Chapter 2: The perfect date

ELLEN EVANS

Prince Sebastian's caramel blond head snapped up from the table at me and his sensuous lips parted in a lovely smile when I arrived at our reservation.

He got to his feet, watching me with a slight frown on his face as I took forever to get to his table.

Why did I think I could do this?

My eyes dropped on the table, there was a bottle of wine on it and he had been drinking. I glanced at Dante, the waiter to see a crooked smile on his lips.

Dante must've been Elena's arrangement, he had to be who Elena meant when she said she had everything under control?

Dante pulled out a seat for me, poured me a drink, and disappeared to bring our order.

Sebastian sat with his gaze searching my face and his eyes inscrutable. This unnerved me. I wanted to backpedal and leave before it was too late.

"Lovely evening." I broke the silence.

"You look perfect tonight ,"

My face lit up in a graceful smile. I took the first sip of my wine gawking at him from the rim of my wine glass. My heart constricted at the thought he wasn't mine. Tonight was just a charade.

"The elders insist we get married on the next full moon," his gaze searched mine.

"Why wait that long?" I said the first thing that came into my mind.

He leaned closer and lightly trailed my jaws, "Exactly, such a long time to wait."

I gulped. The conversation was beginning to steer off to a more heated angle. His proximity, ensnaring eyes, and full lips made it even harder to breathe.

He cupped my chin and tilted my head up so our eyes could meet. His smiles held me transfixed to the seat.

"You've no idea how long I've waited for you, Ellen."

Ellen?

My jaw trembled with fear making it hard to speak. My fingers grew icy.

"Elle... Ellen, err... She's my sister." I spluttered, "I am..."

"Elena. Ah! Pardon," he took my hand to his lips, "The names confuse me."

Where exactly was the confusion? Elena and I were two different individuals although with the same face. People made this mistake all the time and if I said I was cool with it then I'd be lying. Goddess blessed this was an honest mistake.

My mind and soul chose not to think about such things tonight. Just as Elena instructed, I wanted to sit still and enjoy the night.

His fingers trailed my jawlines to the corner of my lips, lingering and hovering, "You remember our agreement for tonight right?" The lust in his smoldering eyes was a great reminder of what I was about to do.

I nodded. How long before we had this done and over with so I could breathe properly?

"You don't have to be nervous." He mumbled, "You were comfortable with me earlier." He brushed his thumb across my lips.

I never knew Sebastian to be this nice. His commanding tone was soft and his Prince's aura was absent in the air. He was willing to make this work with me. With Elena.

Dante wheeled in our meals. His hand dropped from my face and he maintained a straight posture in his seat.

While Dante worked on the oysters, I found the time to sneak Elena a few messages, reporting progress. But no reply came from her. She must've gone off to sleep.

"Did you bring it?" He asked when Dante left us to enjoy our meals.

Bring what?

My blank gaze settled on his face. I couldn't ask the question in my head.

"You remember our agreement for the night right?"

Other than flirting and having sex with him Elena didn't inform me of anything else.

I gazed at his hard jaws in riddles.

"Zedd tells me you paint?" I instantly and brilliantly changed the subject.

His eyes bored into mine and there was a minute of confusion and curiosity on his lips.

"Zedd?"

Yeah. I used to ask Zedd about him the second Zedd got closer to him on more personal grounds. I made no mistakes when my brother spoke of the Prince's artworks.

The confusion on his face unnerved me.

"My apologies, Prince," I stuttered with my head down and my gaze on the napkin wrapped around my fingers.

He dropped his fork and leaned into me again. He tilted me so he could meet my eyes.

"It was just yesterday." He eyes me tactfully, "You couldn't have forgotten it."

"Can I use the bathroom?"

I didn't wait for a response. I bolted to the bathroom with my purse.

An inexplicable emotion glinted in his eyes. Why did he look so displeased with the thoughts of me finding out he painted?

I masked my scent all over again and called Elena. Her phone was switched off. Splendid.

I couldn't wait around in the bathroom anymore so I returned to the table. My teeth practically chattered.

"I'm sorry about that." I flashed him an uneasy grin as I sat back in my seat.

