Chapter 3

RARITY ARMOR

I shook my head defiantly, summoning every ounce of courage, and spoke in a princess-like tone, refusing to accept such humiliation. "No! I do not accept this. I will tell everyone in the kingdom that both of you want to make me a maid!" My words came out with a determination that surprised even myself.

The shock was evident on their faces, they had not expected a young girl like me to speak with such bravery and defiance. Despite their laughter, I stood my ground, refusing to back down.

Drew Armor chimed in, trying to assert their dominance, "Listen to me, you have no choice. The entire kingdom and pack already hate you. When we said 'secret,' we meant other kingdoms. But we could kill you now and tell them our little sister got killed!" His words were dark and threatening, sending a shiver down my spine.

I stepped back, my heart pounding with fear, retreating to the corner of the room. The reality of their threat hit me like a tidal wave. They held all the power, and I felt utterly helpless and trapped. They could end my life, and no one would dare question them.

Tears welled up in my eyes as I realized the depth of their cruelty. My own brothers, blood-related or not, were capable of such wickedness. The world I once knew had crumbled before my eyes, replaced by a nightmarish reality where my own flesh and blood wanted to destroy me.

In that moment of vulnerability, I felt the weight of their words crushing me, suffocating me with the knowledge that I was at their mercy. I had no one to turn to, no one to protect me from the darkness that enveloped me.

They both approached me and patted my head, but I despised their touch. I could not stand them; I loathed them so deeply.

Feeling disgusted, Drake leaned in close to my ear and said, "Now go down to the maids to get your new room."

I was filled with terror, almost frozen in my spot. I was so young, and now I had lost my father, my protector.

My instinct was to run downstairs and seek help from any of the ministers or my father's closest friends to protect me. But fear held me back.

They had threatened not to touch me until I turned 18, but the very idea of going from being a princess to just a maid filled me with heartbreak and despair.

I rushed downstairs, my tears streaming down my cheeks like rain. I could barely see through my blurred vision, not knowing whether I was crying over the loss of my father or because of the cruel words my elder brothers had spoken.

Both.

My heart ached, and I longed for someone to come and save me. I was just a young child, still playing with my dolls, yet burdened with a heavy reality that no child should endure.

I stumbled on the stairs, screaming for anyone to help me, my pleas echoing through the castle. I repeated my desperate cries over and over, hoping for a savior to come to my rescue.

Finally, a hand reached out to help me stand up. I looked up to find my father's best friend, Alpha William. I clung to him, my small frame almost reaching his waist. "Thank God, please help me. They want me to work as a maid and serve them, and..." I spoke rapidly, trying to convey the urgency of my situation.

But my hope was shattered when he cut me off, his brows furrowing in anger. I thought he was furious with my brothers and would do something to protect me. But my dreams were crushed as he kicked me with his strong legs, knocking me back to the floor.

His words were like daggers to my heart. "How could you dare to insult the princes of our pack?! You are nothing! Abandoned by your real parents. No one wants you here. You should be thankful that our princes allow you to stay in the same castle and in our kingdom. If I were in their shoes, I would just throw you away and cast you out of here."

The pain of his words cut deep, and I felt utterly rejected and abandoned. My heartache only intensified, and I felt like a tiny, helpless soul lost in a sea of darkness.

I shrank, my entire body trembling under his intense, bloody-red gaze, as he hollered at me mercilessly. I could not understand what I had done to deserve such treatment. I had not hurt anyone; I was just an innocent girl, always playing around and trying to find joy in the castle.

Silent and broken, I remained on the floor, searching desperately for help, only to see the maids smirking and gossiping, finding amusement in my misery. Their laughter filled the castle, a stark reminder that I was alone and abandoned.

I clung to the hope that someone would come to my rescue, that someday, as my father, the king, had once told me, my mate would find me, and I would become the queen of all the alpha kings. But back then, such words held no meaning for me. The concept of a mate, a husband, and a king was beyond my comprehension; it seemed like distant fairy tales.

Lost in depression and despair, I dragged my feet, my eyes filled with brokenness. I approached one of the maids, mustering whatever strength I had left. "So... I need a room," I managed to say, my voice empty of any emotion.

With a commanding tone, she blurted out a cruel response, "A room? Just go back and sleep on the kitchen floor. I will send you a uniform for you to use. Do not think that you will be spoiled anymore. And at night... you will take a shower and go to the rooms of Prince Drake Armor and Prince Drew to serve them."

Her words were like daggers, piercing through my already wounded heart. I was reduced to nothing more than a servant, a maid, at the mercy of those who showed no compassion or empathy.

The weight of their cruelty was suffocating, and I felt like a caged bird, yearning to be free from this nightmarish existence.

Please, Moon Goddess, have mercy on me. I beg.
