Chapter 6 The Engagement Party Chaos

Elizabeth glanced at Lily, who looked guilty as hell, flashed a bright smile, and strutted forward. She locked eyes with Jeremy on the stage, grinning bright, seemingly indifferent to the gazes around her..

Jeremy seemed to forget everything, lost in his thoughts, totally ignoring the fuming Emily next to him.

Elizabeth caught sight of Emily in her white dress, saw the jealousy practically oozing out of her, and couldn't help but laugh. Standing there, she raised an eyebrow at Emily, while the crowd's whispers grew louder.

"Oh my God, is Elizabeth about to stir up drama at the engagement party?"

"Check out the tension between those three, this is gonna be good!"

"Why's Jeremy still eyeing Elizabeth? Were they a thing before? Did Emily mess it up?"

The rich kids in the crowd weren't holding back, throwing out all kinds of nasty comments.

Emily clenched her teeth in anger, but Jeremy suddenly pulled her close. Snapping back to reality, he hugged Emily tight and shot Elizabeth a disgusted look.

Elizabeth, intrigued, kept moving forward. She was rocking a sexy red dress, swaying her hips as she headed for the engagement stage.

People around started standing up, eager to see the drama unfold.

Jeremy held Emily protectively, both of them watching Elizabeth like she was a threat. Elizabeth smiled, but just as she was about to step up, a big hand grabbed her waist, pulling her back gently.

Her eyes widened in shock! What the hell? She hadn't noticed anyone sneaking up on her. Before she could process it, she was falling backward, her heart racing with panic. It all happened so fast, she didn't have time to react.

On stage, Jeremy's frown deepened, his hostile gaze shifting behind Elizabeth to the newcomer, Matthew, his face darkening.

The expected fall didn't happen; instead, Elizabeth fell into a strong embrace. A familiar scent surrounded her, and as Matthew bent down, she was enveloped in it. Elizabeth thought, 'It's him! How did he find me here?'

Around them, gasps of surprise echoed.

"Who is that? He's hot."

"He looks familiar, but I can't place him."

"Did Elizabeth hire a fake boyfriend?"

Amidst the chaos, Matthew's familiar voice whispered in her ear, like a hunter with his prey, his tone dripping with amusement. "Long time no see."

In front of everyone, he bit her earlobe. Just like that night on the couch, he breathed against her skin, and his hand on her waist tightened.

Elizabeth was forced against his body, feeling Matthew's arousal, silently cursing him! He was getting turned on just by being near her! That hard-on was pressing against her lower back.

Matthew, shameless as ever, didn't back off! She turned to face Matthew, the bright light illuminating his features, and her heart wavered for a moment.

Matthew's chiseled profile looked cold and distant, but his eyes were full of teasing and desire. His strong, mesmerizing body was wrapped in a thin white shirt.

But she knew once those clothes came off, he turned into a different beast, relentlessly invading her body, making her beg for mercy!

With a face that screamed abstinence, he did the dirtiest things!

Elizabeth couldn't help but remember that night, and she whispered a threat, "What do you want? Don't mess up my plans!"

Matthew grinned, pinching her waist lightly. "You're mine, of course. I'm here to back you up."

The guests' chatter hit a fever pitch at his words.

An engagement party between two powerful families had turned into a juicy drama involving four people. This was getting good!

Elizabeth almost believed him, ready to break free, but Matthew suddenly kissed her cheek. "I finally found you. Don't even think about running away again."

At that moment, Elizabeth wanted to strangle him.

If she had known, she wouldn't have just left a bite mark on his chest that night; she should've gone for his heart!

But with so many eyes on them, she couldn't get violent, so she nodded. "Fine, I was planning to find you too."

Only then did Matthew let her go, gently pushing her onto the engagement stage. But just then, a figure stepped in her way. Jeremy's mother, Ruby Hill, appeared, looking down at her with deep disdain. "You slut, what are you doing here? After Nola's disgraceful act, you dare show your face in public?"

Seeing Elizabeth at the edge of the stage, Ruby shoved her. "Learning bad habits as a minor, shamelessly clinging to Jeremy, and now coming back with a ruined reputation? Get lost!"

Elizabeth smiled, sidestepping her hand and grabbing Ruby's arm, pushing her back hard.

Ruby was livid, snapping, "Don't touch me with your filthy hands!"

Elizabeth smirked, "Sorry, being associated with Jeremy is a stain I can never wash away! He's a loser. Does he really think I could still like him?"

The people on stage turned pale with anger at her words! Ruby, barely holding onto her sanity, wanted to kill the provocative Elizabeth right there!

Did she have the right to talk to the Martin family like this?

Emily moved to support Ruby, but Jeremy slowly blocked her. Jeremy lowered his head, speaking softly, words that felt foreign to Emily. "We're getting married, and she'll be part of our family. There's no need to make a scene."

"What?" Emily stepped back, stunned.

Family? With her still here, Jeremy, her fiancé, couldn't wait to become family with her sister Elizabeth?

He clearly still had feelings for that slut Elizabeth, always protecting her!
