The Mysterious Cabinet

As they made their way deeper into the hotel, they couldn't shake off the feeling that they were being watched. The music and laughter of the partygoers seemed to fade into the background, replaced by an eerie sense of unease.

"Where do you think they're keeping her?" Bobby whispered, his eyes scanning the corridors.

"I don't know, but we need to find out," Arianna replied, her voice firm. "Manga said something about a cleansing process. Maybe that's where they're holding her."

Jacob nodded, his mind racing with possibilities. "Let's split up and search. We can cover more ground that way."

Arianna nodded, and they quickly came up with a plan. Bobby would check the basement, Arianna would search the rooms on the first floor, and Jacob would investigate the upper floors. Bobby was hesitant to leave Arianna alone, and the look on his face was that of sadness and worry, but Arianna smiled. Jacob guessed that the couple needed alone time, and excused himself away from the room, leaving to start the search.

“I have a bad feeling about this, Ari. We don't have to split up, we can both search for the girl together, that way we'll be able to protect each other,” Bobby suggested, his eyes gleaming with unshed tears.

Arianna's expression softened, and she reached out to gently touch Bobby's arm. "I'll be fine, Bobby. We need to cover as much ground as possible. Besides, I can take care of myself." She offered him a reassuring smile, but Bobby's eyes remained filled with concern.

"I know you can, but I still don't like it. What if something happens to you?" Bobby's voice was laced with worry, and Arianna's heart went out to him.

"Nothing will happen, I promise. We'll be back together soon, and we'll find Anita," Arianna said, trying to sound confident.

Bobby nodded reluctantly, but his eyes still held a hint of fear. "Be careful, okay?"

Arianna nodded, and they shared a quick, gentle kiss before parting ways. Jacob, who had been waiting patiently, nodded to Bobby and headed up the stairs, his heart racing with anticipation.

As they split up, the hotel seemed to grow even more oppressive, the shadows deepening and twisting around them. Bobby made his way to the basement, his footsteps echoing off the walls. Arianna began to search the rooms on the first floor, her senses on high alert. And Jacob climbed the stairs, his eyes scanning the corridors above.

Each of them was alone, but they were all searching for the same thing: Anita, the girl who had been reincarnated, and the key to unlocking an ancient power. But they were not the only ones searching for her.

Jacob couldn't shake off the feeling that they were running out of time, and he looked at the few doors he found, but they were all empty. Suddenly he saw the shadow of an elderly woman.

“Ma'am, I need your help please,” Jacob called out to her, hoping she would help, but the woman burst into laughter and took to her heels. Jacob followed her quickly, running after her. The woman was running into the dark corridor, and as frightening as it was Jacob followed her.

Until they got to a certain place in the back of the hotel. The place looked creepy. It was a wooden cabinet.

The walls whispered eerie tales and the shadows danced with malevolent intent. Its grandeur was a facade, a thinly veiled attempt to conceal the darkness that lurked within.

The air was heavy with the scent of decay and rot, and the walls seemed to press in on you, making it hard to breathe. Every door creaked ominously as if warning you to turn back, and the windows seemed to stare out like empty eyes, watching and waiting.

And yet, despite the creeping sense of dread, despite the feeling that you were being watched and waited for, something was mesmerizing about the cabinet. A curiosity drew you in, a desire to uncover its secrets.

Jacob wanted to take his first step, but he saw the inscription on the door.

‘Be warned, once you enter this cabinet, there is no turning back. Its secrets would consume you, its darkness would claim you, and you will never escape.’

He took a step backward, weighing his options, after thinking deeply, he took his first step forward, then he got the courage, and moved closer to the wooden door. It was old and worn, with strange symbols etched into the wood.

Jacob's instincts told him that this was the door he was looking for. He slowly turned the handle and tried pushing the door open, but the door was shut tightly from inside.

Jacob's heart sank, realizing that the door was locked from the inside. He tried to force it open, but it wouldn't budge. Suddenly, he heard a faint whispering in his ear, "Turn back now, while you still can." Jacob spun around, but there was no one there. The whisper seemed to come from all around him, echoing off the walls.

Despite the ominous warning, Jacob's determination to find Anita kept him going. He examined the door more closely, searching for a hidden keyhole. As he searched, the whispering grew louder, and more urgent, but he refused to give up.

Just as he was about to admit defeat, Jacob noticed a small, almost imperceptible crack in the wood. He pressed on it, and the door creaked open, revealing a dimly lit room beyond.

The whispering stopped, replaced by an oppressive silence. Jacob hesitated, wondering if he should proceed, but his need to find Anita propelled him forward. He stepped inside, his eyes adjusting to the darkness.

'Stop! Call for Arianna and Bobby!’ His mind roared in fear, but Jacob chose to ignore the warning.

Jacob gently closed the door, but to his surprise, the door locked itself.

“Huh!” Jacob flinched, and ran to the door, trying to open it, but it was futile.

“Who are you? What are you doing here?” He heard the melancholic voice of a young lady, and before he could turn to face her, he was hit with a stick.

A light argument broke out between the young ladies, but Jacob couldn't talk because his head was spinning, a few seconds later he fell unconscious.
