“What have you done?” he growled furiously.

“Let me go or I will slice you more.” I shoved him away with all my might and I ran until I saw a double decker bus about to leave. As the doors closed behind me I breathed a sigh of relief. This was it. I was getting my freedom back.

Next stop was Ethan!
