Chapter 2

Returning to the wealthy villa district in Lumina City, she saw her villa as dark as usual and finally breathed a sigh of relief.

It was really a false alarm. Perhaps Leopold hadn't heard Bella call her name nor recognized her.

Sitting on the sofa in the living room, Agnes felt she had been too impulsive. However, if she became a woman Leopold hated, wouldn't that make the divorce easier?

Junior Class 22 at Lumina City University's School of Economics and Management comprised over fifty students, with at least forty admitted through exams and the remainder gaining entry by paying a hefty

Lumina City University's consistent ranking in the top three, even with Leopold as an alumnus, made it a highly sought-after institution for many aspiring students.

At this moment, the old professor Andrew Wilson pushed his glasses and looked at the drowsy students below, very angry.

Andrew slammed the textbook onto the desk, and many students immediately woke up and sat up straight.

Only Agnes, in the last row by the door, wearing a white casual jacket, was still sleeping on her desk.

Andrew glanced around the classroom, "Agnes!" Although his hair was gray, his voice was loud, scaring the entire class into silence.

Only Agnes, who had been called out, was still sleeping, oblivious to all the eyes on her.

"Agnes, Agnes!" Clara, the long-haired girl sitting next to her, gave her sleeve a little tug.

That finally snapped her out of her nap. Agnes blinked groggily at her buddy Clara, "What's up?"

Clara pointed sneakily at Andrew on the stage. Agnes followed her finger and saw Andrew giving her the death stare.

Agnes's sleepy brain woke up real quick. She straightened up like the other students.

Andrew was the weirdest and toughest professor in the whole college, no contest. And she got caught snoozing in his class. She was so screwed!

Agnes awkwardly opened her book and shot a dirty look at the classmates staring at her.

Scared, everyone quickly looked away and buried their noses in their textbooks or stared at Andrew.

Agnes had a mysterious rep, and everyone who shared a class with her knew she was basically a bad girl.

Fighting, drinking, ditching class—she'd done it all.

Lumina City University School of Economics and Management was super strict. No dyed hair, no crazy nail colors, no flashy jewelry.

But Agnes rocked her long lavender ponytail and wine-red nails—nobody could do squat about it.

The only reason she hadn't been kicked out since the semester started was her powerful family connections.

"Agnes, tell me what finance is," Andrew said sternly, glaring at her. He knew all about her background. Not only was Kevin Thomas, Leopold's assistant, related to him, but Leopold was also his student. Still, Andrew wasn't gonna let her slide!

Agnes slowly got up from her seat, not forgetting to nudge the good student and class president in front of her, Jeremy Martin, who was also her buddy.

Jeremy got the hint, quickly flipped to the right page in the textbook, propped it up, and scooted a bit to the left.

The textbook content was right in front of her. Agnes grinned, which made a bunch of guys start sneaking glances at her again.

Agnes had a perfect face, big expressive eyes, a high nose bridge, and luscious cherry lips.

Her figure was just right, not too skinny, not too chubby.

If it weren't for her lousy grades, she would definitely be the most popular girl in school.

Agnes batted her eyes and started reading from Jeremy's textbook, "Finance is about various forms of credit activities centered around banks, and in..."

"Stop!" Andrew cut her off, fuming.

Everyone's hearts skipped a beat. Agnes looked at Andrew, who was glaring at her, and chuckled, "Mr. Wilson, did I get it wrong?"
