Chapter 6 FIGHTING FOR WHAT IS MINE

RIEKA POV.

I wake up on our bed, with a sore neck, body pain, a bandaged forehead and a headache to see Ralph sitting next to me, with a sorry face.

It's already noon time and apparently I was unconscious hours.

"I am sorry bab.."He apologizes before I cut him off.

"Not another word"I command as I try to sit up right.

"Ah.."I groan as I held my head in pain and he tries to touch me "Don't you dare".

"I am sorry babe"He apologizes once more.

"what for. Beating me to a Pope, or almost killing me"I question angrily.

"I was offended, you were all smiles. You're never that way with me"He says.

Is he seriously trying to justify his abusiveness, What an asshole.

"How can I, when you are always hurting me"I yell.

"Fine, I messed up ok. I am sorry, I wouldn't do it again, promise"He says sincerely.

"You always say that and honestly I am getting fed up..."I voice before being cut off with a knock.

"Come back later"He commands in a yell.

"Sorry to disobey you my prince, but the ALPHA commands that you and your wife have lunch with him at the dinning"An omega informs and we panic.

I can't let Dad see me like this, he's going to throw a tantrum.

"Tell him we're busy"Ralph orders.

"No, can't do your highness. The Alpha instructs that you two be forced if you create any resistance"He informs.

"We will be there in a bit"And with that he left.

I hurrily slip into a blue long sleeve dress and 2 minutes later we are seated at the dinning waiting for dad and mom's arrival, it takes a while but they eventually walked in.

Pa takes a seat, 2 seats away and silently stares at me for a few seconds.

"What happened to you Rieka?"He ask concerned as he sips on his glass of white wine.

"I tripped in the bathroom"I lie.

.I don't get why I am still covering for this jerk, but I don't want to worry dad anymore than I already have.

"How typical for you. Clumsy as always, it's bad enough that you already have an ugly scar face, now you want to add bruises to it as well"Mom says as she rolls her eyes, pretending to be oblivious to the fact that her son has been hurting me, even though I have told her time without number.

"Mom please"He beseech her to stop and she obliges.

"Is that so, and I am guessing the fall also created those weep marks on you as well"He says and my attention is drawn to the weep mark on the back of my palm.

I hurrily retrieve my hands underneath the table.

"Tell me Rieka is Ralph hurting you?"Pa ask. I so desperately want want to shout Yes but I fear the consequence.

"Of course not father. I would never hurt her"Ralph hurrily lies before I could speak.

"Let her speak for herself"Pa orders "Rieka speak for yourself".

I take one last look at my husband sitting next to me, and he whispered the word 'Please'.

"Yes pa"I voice and his eyes widen in shock, bet he didn't think I could snitch on him like this "My husband will never hurt me"I lie as I held his hand with a smile and he lets out a breathe of relief.

"Are you sure child?"Pa ask and I reply with a nod.

"Thank you"He whispers in my ear as he kisses my cheek, and holds my hand, that was it, I forgave him.

RALPH POV.

A week has passed since the whole Gabriel-RIEKA incident, and I am happy to say that we haven't fought since then. It is a lovely afternoon, just a few minutes past 3pm, and I am just taking some fresh air in the garden when a call comes in from Gabriel.

"Hi bro"He says when I answer the call.

"I see you are no longer mad at me"I say nonchalantly.

"Don't be like that bro. I sent you something. Have you seen it?"He ask, and just then I get a notification on my cell, informing me that the sum of 10million has been deposited into my account.

"Thanks bro"I say in ecstasy.

"You are welcome"He says "How have you been?"He ask

"Good and you?"I question.

"I am ok, what of your wife?"He ask.

"She's good"I respond simply.

"Can I speak to her"He request and.

I start getting offended, ' why in heaven's name will he want to talk to my wife, does he want her'- I panic for a moment.

"No, actually she is not around, She went to work"I inform him, after composing myself, thinking he will give up on annoying me, but what he says next sends me over the edge.

"Can I have her number"He ask

"No"I say agitated "Why are you hell bent on talking to my wife. Do you like her?"I ask pissed.

"Calm down bro, is it a bad thing if I like your wife?"He questions.

"Yes, I don't want you talking to her, she's mine"I inform.

"Relax man, it's not like I am going to steal her from you"He teases with a laugh and I immediate hang up the call, for his own sake, because if I say what I wanted, he will hate me for the rest of his life.

He tries to call multiple times but I don't reply instead I goggle down my glass of whiskey in anger.

"Angry much I see"I hear Lifa say from behind me.

"What do you want?"I ask angry, she is the last person I want to see or want to be seen with at the moment.

"I came, because I missed you, I mean it has been over 2 weeks since you kicked me out, sure you miss me too"She says seductively with a smile as she caresses my chest, but I push her hand away.

"Get out, I don't want Rieka to see us together"I command, making her furious.

"Why does it matter? She is worth nothing anymore, just get rid of her already"She beseech me.

"No I wouldn't"I inform, who told her, she has the right to boss me around.

"And why not?"She ask but I don't respond "It's because you have started developing feelings for her right. Don't you dare deny it"She commands.

"Who said I was going to deny it. I love Rieka more than you could even imagine"I say nonchalantly, and her world crumbles.

"What are you saying? you love me not her"She cries.

"Not anymore"I say nonchalantly.

"But you can't. She's ugly and fat. The two things you hate the most"She says in a sob

"And you are worse, at least she has a beautiful heart, she respects and loves me, plus she's not a cheat like you"I says angrily.

"That's what you think, Rieka doesn't care about you, she's only with you because no one else wants her"She says.

"That's not true"I contradict.

"But it's, I bet right now she's with another man"She says with an annoying laugh, and I can't hold myself back from hitting her.

"This should be the Last time you talk about my wife like that again"I warn before walking out.

I might have pretended not to be affected by what she said, but honestly I am dieing from suspicion.

I grab my car keys in a hurrily and dash out of the house only to see Rieka have a discussion with a charming new Gamma from the neighboring pack, a man by name Frank, I try to push down my insecurities for a moment, but when I see her smile, my blood boils.

' It's true, she is cheating on me'- I think before heading to where they are, and slap her across the face.

She tries to explain herself, but I don't want to hear anymore of her lies, her lover even tries to stop me from pulling my own wife in, me, his future ALPHA.

He even has the guts to let me go on, Rieka's command.

' He must not know, who I am, I will make sure he regrets it'- I think to myself.
