Chapter 7 Divorce Agreement

Emma had a hunch it was Anna who ratted her out, but she didn't care. She had nothing to hide. It was Anna who was in the wrong, not her. What was there to be scared of?

Emma said, "Yeah, I went, but..."

"Emma, you're so damn cruel!" George's words cut through her like a knife, making her heart ache.

"You told Anna that even if you died, you'd still hang onto me and never let her marry into the Russell family, didn't you?"

Snitching and lying, huh, Anna? Nice job.

Emma wanted to explain, but George, in his fury, grabbed her wrist and threw her onto the couch.

George roughly took her, pain shooting through her body. This wasn't love; it was punishment. Right then, George was nothing but a sadistic jerk. Emma was terrified, worried about the baby inside her.

She couldn't understand why George had to degrade her like this.

The overwhelming shame and pain soon made Emma pass out.

Emma woke up on the white sheets of a hospital bed, her vision slowly clearing. She realized she was in an unfamiliar place. As she tried to piece together what had happened, the figure beside her made her heart race.

"Awake?" Anna sat by her bed, a cold smile on her face, her eyes full of jealousy and mockery. "You're something else. Ending up in the hospital because of sex."

Yeah, George's roughness had knocked Emma out, landing her in the hospital.

"What are you doing here?" Emma asked softly, a sense of dread creeping in.

"I'm here to see you." Anna's lips curled into a sinister smile. "I heard you got hurt. How sad. Seems like George doesn't care about you at all."

Emma felt a sharp pain in her heart, holding back her emotions as she asked, "What do you want?"

"I've got plenty to say." Anna leaned in, whispering with a malicious glint in her eyes. "First off, George is with me, giving me all his love. You have no idea how much he enjoys being with me! He spends every night with me, unlike you, just a woman he's ditched!"

So every night George didn't come home, he was with Anna.

"What are you talking about?" Emma's heart was in turmoil, unable to accept this bombshell.

"Did you really think he'd keep loving a worthless woman like you?" Anna sneered, her face full of provocation. "He's just using your body to vent his anger."

A wave of helpless anger surged in Emma's heart as she stared directly at Anna. "I won't give up on George that easily!"

"Then I'll show you what it means to be strong!" Anna sneered, pulling a document from her bag and throwing it in front of Emma. "This is the divorce agreement George asked me to give you. Sign it and leave with some dignity!"

George wanted a divorce!

Emma felt like she had fallen into an ice pit, the coldness so intense it hurt every cell in her body.

She had expected this day to come, but not so soon.

George loved Anna. In this game of love, she was the loser, destined to lose completely.

Watching Emma's face go pale, Anna laughed maniacally.

"Emma, look at you. George could never love a woman like you. He told me more than once that you're the most disgusting and shameless woman he's ever met, and marrying you was the biggest mistake of his life!"

Anna walked closer, glancing disdainfully at Emma, who was staring at the divorce agreement.

She sneered, her arrogance even more pronounced.

Suddenly, Anna heard Emma laugh.

The next second, Emma grabbed the divorce agreement and tore it to pieces.

With a cold smile on her pale lips, she threw the shredded paper at Anna's face.

"Just like you told George, even if I die, I'll cling to him. You want me to divorce George? Dream on!"

"What?" Anna was furious after her initial shock. "Emma, you bitch, how dare you talk to me like that? You're asking for it!"
