Introduction

EXCERPT:
"Rayne stood looking at her reflection in the mirror. Her a pale green ballgown clung to her curves and left little to the imagination. Her jet-black curls are swept up and pinned to her head, leaving her neck exposed. Tonight was the night that most of the unmated wolves in all the North American packs would hopefully find their mates. She was sure all of them were just oozing with excitement.
She was not.
She didn’t want a mate. She didn’t need a mate...."
“...but the sudden scent of jasmine and vanilla hit her nose from somewhere close. That meant only one thing. Her mate was near..."
Rayne met her mate at the Moonlight Ball when she was eighteen, her mate that she never wanted to find, that she never wanted in her life. He showed up out of nowhere. His actions that night unknowingly set her free. She took the freedom he gave her, ran away, and never once looked back.
Now five years later he shows back up in her life after rejecting her five years ago, demanding that she take up her rightful place by his side. He walked away from her after calling her weak. No way was she going to just let him back into her life as if he belonged there. Rayne never wanted a mate, would he being here now change that? Her body and soul beg for him to claim her, yet her heart belongs to another.
Can her mate convince her to give him a chance? Will her lover convince her to stay with him? The Moon Goddess paired her with someone not of her choice, all Rayne has ever wanted was the chance to choose for herself. Who will win? Rayne or the fate that the moon set for her?

I feel that this book has potential. It could be an amazing series. But as is, it's messy and requires structure and focus.I love the idea of an origin story for the sanctuary bar for magical creatures. That has tones of stories right there. Plus the whole rescue and team aspect. So many adventures could be had with different character focus. That's your series. There's good bones to the story it just needs more... more.

a bit messy, story line is all over the shop and hard to keep up with. Characters arent built up greatly and it's just slow and boring to read a lot of words for not alot of actual content.

The title was misleading and although the heroine got her happily ever after it was not with Sebastian. I will end with the first story.

Not only am I not understanding WHY she'd need "rest" from telling a story, I don't get why it's taking SO LONG to tell it! Alec is dead! Just say how it happened 😡. Period! Five minutes, tops, is all it should have taken to explain 😒. Just another example of a writer milking a story for no reason. It's taking forever to get to the point going to make the story, as a whole, somehow better?!
