Chapter 5 Alexander

ALEXANDER'S POV

Slowly and quietly, my fingers tapped gracefully on the table, creating a soothing rhythm.

"Needless to say, in the aspect of finance, the company is doing exceptionally well,"the head of my financial department said out loud in the conference room.

The corner of my lips curved into a smirk, the company had to do well, it was none after all.

"Good"I muttered as I raised my eyes to meet his gaze. "I want you to keep it like that, one wrong move and…."I paused and stared him dead in the eye, everyone knew my wrath when it came to business and no one dared mess with me.

"That would never happen, president!"The man said and I nodded slightly, gesturing for him to take his seat.

"Next"I spoke up, my voice low and gruff. I was preoccupied with strategies on how to make my business the best.

"president…"the head of the marketing department called out as she stood up and bowed slightly. "in recent studies, the company's marketing has skyrocketed to new and great heights, making us above all other companies in this aspect"

After about an extra thirty minutes of being in a meeting with heads of departments in my company, it was finally over.

I then stood up gracefully and began walking out of the door and almost immediately, my secretary, Alicia, rushed towards me with some files.

"President!"She called as she hastened her pace to meet up with my strides. "I have some things I need you to look into"

"Leave it for tomorrow, I'm busy" I dismissed her as I walked into my private office. I had some things I needed to look into that would help expand my company, although my company had literally achieved everything, I wanted more. I wanted to make it better and more advanced!

"But I can't do that, president!" She said again with a worried tone.

"Alright, what is it?" I asked as I settled into my chair, leaned in and crossed my legs.

"You have some files you need to sign," she said as she kept some documents on my desk.

Just then, My eyes wandered off to a ring on her finger.

"Gemstone" I muttered as I watched it closely, furrowing my brows. Almost immediately, my memory was triggered and I remembered I had a land very rich in gemstone deposits.

"Ah…yes, president,"Alicia said. "I was meaning to discuss this with you, sir. You do have a land rich in gemstone and there's this company; One touch company. They mainly deal in jewelry designing and it would be really nice collaborating with them"

"One touch company"I repeated. "I have heard of that company before, I buy all my jewelry from them. It's safe to say that I love their designs and collaborating with them doesn't seem like a good idea"

"Alright then!"She squealed as she got out her phone. "I would schedule a meeting with them immediately"

After some minutes, she got off the call and looked at me with an excited smile.

"I've scheduled a meeting by nine o'Clock, sir!"She smiled. "It's already 8:30 am and you need to go immediately!"

"Okay"I said coldly as I stood up, grabbed my phone and car key before walking out of the door.

Almost immediately, I got out of the company and into my car before starting the engine and driving off at a full speed.

After some minutes, I got to One touch company, parked my car properly and walked inside.

Just as I arrived at the elevator, I was warmly greeted by the head of the company.

"It's really nice to meet you, sir!" The man said as he shook my hands. "I've been anticipating your arrival! It's a pleasure having someone like you in my company"

"The pleasure is mine" I spoke up while maintaining a business-only composure.

"Your secretary told you about the intended collaboration, you shouldn't have gone through the stress of coming here, president," the man said again. "The deal has been made, my company gladly accepts to work with yours!"

"Alright then, I'm glad you agreed"I gave out a slight nod. "I would head back to my company immediately and prepare the documents then"

"Alright, thank you so much"the man said again as he engaged me in a handshake once again.

After that, I spun my heels and began walking out of the company. Just as I climbed the stairs that would lead me out of the company, I suddenly crashed into someone.

"Oh!"A feminine voice rang out and I looked up to see the most beautiful pair of eyes staring at me. I stared at the woman, I couldn't deny the fact that she was good looking.

She seemed to be hypnotized by my physical appearance because she kept staring at me as though she had seen a demigod. Well…I couldn't blame her because I was crowned the most handsome bachelor in the country and all the girls literally swooned for me whenever they saw me. My well defined jawline, my deep blue eyes and dark, long raven-like hair that cascaded down my face all screamed perfection.

"Umm…hello, President Alexander"the woman spoke up as she flashed me a warm smile, extending her hand for a handshake. It was clear she recognized me.

"Hello,"I said briefly. "I'm sorry for crashing into you, Miss. I didn't see you coming"

"It's alright"she smiled. "I'm really happy to see you right now, I've been praying to have an encounter with you"

"Okay '' I muttered as I stepped aside politely to let her pass, I could see the lady clearly wanted to strike up a conversation with me but I was too busy for that.

Just then, her next words got my attention.

"I'm Leo's fiance and I have some information about him,"she said, staring into my eyes.

I raised a brow, if she was his fiancee then why did she want to throw him under the bus?

Noticing my doubt, she spoke up. "It's not what you think, sir,"she said in a hurry. "I came across some crucial information at leo's house about your company and decided to share if with you"

I furrowed my brows, whatever that had to do with my company was automatically my business.

"Let's discuss properly at a cafe"I spoke up as I strode down the stairs with the woman following me behind. Although I felt suspicious, I still had to hear her out.

Just as we arrived at a cafe close to the company and took our seats, I questioned the woman.

"Why do you want to sell out your Fiance's information?"I asked.

"Let's keep that aside, shall we?"The woman said with a sly grin. "Just know that whatever I show or tell you is the truth"

"And where is your evidence?"I asked again, raising a brow.

She then scrolled through her phone and after some seconds, she faced me towards me.

"Look at this,"she smirked.

Staring at the information in front, I knew the information she had was genuine.

"This isn't the right place to discuss this"I growled as I took out my phone. "Put in your digits, this isn't a safe place or such discussions"

"Alright then"the woman said as she took my phone and imputed her digits before giving it back to me.

After saying her number, I got up to leave. “I'll contact you once I've considered everything," I said as I made to spin my heels and exit the cafe.

"Alright then, I would stay here and finish my coffee before heading back to the office" the woman winked at me before lifting her coffee to her lips and taking a sip out of it.

I took a glance at her, said nothing and exited the cafe as I stared at her number in my phone.
