ELENA'S POV

When I stared at the looks in his eyes, it was a little bit cold as opposed to the night that we first met.

I sipped in a deep breath. Maybe it was because of my sudden appearance there. I shouldn't be doing anything to it.

I also thought about the mate's scent. I could barely perceive it when we met earlier today, which I had not heard of in all werewolf folklore from books thrown away by Kate.

Again, I threw this thought from my head. It was already a miracle that a wolf-less she-wolf was able to get a mate in the first place. I should not stretch my hope way too long.

My body was aching, and I needed to take a bath. I walked into a standard bathroom for the first time in years and let out a really deep moan.

It was still difficult for me to believe that I was mated to the Almighty Alpha Stefan to be his Luna soon enough.

I had already escaped from one hell and this seemed just too much to comprehend as my heart was flashing on my chest with excitement over and over again.

I stayed in the bathroom for thirty minutes. The water and soap a bit deep into the wounds in my body, but I didn't care. This was my moment, and I was going to enjoy every single bit of it.

Thirty minutes was how long I had spent in the bathtub when I eventually decided to drag myself out.

Two ladies were already waiting outside for me with a variety of clothes for me to choose from. My heart dropped to the bottom of my feet.

When I was still in Alpha Henry's home, I had to make my clothes from the pieces of materials that I could gather from here and there.

But the clothes that were right before me were all designer wear. Once that I never thought that I could even get to sniff all my life.

"Thank you, moon goddess!" I appreciated the moon goddess for giving me the perfect life that I had always thought about. And now that I had it, nothing was going to take it away from me.

I chose the green-themed and stone-glazed dress from the list. It was my favorite color because it was my mom's too.

The ladies waited for me to put on my clothes, doing my hair. And when I looked into the mirror, I saw someone that I could barely recognize and a strand of tear dripped down my eyes.

"Miss! You look stunning! " The ladies said almost at the same time with genuine smiles.

"Thank you!" I quickly pushed the tears from my eyes.

"Please join us for dinner!" They added once again and I nodded.

Walking right behind them, I had a light headache that made me trip a little, almost running over the table.

They turned around towards me with a sense of worry in their eyes.

"Miss! Are you okay? " They inquired, and I nodded, trying to smile it off.

"Maybe I have gotten so used to that wretched life that I have forgotten what a good life should look like!" I muttered to myself.

However, this wasn't the case. Trying to walk past the door, my vision became blurry, and I was gradually beginning to drop to the floor, gradually losing consciousness.

"Miss! Miss!" The multiple visions of those people before me continued to blur until, eventually, I blacked out.

When I woke up again, I was in a different environment. A hospital. The last time that I had to visit one was when my parents were still alive.

Alpha Henry would never waste money and time taking me to the pack's hospital. The most that he would do was throw multiple pills down my throat until I got better with a pile of tasks waiting for me.

I tried to stand up slowly but then, a hand stopped me from doing this.

"Don't stress yourself, Miss!" The words hit me.

Looking up, I noticed that this person was the doctor, with a day-brightening smile on his face.

" Doctor, what's wrong with me? I was strong and the next minute, I blacked out."

I was worried that my mate was going to see me as fragile, but I knew that I was not. With the amount of work that I had been made to go through without breaking out, this had to be something else.

The doctor was still smiling as he pulled out a smile. But that wasn't enough to push away the anxiety that was forcing itself over me.

" We ran through a lot of tests, and you don't have to worry. It's completely normal. Especially at the early stage of your pregnancy."

"Pregnancy! I'm pregnant? " My eyes popped.

"Oh! You didn't know already? Well then, congratulations! " His face beamed.
