Be My Woman

Layla shrunk back like a frightened cat. Her long hair fluttering up and down with her movements as she answered a low humming sound.

Reznik curled his lips and smiled. “Are you hungry?”

“Yes, a little bit.” Layla answered in a small voice. “Do you have nutrient solution? I don’t have star coins. I can’t buy it anymore.”

Her timid look made Reznik want to press her under him and fuck her.

Holding he armrest of the sofa, Reznik’s arms were tense as he approached Layla’s red lips. He whispered seductively: “My nutrient solution here is not for free.”

Layla knew this logic. After all, she was a corporate slave in her past life. She was too focus on work that she neglected her social circle but it did not mean she could not observe her co-workers’ gossip.

So, Layla immediately expressed her position. “I can work.”

Knowing that Marshal Reznik’s identity was not simple and he was her quasi guardian after she left the Garbage Star, Layla needed to lean against this tall tree to shelter her from this unknown world. She needed time to adjust.

Layla knew that the Garbage Star was far inferior from the Capital Star. After scrolling the Star Net and after seeing those amazing things displayed in the Star Mall, Layla knew she was far from adjusting in this world.

“I can do any work!”

This time, Layla’s words had no hint of uncertainty. This time, Layla wanted to integrate in this world thousands of years later from her past life. Hence, she failed to notice the predatory gaze pinned on her.

“Any work?” Reznik could not control the sinister grin painted on his face.

Layla still failed to understand Reznik’s tone as she was still immersed on planning about her future. Unbeknownst to her, her future was already claimed by a certain marshal.

Layla nodded quickly. “Yes, any work. I have already collected scraps, what work can’t I don?”

Reznik smiled softly. “Come with me first.”

He stood up and walked out. He soon heard footsteps behind him—gently—like a kitten’s paw pad, stepping on the ground without making any sound, but it was still very cute.

Layla followed Reznik. Looking at this luxurious and high-tech starship as she walked, small exclamations came out from time to time. She could not help but want to tell the scientists from the old Earth that their wish of flying to the other side of the universe would soon be realized. Somehow, Layla felt a little emotional.

Reznik’s lower abdomen tightened just by listening to her soft exclamations. He could not help but imagine how she would scream lewdly when he fucked her.

By the next turn, they arrived at the starship’s restaurant. Except for a single waiter waiting for them next to a table filled with delicacies similar to the old earth’s dishes, no one could be seen in this spacious area.

The waiter bowed to them lightly before he rang the small bell. On cue, more waiters dressed in black and white uniform appeared. They brought all the dishes, placed them on the table, and uncovered the lavish food for Layla to see.

Growl…

For the first time ever since she entered this era, she finally saw real food! Although nutrient solutions were more practical and could ease her hunger, the joy of eating was still engraved in her bone as someone who came from the era of foodies.

Layla was snapped from her reverie when she found herself floating! On instinct, she hugged Reznik’s neck as she exclaimed in surprise.

Reznik placed her on the seat next to him.

“What do you want to eat?”

Reznik made sure to tell his people to bring chefs who knew to cook foods. This kind of talent was rare in the entire Capital Star—or even in the entire galaxy—since foods cooked by chefs were the remnants of the old earth. The only two differences of the foods in the interstellar era and the old earth were the ingredients and the additional spiritual value of the interstellar foods was not in the old earth’s foods. Hence, authentic foods created by the professionals called ‘healers’ were much expensive than the most expensive nutrient solutions.

The ingredients used as substitutes were filled with mutant viruses, but with the help of healers specializing in cooking, their foods created were without viruses. And also, it contained small traces of spiritual energies that could calm the rampaging of mental riot.

For people in the interstellar, the higher the level of mental power along with high frequency of usage of spiritual energy meant one thing—that individual was prone to mental riot.

Mental riot was an incurable disease that was often present in mech soldiers. This was the equivalent exchange of the great power a high-level individual possessed.

For Marshal Reznik, as the youngest and only SSS-level mech soldier in the interstellar, mental riot was a common thing. Hence, the presence of healers was indispensable for him. But a person had only limited appetite, plus, the wisps of energy contained in the foods cooked by healers was not that big—it simply paled in comparison to the soft humming of the singing healer Layla.

The moment Reznik found out about Layla’s rare talent, he knew she was his. He wanted to keep her by her side at all times. And he wanted to lock her up so no one would covet her and no one would take her away from him.

In the middle of their meal, Reznik suddenly stopped eating. Wiping his mouth with white silk, his movements were elegant, making Layla in trance for a split second.

“Layla, you know that I will be your guardian until you reach the age of adulthood, right?”

Layla paused before she nodded slowly. She also stopped eating. Her pair of deer-like eyes staring at Reznik, waiting for him to continue.

“Be my woman. Sing for me and accompany me to the pit of the abyss.” He was not asking her. He's informing Layla.