"You said you were going to draw an orchid..." He met my blank gaze and added yesterday when you saw my paintings." A sly smile formed on his lips.

Elena failed to mention that.

"I remember," I nervously looked away. "I'm just being so overwhelmed right now..."

He leaned in and brushed a soft kiss on my lips which wrought havoc on my entire frame sending jolts of heat to the right places.

He poured us some more wine chuckling at my flushed face.

"You are going to make the most perfect Luna!" He handed me a glass of wine.

The night went by quickly, I passed on dessert which Sebastian was cool with. He led me out of the restaurant through the private exit and stopped before his parked car in the dimly lit underground parking lot. His large palms finally release my trembling fingers holding an extremely unholy proximity.

"I had a lovely evening," I said in courtesy.

I lied. This evening was the most daring night of my life.

He nodded and pulled me way closer to himself with his arms wrapped around my waist. He arched to match my height.

"You make everything lovely, Elena."

His lips hovered just an inch from mine, his smoldering gaze snagged mine as though searching for reasons to close the gap.

His lips trailed my jaw to kiss lightly my ears as he whispered, "Or would you rather wait until our wedding night?"

That was a more enticing option which tempted me to harp on it and bail tonight until I was mentally prepared for this sin against the Prince, myself, and the moon goddess.

However, it was a risk. A lot could happen within those four weeks. My mate could pop out of nowhere a pleasant reason to say no to this foolhardiness but Elena?

His lips ravenously assailed mine, wiping every hesitation from my head and feeling it with the desire to take more of him, to intoxicate my lungs with more of his sandalwood.

In the pit of my soul, I vaguely knew it was either tonight or never.

I came this far just to give it up.

His wandering hands traveled my body like he'd been dying to touch me. His lips possessively assailed mine exploring every bit of it, taking, tasting, and teasing my tongue.

His ensnaring scent, and arousal brought me damn near edge. His sensuous lips broke from mine only to trail the crook of my neck to linger above my quickened pulses.

A moan fired my parted lips, my fingers fisted on his toned arm, with my knees buckled from the sweet havoc his lips wrecked on me.

This was what tonight was about. This was the moment I lived all my life for but prince Sebastian was not about to take me right here in the parking lot.

This wasn't right but it happened naturally in ways that made me wonder how long the goddess had thought of this electrifying moment.

The ride back to his mansion was a rare lucid moment. My mind gravely on what I was about to do with my twin sister's mate. The fear of being caught off of me.

His strong arms hoisted me as though I weighed nothing from the car the second the chauffeur parked outside by the water fountain. I wrapped my limbs around his toned waist burying my lips back in his in a slow but tantalizing kiss.

He broke the kiss again this time holding me captive with his smoldering gaze as he made his way up the stairs. .

My arms linked around his neck pulling in him so the kiss could deepen. My hands snaked through his hair, fisting him roughly, and holding him firmly against my writhing body. His hand slipped to the zipper on my dress, sending it freely to the floor leaving me in just the lace panties and bra my sister had picked out for me.

He stopped by the closed door to give room I suspected as his and pushed the door open taking me straight to his bed.

I straddled him on the big bed with my mouth not leaving his and my fingers feverishly working on the buttons of his shirt fighting the need bursting forth in my as his hand wandered my thighs, working its way in between them agitating the flesh between my thighs. Stroking feathery in circular motion around my soaking wet panties before they coasted over to my boobs, squeezing the mound before he found the hook freeing them from the trapping bra. Another moan sounded in my throat as his lips worked on the hardened nipples.

This was something I had never experienced. This was a bliss I allowed myself to be consume in.

His finger traveled back to my thighs gently pulling them apart granting his fingers the access to my panties again but this time he chose to touch the sensitive skin underneath my panties.

Slowly and gently started to pump his fingers into me, muffling the gasp which escaped my lips with his lips sealed against mine.

“Tight as fuck!" He hoarsely murmured above my lips.

There was no inch of me, his lips didn't taste and tease and when he finally plunged into me, the pain shrouded with pleasure was something I knew somewhere in my soul could never be erased.
