Chapter 16 Alice, Don't Move

Henry grabbed Grant's wrist, twisted it back, and then kicked his knee. Grant hit the ground, one knee down.

Grant's sharp scream cut through the bar, but the blaring music drowned it out. Folks on the dance floor were still throwing their hands up, lost in the beat.

Maybe the pain snapped Grant out of it a bit. He looked up and saw Henry's cold, stern face, his pupils shrinking. "Mr. Howard, I messed up. Take Alice, just take her!"

Henry let go, pulled out a white handkerchief, wiped his hand, and tossed it in Grant's face. "Don't let me hear about you messing with Alice again, or the Johnson Group's out of Loshanda!"

He turned and saw Ethan holding up a shaky Alice, frowning. "What's up?"

Seeing Henry's stern face, Ethan whispered, "Miss Savoy's on something, probably drugs."

Hearing that, Henry spun around to face Grant, who was just getting up. He delivered a spinning kick to Grant's face, sending him flying. The guys holding him up went down too.

Grant spat out blood and a few teeth, mumbling, "It wasn't me, I swear!"

Henry walked over to Alice, scooping her up and looking at Ethan. "Don't let any of them off the hook!"

Ethan nodded, quickly handing over the car keys.

Watching Henry leave with Alice in his arms, Ethan turned and waved his hand. Instantly, a dozen bodyguards surrounded the place. "Clear it out!"

Outside the bar, Henry carried Alice to the car.

Alice's hand slipped between the buttons of Henry's shirt, finding something and squeezing it hard.

Henry's breathing got heavier. "Alice, stop it!"

Alice looked hurt, her eyes watery. "Uncle Henry, you're being mean."

"I'm not."

"Yes, you are." She squeezed again, teasing.

Alice stifled a laugh. She was using the drug as an excuse to mess with Henry.

It wasn't her fault; it was all because of the aphrodisiac.

Grant, the scapegoat, wasn't totally innocent either. He'd hurt so many women and trashed their dignity. Tonight, he ran into Alice and had to deal with his bad luck!

Henry opened the car door and stuffed Alice into the passenger seat. As he buckled her in, Alice wrapped her arms around his neck, her lips close to his ear. "Uncle Henry, I feel so uncomfortable."

The wet touch and her soft, seductive voice were like a jolt of electricity, hitting his heart. His already shaky heartbeat pounded even harder. "I'll take you to the hospital."

"I don't wanna go, it's so embarrassing! Please."

Henry closed his eyes tight, slowly pulling Alice's hands down, and shut the car door.

Walking around to the driver's side, he took a deep breath and called Charles Stuart, "Get to Bluewater Bay, my friend's been drugged with an aphrodisiac."

Charles chuckled, "Guy or girl? If it's a guy, I'll check it out. If it's a girl, you handle it."

Henry frowned. "Just hurry up."

After hanging up, Charles looked at the beautiful woman across the table and said, "Miss Spencer, sorry, something urgent came up. I can't take you home."

Esme shrugged. "It's cool, go ahead."

Charles smiled, "Miss Spencer, think about my proposal. It won't hurt either of us."

Esme smiled and nodded, "Sure, I'll think about it."

Watching Charles get up and leave, Esme picked up her phone and texted Alice: [Met a guy on my blind date today. He proposed marriage right away, said it'd save us from future blind dates. What do you think?]

After waiting a while, no reply from Alice.

Glancing at the time, a sly smile curled on Esme's lips. She remembered Alice's plan for tonight. If it worked, Alice should be busy in bed by now.

But Alice, who should've been busy in bed, was currently being carried into the elevator by Henry.

Alice looked up and bit Henry's hard Adam's apple. "Uncle Henry, what's this? It's so hard."

Henry's Adam's apple bobbed. "Don't talk!"

The elevator door opened on the twelfth floor. Henry carried her out and stopped in front of room 1201.

He punched in the code, and the door swung open.

As soon as they were inside, Alice jumped out of his arms and then leaped onto him, wrapping her legs tightly around his waist.

She buried her face in his neck. "Uncle Henry, I feel so hot."

Henry fought the urge to throw her off and coaxed her, "Get down first."

Alice ignored him and kissed his neck, her lips making a popping sound.

Henry's breathing got heavy, his chest heaving. "Alice, get down!"

Alice sniffled, looking into his eyes. "Uncle Henry, do you hate me?"

"I don't hate you, but this is wrong."

The silver moonlight shone through the floor-to-ceiling windows, adding a touch of brightness to the dim room.

Henry looked at Alice's tear-filled doe eyes, unable to scold her. Her behavior tonight wasn't her fault.

"Charles will be here soon, just hold on a bit longer." Worried she might fall, he supported her buttocks with his hands and walked to the sofa. "Get down, be good."

Alice obediently complied, curling up on the sofa like an abandoned kitten, letting out low moans of discomfort.

Henry took off his suit jacket, pulled a cigarette from his pocket, and lit it.

The scarlet flame added a touch of brightness to the dim room.

He walked to the window and called Charles, "Where are you?"

"Downstairs, coming up now."

Two minutes later, Charles walked in with a medical kit.

The large living room was only lit by a floor lamp in the corner.

Charles teased, "Saving electricity?"

Henry just didn't want Alice's current state to be too clearly exposed to another man. He was a bit irritated. "Cut the crap!"

Charles clicked his tongue, then looked at Alice on the sofa, who had reached her limit. He frowned and looked at Henry. "The drug's been in effect for a while. We can try gastric lavage, but it won't immediately relieve her." Charles clicked his tongue. "Who the hell did this? It's too vicious!"

Alice sighed inwardly, feeling a bit speechless. Could he say something useful?

Henry asked, "Is there any other way?"

Charles smirked, "You."

"Ridiculous!"

"You two aren't married." Charles realized something was off. "Wait, who is this girl? Is she married?"

"Oliver's ex-fiancée."

A hint of surprise flashed in Charles's eyes. "How did she become an ex-fiancée? Is this Alice? She calls you Uncle Henry! What's going on?"

Henry, annoyed by Charles's barrage of questions, asked impatiently, "Is there a solution?"

"No, we can try a cold bath, but her body might not hold up for long."

"Get out!"

Charles felt so speechless by his words. Henry immediately kicked him out after using him!

He grinned mischievously, "Need me to buy you a box of condoms?"
