Chapter 55 Her Coach Seduced Me
Alice pursed her lips and strolled over.
Seeing her actions, Oliver chuckled, "Why are you so obedient? Alice, are you just playing nice because you want something to happen with him? Or has it already?"
Standing in front of Henry, Alice couldn't bring herself to look at his angry, handsome face.
Henry's voice was cold, "If she can do it, it means I'm willing to let her seduce me." He then looked at Alice. "Come with me."
Alice followed Henry.
Watching them walk away, Oliver was stunned. What was going on?
He called out, "Uncle Henry, are you two really together?"
Henry paused, turned, and with a chilling aura said, "Don't let me catch you bothering her again. You can't handle the consequences!"
Oliver clenched his fists. Henry's protection of Alice made him furious. There had to be something between them.
Why should he give up his fiancée to Henry without even a fight?
His eyes filled with resentment. He was determined to have Alice.
Trailing behind Henry, Alice explained softly, "Ophelia went to take a bath and asked me to wait in the study. I didn't expect Oliver to show up."
Henry suddenly stopped, and Alice, unable to stop in time, bumped into him, her nose stinging.
She rubbed her nose. "Ouch, that hurts!"
He turned to look at her. "So delicate! Do you understand what you did wrong?"
Alice bit her lip and looked at him, "I was wrong to lie to you."
Henry sighed lightly. "You still don't get it."
With that, he turned to leave.
Alice stepped forward and grabbed his shirt. "Then tell me, please?"
Just as he was about to speak, Ophelia came running over, her freshly dried hair still fragrant. "Uncle Henry, Alice, you're out!"
Alice let go of his shirt and nodded.
"Why are your eyes red?"
Alice replied, "An eyelash got in my eye just now."
Henry's voice was calm, "There's an auction tonight. Ophelia, you're coming with me."
Ophelia, loving hanging out, grabbed Alice's hand. "If you're free tonight, come with me?"
Alice looked at Henry. Judging by his expression, he didn't want her to go.
Just as Alice was about to refuse, Henry turned and walked ahead, leaving a sentence behind, "Find her a suitable dress."
Ophelia clicked her tongue, "Uncle Henry is quite nice to you."
"Why do you say that?"
"He's usually very cold to others. You are my coach, maybe he treats you better so you can teach me well. And Oliver betrayed you, the Howard family owes you, so Uncle Henry wants to be nicer to you."
Alice nodded. "That makes sense."
Ophelia linked arms with her, "Let's go. This morning, Uncle Henry sent me a lot of dresses, shoes, and handbags. I was wondering why he did this. Turns out he wants to take me to the auction! Tonight, if you see anything you like, just bid on it. Uncle Henry has plenty of money."
Ten minutes later, Ophelia looked at the ten dresses as if she was thinking. "Alice, five of these dresses fit you perfectly. Could it be that Uncle Henry bought your size in advance?"
Alice smiled, "Maybe Uncle Henry wasn't sure about your size, so he bought five in each of two sizes."
Ophelia nodded. "You're right, you're so smart."
Ophelia chose a knee-length light pink dress, making her look lively and cute.
Alice chose a white lace gown that reached her ankles, paired with silver high heels, making her look dignified and elegant.
They applied light makeup.
Ophelia even found a crystal hair clip and pinned it to Alice's hair. "So beautiful, very gentle and serene." Then she handed Alice a handbag. "Put your phone in here. Alice, you're simply stunning."
Alice and Ophelia walked out of the room and met Henry.
Henry was dressed in a sharp dark suit, his tailored pants wrapping around his long legs, exuding pure charisma.
His gaze swept lightly over Alice. "I'll take you to Bore Restaurant for dinner later."
Ophelia was all excited. "Uncle Henry spoils me the most!" She grabbed Alice's hand. "The steak at Bore Restaurant is to die for. I've been craving it since I was abroad."
As they headed downstairs, Paloma paused when she saw Alice and asked Marlowe beside her, "Marlowe, is that Alice?"
Marlowe nodded. "Yeah, Mom."
Paloma thought Alice looked like a goddess all dressed up, and she seemed to match Henry perfectly.
She said, "Alice, stand next to Henry so I can take a look."
Alice walked over, and Paloma couldn't stop smiling, as if she saw her future daughter-in-law.
"Alice, you are so stunning!" Paloma praised generously.
Alice gave a faint smile. "Thank you, Mrs. Howard."
Ophelia chimed in, "Don't call her Mrs. Howard, call her Grandma like I do."
Paloma then realized how absurd her thoughts had been.
Alice smiled, "Grandma."
Henry's face instantly darkened, and he strode towards the door. "You two, hurry up and follow."
Ophelia clicked her tongue, "Why is Uncle Henry's mood so unpredictable? He needs to find a girlfriend, or he'll have hormonal imbalances!"
Ethan drove them to Bore Restaurant.
Ophelia kept talking non-stop throughout the meal, her mouth either eating or talking.
She rubbed her belly. "Wait for me, I'm going to the restroom."
With that, she stood up and left, leaving only Henry and Alice at the table.
Alice stared at Henry, resting her chin in her hands. "Uncle Henry, did you specifically prepare the dress for me?"
Henry narrowed his eyes slightly. "You're being a bit wishful thinking."
"Uncle Henry, being too cold with your words will make it hard to get a girlfriend."
Henry gave a mischievous smile. "But what if other parts are not that cold?"
Alice looked at Henry's refined face, yet he joked like this. She couldn't help but give him a playful glare.
Henry laughed, looking very charming.
Alice felt she was being teased and suddenly held a sense of challenge and competitiveness.
So...
Henry's smile suddenly froze. He felt something crawling up his pant leg.
Seeing Alice's mischievous smile, he suddenly reached out to grab Alice's restless little foot, then he placed it on his thigh and used his fingers lightly to tickle her sole.
Alice, being ticklish, couldn't help but giggle. "Stop, don't tickle, it’s so ticklish. Uncle Henry, I was wrong, please."
Noticing Ophelia walking back, Alice tried hard to hold back her laughter. "Let go, Ophelia is coming back."
But Henry's hand under the table continued to misbehave.
Alice bit her lip and suddenly stretched her foot forward, lightly stepping on him.
Henry instantly let go, with his eyes narrowing as if he was saying, "Alice, you're done!"
Ophelia came back and stood by the table. "Let's go."
Henry cleared his throat. "You two go ahead, I'll settle the bill."
Alice blinked while pretending to be concerned. "Uncle Henry, are you feeling unwell?"
Ophelia was shocked. "Uncle Henry, are you okay? Do you need to go to the hospital? Since you are getting older, it's inevitable to have some issues here and there."
Henry held back his anger. "No, you two go ahead."
Alice then looked at Ophelia. "Ophelia, go find Mr. Ross. I'll stay here with Uncle Henry; he doesn't look well."
Ophelia panicked as she nodded and quickly ran downstairs.
Alice shook her head smugly while looking at Henry.
Henry gritted his teeth. "Alice, have you forgotten that I'm still mad at you?"
In her moment of pride, Alice had indeed forgotten that Henry was still angry.
It was her fault, her trouble.
She immediately stood up and approached to appease him. "Uncle Henry, don't be mad."
Henry pulled her onto his lap, then he grabbed her chin and kissed her. After a moment of lip and tongue entanglement, he let her go.
"What do you think Ophelia would say if she saw us like this?" Alice stared at Henry.
Henry whispered seductively in Alice's ear, "I'll just say her coach seduced me!"
