Chapter 3

PROMISED TO THE MAFIA PRINCE

(She is his to ruin)

Chapter Three

Present

The ride stopped and the door opened, bringing Maria back from her thoughts.

She looked around her surroundings through the window and saw an airplane in front of them.

She shrieked and looked at Rico. "Are you not going to kill me? I betrayed you. I ran off, I slept with many men before I met Joshua, so kill me now" She provoked him, even if it was a lie. She never slept with any man, not even Joshua, the least she did was share a brief kiss with him.

The man she had been willing to give her to was the monster in front of her.

She could feel the anger radiating through his body, rage washes him and she could see in his eyes that he wanted to kill her, but instantly he masked his anger with a devilish smirk.

"Good for you, Mia. That means you have more experience in pleasuring a man than any woman in our society, which makes you a better sexual partner" He said to her with great shock, Mia blinked repeatedly trying to wrap her head around what he just said.

Sexual partner, the plane. If he wanted to kill her, he wouldn't waste any time. That is the Rico she knew before she left and there is no way he has changed, no he is probably way more brutal than before.

No, why is he not killing her, why are they here? Instead of her death.

The smirk on his handsome face tells her everything. She isn't going to die any time soon, he is going to make her suffer and the worst thing that could happen to a runaway is returning home.

The door opened but Rico didn't step out. "Where are we going?"

He chuckled, stepping out of the car, and went to her side. Opened the car door for her, like a perfect gentleman.

But that is the last word to use to classify him.

"Rico, where the fvck are you taking me?"

"Where else? We are going back home. Everyone missed you so much, it took us three years but that is over now. Isn't that right, love?"

That was all Mia needed to hear, she hurried out of the car through the other side, running as fast as she could, not stopping even though she heard some footsteps behind her.

There is no way, in this world, that she is going back home. She rather dies, thankful she was a good runner.

No one has ever caught her when it comes to running, no one except...

"Ah," She yelled as a force landed on her, making her and the person crash on the ground.

She didn't bother looking at the person, as she made an attempt to escape again but he pulled her by her waist, pinned her to the ground, and got on top of her, holding her hand.

She met Rico's angry eyes, and words were lost in her mouth.

Mia takes her words back, she wasn't good at running, and compared to him she sucks but that isn't the issue here.

She could feel her heart beating fast by their closeness, her chest rising and falling and he could see it.

"I don't want to go home," She said in a low beautiful tone that always calmed him before.

But seeing, the look on his face didn't deface, it probably does not affect him anymore.

"Unfortunately, you have to. You don't have a choice, Mia. You lost it the moment you betrayed our society, the moment you betrayed me"

He stood up and Mia did the same, she wanted to run again and it was obvious what was on her mind.

"Don't run from me, don't" Rico warned hoping she would listen but she disappointed him, even if there was no point in running.

She wasn't going to give up easily, before she could take a step, Rico held her hand and sprinkled her over his shoulder, while she protested, hitting his big back with her hand.

"Let me down"

"Never, you are mine now. No one will change it, and now we are going back to where you belong"

Maria didn’t stop fighting him, her biggest nightmare was going back home, she knew what he had in plan for her.

The humiliation and discrimination in their society, the thought of their rejection, and their hatred make her sick and most importantly the person she feared most.

Her father, Sergio Vitalio. If she goes back home, she will have to face him and all of his torment. It will be way more harsh than before.

Death is even better at this point.

“Rico, please. Just let me go” she pleads with tears rolling down as he places her back in the car.

“You can’t beg for forgiveness now princess, it is too late,” he said and signaled for one of his men to inject Maria with a drug which made her black out and fall into his arms.

“We finally are together now”
