Chapter 4

Zade

It was very hard for my wolf to resist my mate. As lycan wolves, our mates have a significant impact on our lives; we can't stay away from them for long. Years had passed without a mate, but when lycan wolves find their mate, they can't stay away for even a minute.

I was angry at the Moon Goddess for giving me an omega, knowing full well that my countless enemies might one day use her to punish me. I gritted my teeth in annoyance.

She stood before me in a worn dress, riddled with holes. It was a very old dress; only God knew how many years she had had it. She had noticed how I was staring at her she held the torn part biting her lips tenderly.

Immediately, I saw Miranda approaching us I whispered some things to her which she nodded Miranda, the witch who was very close to me and helped in many ways, to take care of her.

Miranda was one of the few remaining witches, very strong and probably last of her kind. Nobody had heard anything about witches since my father, Lord Adolphus, had killed them.

I went straight to my room I pulled the door slowly going straight to the bathroom I need a cold bath at the moment I pulled the key out and unlock the door. My first instinct was to put my foot inside first to test the waters before entering completely.

Just as I liked it, my mind went back to Ashley. I couldn't deny my strong attraction towards her, but I immediately shoved the thought away. I could hear the sound of my door opening—it was her, my mate. I could sense her, despite her omega status, her scent was quite strong, probably because she's my mate.

I stretched my hands to grab my towel hanging by the knob, tying it around my waist. As I stepped out, her scent became even stronger. There she was, arranging my bed. As soon as she noticed my presence, she turned to look at me and let out a small gasp, her eyes roaming over my body..

My wolf was elated to see her. The way she looked at me with such desire.she isn't scared to look me in the eyes, Nobody could stand still and look me in the eyes without trembling in fear. Her beautiful blue dress clung to her, her brown hair cascading over her body—she hadn't tied it up this time.

As I approach her I could hear her heart began to beat rapidly. She moved back until her back hit the wall. , my hands went straight to her small waist, then my left hands moving up to her neck. My wolf desired her intensely; I couldn't control myself.

I gazed into her big brown eyes as my hands moved to her cheek, caressing it slowly. I couldn't hold back any longer—I wanted her. As our eyes met, I whispered, "You are mine." She gasped softly, and without waiting any longer, I kissed her, my lips capturing hers. Didn't let her to finish whatever she was about to say she immediately responded to my kiss I was soft and gentle with her.

My hands went to her zipper as I began to unzip it, kissing her without breaking the kiss. As soon as I unzipped her clothes, they fell off her body, leaving just her panties and bra. I carried her in a bridal style over to my bed and placed her on it.

Ashley

I woke up with a burning pain between my legs. I turned over, and the Lycan king wasn't beside me. Somehow, I felt sad about it. Somehow, I should be regretting what had just happened, but I didn't really regret it, knowing he was my first.

I tried standing up, but I only felt sore. I ignored the pain as I picked up my clothes lying on the ground, put them on, and went out. I met two girls passing by who gave me looks of disgust before going their way.

I ignored them as I started looking for Marinda. I didn't know where her room was, but she might be with King Zade. I started finding my way to the dining hall, hoping to see King Zade. The thought of him always made my heart beat with joy, and I couldn't deny it.

I asked a few people who were willing to answer me where the dining room was. I finally found it, and as I was about to enter, I could hear Azura's voice speaking loudly. I opened the door a little and saw her sitting beside King Zade with her hands on his and Marinda was standing beside King Zade.

I felt sick to my stomach, disgusted by her, and jealous that she gets to touch King Zade while I can only watch from the shadows. "So when is the wedding?" I heard Azura say. It felt like my heart was being grasped by an iron hand and tears pooled in the corner of my eyes. They wanted to get married… How could I have forgotten and let the King have his way with me and now, I felt disgusted with myself.

I didn't wait for King Zade to reply. I stormed off, my vision blurred by tears. Back in my room, a mix of anger and heartbreak gnawed at me. After a moment, I made a decision and returned to his room, knocking gently. No answer. He must still be with Azura. I opened the door and sat on his bed, waiting.

Each passing second felt like an eternity to me and when the door finally creaked open, King Zade stood there, his eyes cold and distant. He shut the door with a soft click. "What are you doing here, Ashley?" His voice dripped with disdain.

"I—I just wanted to talk about what happened yesterday," I stammered, but he cut me off.

"It meant nothing to me," he said flatly, and the words struck like a dagger to my heart.

My throat tightened as tears welled up. "But it was my first time. You were my first," I said, my voice barely above a whisper.

He stepped closer, and I instinctively moved back. "Get out. I don't want to ever see you in my room again."
