Chapter 2

Zara's POV

When I was about to rush into my office. I found Ismaya passing by me. She looked panicked and reprimanded me for not coming earlier. I wondered why she was so panicked. Maybe because of the long queue of patients.

"Why did you just come?"

"What's wrong?"

"Come on, go to the director's office immediately! He's been waiting for you, Zara. I've been trying to call you but why didn't you pick up?"

"Oh yeah? Sorry, I haven't had time to open my phone."

"Yes, forget it, meet the director in his office immediately before you get hit by his wrath!"

"Okay, I'll be there soon. Thank you for the information Ismaya."

"Yes."

I just walked away, leaving Ismaya, and immediately approached the director of this hospital in his office. Hoping that everything would be safe and I wouldn't get hit by his anger. But that was impossible. Even though the director is known to be strict and a perfectionist. But he was quite nice to me, even though I was often trusted to complete work related to big things and cases in this hospital. So I hope his view doesn't change towards me because I didn't come early today. Where considering the conditions in this hospital seems urgent and very critical.

The door to his office was open. Several obstetricians and a team of analysts were seen gathered here. It seemed like there was a briefing. Suddenly Ismaya surprised me from behind.

Patting my shoulder.

"Hey, you."

Everyone was disturbed by our arrival right in front of the door of this room. Turning to us who were still standing.

"Come in!" Said the director.

While swallowing saliva, Ismaya and I immediately went inside and started joining the others here.

Then the director continued his conversation which was interrupted because he saw the presence of the two of us. In this room, it turned out that there was also the Minister of Health and several staff from the health service. It seemed very urgent and pressing. To the point that everyone was mobilized to go directly into the field.

I began to understand the flow of what was happening. Absorbing the instructions from the speaker. Now I started to have a more challenging double job. In addition to being tasked with examining patients, I was also assigned to be involved in the world of research related to this major phenomenon that was happening and was global. I took part in it and became the heart of this scientific analysis.

"How about you, Doctor Zara? Are you ready to be the leader of this research?" The director asked me in front of many people here filling the room. All eyes were automatically on me, and I hoped that the right answer would come out of my mouth.

However, I was hesitant at first because this was a big thing and a job with a very high burden. Because this concerns more complex health and is related to the survival of humanity in producing the next generation, I became very hesitant in making decisions this time. With feelings that were shaking, I finally started to answer even though I asked a question first. Making everyone present even more curious about what would happen next.

"Will I be given time to think?"

"Um, sorry, Doctor Zara, we don't have much time to wait. This is very urgent." said The Director.

"Yes, that's right Doctor Zara, we must respond quickly in completing the investigation of this problem. Because this concerns lives and if left unchecked it will have very fatal consequences." said the Minister of Health.

"Um, okay."

"So how?" He pressed me again to ensure my ability to be the chief analyst.

"Hmm... Okay, I'm ready." Naively and impulsively, I suddenly agreed.

"Good then, if Doctor Zara is ready to be the leader in research and handling of this rare phenomenon, then Doctor Zara will be accompanied by the chief analyst.”

"Ready."

"Later, we will hold an internal meeting between all ob-gyn doctors and the laboratory department."

Everyone agreed, and after this, we were invited to treat the patient first. I immediately entered the examination room because there were already many young patients queuing in the waiting room. They looked different and looked dull. I started asking about the symptoms they experienced for the first time until it happened like this. On average, their answers were almost the same. Even though looking at the history of their parents, no gene experienced what they are experiencing now, namely early menopause. I also asked about their diet and the food they consume. Maybe there is an error in their diet or substances contained in the food they eat.

But I also didn't find any strange oddities in their diet and the food they consume daily or periodically. I also traced it to other lifestyles. Maybe other factors influence this event to occur. I tried to examine their sleep patterns but their sleep patterns were relatively normal and did not burden the reason for their early menopause. This really makes me wonder, could it be that they used contraception early? But so far, many who do not use contraception also experience changes in the level and amount of menstruation until they finally go through menopause. I find it hard to believe that there is a phenomenon of early menopause.

This really confuses me and I feel like I have to find an answer to my curiosity immediately. There is a void in my mind that must be used as the background of the problem. I hope I will be able to become an expert leader in the analysis process later. I also have to find related sources of information from many references, including from journalists who are busy wandering around looking for data and facts in the field about people who experience early menopause. After I finished undergoing several examinations by only interrogating the symptoms my patients experienced. I immediately took a break because it felt tiring.

I took a small glass and walked over to the refrigerator to pour water from the bottle inside. I felt my thirst was really drained today. I was almost dehydrated because the queue never stopped. Until finally the clock showed sixteen in the afternoon. Where my practice schedule was finished. Although actually one hour more than it should have finished and closed at fifteen in the afternoon. But because the situation was like this, it was finally conditional.

Even so, it was still limited because I needed to rest too. Because I have to stay fit in carrying out this big task. Must be responsible for all the burdens that are placed on me. I have to put extra focus and concentration. Suddenly I remembered the schedule that had been agreed upon earlier. I have to hold another meeting with the director, the ob-gyn doctors, and the analysts from the laboratory.
