POV- Flea Doe
Barely getting any sleep made me wonder how the next few days were going so smoothly. With the influx of people, I had to cook for all of them. Having their own way of doing thing they were probably used to three cooked meals a day, along with snacks that they asked for. Cooking all that food had me feeling hungrier than anticipated; especially, as I had lost my privilege of eating. Alpha Steven had said that he felt that I wasn’t moving fast enough for him, having lost his patience. Alpha Taylor agreed, dragging me to the basement where he me beat with a whip telling me that I was useless and lucky I wasn’t going to end up dead. Taking away my eating privileges until I became someone well-behaved and knew how to listen.
“You are damn lucky the other guests are still here otherwise; I’d beat you more severely than I just did. You whimpering idiotic little Mutt.” He spat.
“Of course, Alpha. Thank you for your mercy.” Responding, knowing that if I angered him too much he would just beat me in front of everyone, not caring who saw.
“Get out of my sight to your room through the passages. NOW.” he growled at me, smacking me on the back of the head.
“Yes, Alpha.” Quickly getting to my room only to then be met with an equally angry Luna.
“What were you thinking upsetting Alpha Steven like that. You are so damn STUPID.” she screamed at me, hitting me the stick she had Alpha Tayor make her a few years ago. It was long, had a special thin handle for her to grip it while there were blunt metal spots on it towards the end. When she got really mad at me they tended to cut my skin. I stood there, taking every hit, not moving as she’d just call Alpha Taylor to chain me to the ceiling. I didn’t need that much trouble right now.
“You are going to be lucky that we don’t chain you up and whip you in front of everyone right now. You could’ve ruined all the work that your Alpha and I have done for this pack.” she spat. Hitting my leg knocking me to the ground. I stayed down knowing that getting up would make things worse.
“What did I do to upset Alpha Steven? I can’t fix it if I don’t know what I did, Luna please.” I begged.
“You were taking too much time cleaning up the kitchen before starting the next meal or snack or something.” She hissed.
“I will work faster. I'm so sorry, Luna. I am so slow and stupid.” I pleaded, hoping that she would stop with the beating. A few minutes later she did.
“Get up and get back to that kitchen, you have things that you should have done an hour ago. And because we don’t have time for another issue you now have help. Cause any more problems, and this will not be the only beating you get.” Scolding me before opening my door.
“Yes, Luna.” Hurrying off to the kitchen, I started the next meal. It didn’t take that long or at least I'd hope it didn’t. Cooking all this food was making me hungrier than I had hoped it would. Fearing of what Alpha Taylor and Luna were going to do to me if I caused any more trouble.
Green Mountain Alpha Twin’s - POV
“She’s being harmed. Our wolves are trying to force themselves forward. It's taking all of our energy to hold them back.” Gritting my teeth, I told Dad. This was not going to end well if it didn’t stop. Thankfully we were in a closed room, so no one could hear us.
“CALM DOWN.” Backed by his wolf was the only reason we listened to his order, the closer we come to our seventeenth birthday. “If you do anything it could jeopardize her life and cause her more harm than help her.”
“This can’t keep happening, we don't know how much longer we can actually hold our wolves back. They need her wolf as much as we need her. And the pain they are putting her in is pulling them forward.”
“I know what that feels like, sons. But I need you both to relax and keep your wolves at bay. As doing this the hard way could cause her, her life with them. And we both know the rumors about this pack, it's why we are here. The girls and your mother are here to get information on the females of this pack. While we are here for the other issues.”
“We know. It's just we didn’t expect to find our mate.” I admitted.
“I know that sons. And on that note, I may have a theory about that, not one I'm willing to share until we are out of here with her. The next meeting I’m going to ask for a private meeting I need you to find out if your mother and sisters have learned anything that can help us.”
“Yes, sir.” and with that we all left the room headed to the meeting.
As the end of the week came my hunger was becoming problematic. Refilling drinks or clean away snack plates, was the only reason I was in this meeting, where my stomach began to growl from hunger. Alpha Taylor heard giving me a look that said I was going to feel pain.
“Young lady, go get yourself a small snack from the kitchen now please”, he spoke, shocking me, but Keeping up appearances I replied, “Yes, Alpha”. Swiftly getting to the kitchen where I found a small snack of two small carrots. After which I sat by the meeting room, not egging on any more trouble for myself.
Fear running through me wondering what Alpha Taylor was going to do to me. I'd already gotten a beating for angering Alpha Steven, not understanding what I did wrong. He hadn’t actually asked me for anything yet. Perchance I was going too slow for him to ask me. I would have to do better if I didn't want another beating. Or risk getting killed as the Alpha and Luna were already angry enough with me.
I feared that this would be the moment that I would get beat in front of everyone. Only from getting my wolf and my extra souls killed as they deserved better, I feel sometimes that they got paired with the wrong human. Sometimes, I wish that I could find someone better for them to be with, not that my wolf doesn’t then tell me that she wouldn’t have any other human out there, telling me often that I am special and meant for more than just a punching bag. Believing her means feeling hope and that does nothing but get us into trouble.
‘Stop that. No, it does not.’ She argued yet again.
‘Yes, it does. Or do you not remember the three months you spent away from me?’ I countered.
‘I do. You know, I do. But our time here is almost over. That is reason for hope.’ She exclaimed. I let things be, after a while I headed to the kitchen to prepare yet another meal that I wasn’t allowed to eat. I hated it here as I always seemed to fall short of getting to eat. Another reason I felt sorry for my wolf and my other souls, didn’t deserve to starve to death. As I cooked and cleaned I felt calming and kind eyes on me but whoever they belonged to stayed in the silent. Seeing that I wasn’t worth their effort, they eventually went away, only in distance.
Tomas’s - POV
Once the girl left the room, we seemed to calm down some. Reeking of fear and anxiety had my wolf and I angered. If we hadn’t been here or at least in the room she’d have been beaten again - or worse, killed. I couldn’t have that; my sons just found her, their mate.
“Nestor, my friend, may we have a private word without an audience?” I asked.
“Of course, Tomas.” He said, “We will convene again in two hours from now.”
“Excellent, sons, go find your sisters and Mother and see how they are doing.” I told them.
“Of course, Father.” They said in unison wishing they could go to their newly found mate. Meanwhile, his son probably went to harass someone; likely being my son's mate. So, I linked one of my warriors to be close by to ask her for assistance to keep that from happening at least for now.
Once completely alone, I poured each of us a glass of his rum that he has out.
“So that young lady -- does she provide any worthy services.” Casually I asked.
“Yeah. When she behaves.” Alpha Taylor answered, meaning all the time. I knew he loves to beat the girl for whatever whenever the mood struck him. “Why? You looking for one?”
Hiding my anger as my sons already felt her pain. “More interested in taking her off your hands. How much?”
Grabbing a piece of paper even though he was clearly caught off guard. “You’re serious?”
“Yes.” Keeping a light tone know that if was to be successful he had think I really wanted her for something like that. Disgusted at this man, calling himself an Alpha while beating a helpless small she-wolf for no real reason at all.
“Well, here.” Scrambling something down and then passing it to me. I opened it to read, ‘$5,000’.
“Deal.” Replying quickly knowing that if I gave him a moment he’d have second thoughts. Hesitation could lead to him changing his mind, by torturing her more or simply killing her. At least until the payment cleared.
