CHAPTER FOUR

Leilani's trembling hand took a hold of her phone as she picked up the call, her lip still trembling at the shock of the pregnancy result. She heard Ella's voice which made her calm a little bit, giving her a sense of relief, and it's comforting.

"Mrs Winchester, why is it taking you so long to take my call or wait, don't tell me you are working things out with Gustin?" She heard her sister's sweet and squeaky voice.

Leilani sighs. "No, I-I-I was doing something when you called," Her voice trembled. Leilani tried to hide the tension in her voice but it failed as Ella noticed it at the other end.

"What's wrong with Leilani? You don't sound fine, did Gustin touch you? Did he hurt you?" Leilani let out those tears as she began to sob loudly.

She bit her lip, trying to calm herself. Hesitating if she should open up to her sister or not but hearing Ella's concerned voice made her open up. "I-I-I'm pregnant, I just found out that I'm pregnant, Ella," She whispered, and the next thing she heard was a loud joyful scream from her sister.

"That's great, Leilani, why are you sounding downYou and I know that this is what everyone has been waiting for, the Gustin family wants from you," Confusion etched in her voice.

"But what if Gustin doesn't want that-Ella, I don't even know if the baby is his own," Leilani said, weeping loudly.

"Leilani, calm down and stop crying, we need to talk about this. I'm coming over right now, I'm ending the shoot I'm doing right now, and within an hour you will see on your door porch. Stop crying, okay " Ella said, her voice firm and supportive which gave Leilani the comforting mind to stop crying.

"Please come over, I really need you," Leilani nodded as if Ella could see her. She felt so grateful to her sister who is always by her side every minute.

"Just stop crying. Don't hurt yourself and the baby, I'm on my way already," Ella said, her voice getting serious.

Leilani nodded as the call ended, she cleaned her tears, and went back into the washroom. She cleaned up the used test strips and disposed them inside a black nylon, tying it so tight before she disposed of the nylon into the waste bin.

Leila rinsed her face as she felt that wave of nausea and almost immediately she threw up inside the basin.

She rinsed her mouth, and cleaned the basin before leaving the washroom. She took her phone, and went downstairs. She sat on the couch moving nervously on the couch.

Leilani waited patiently for her sister to come which felt like eternity to her. And within an hour, she heard a ding. Immediately she sprang, rushing to the door. Leilani opened the door to see Ella's face etched with concern.

"Oh my goodness, Leilani, why are you looking like an uglier version of Ursula?" Leilani rolled her eyes, letting out a chuckle.

Exactly what Ella wants from her.

She stepped in and Leilani shut the door as they headed to the sofa. As soon as they took a seat, Ella pulled her into a warm hug, exactly what Leilani needed.

She starts crying in Ella's arms. "I'm pregnant, Ella. I'm freaking going to be a mother,"

"Why are you crying now? Is it not a good news,"

"No, it's not. Ella, I can't be pregnant and not for Gustin," Leilani stated, and Ella arched her eyebrows.

"What did you mean? What's going on?" Ella inquired, looking at Leilani into her eyes.

"It's Gustin, o-ou-our marriage has been a facade of lie," Ella's eyes narrowed. "What are you trying to say?"

Leilani let out a deep breath as she knew it's time Ella knew the truth. "I did not marry Gustin because I love him. There's a contract binding us together, it was out of desperation. I was need of money when our family was in financial crisis, and he was in need of a wife so he offered to help if I marry him for five years,"

Ella's expression changed, her jaws dropping in shock. "Leilani!" She yelled, and Leilani flinched as she began to cry all over.

"Why will you do that ?Imagine, a contract for five good years. Now I understand the reason why you two don't relate well. How you hate to be called Mrs Winchester, and how you don't like talking about him. Why didn't you tell me, I thought we were close enough?"

"I'm sorry, it was never my intention," Leilani apologized.

"It's fine, the issue is are you going to keep the baby? And who's the father, is it Gustin or not?"

Leilani nodded. "It was a mistake. A one night stand. I didn't plan for this to happen and how will I explain things to him now that his ex is back, the person he truly loves. I don't really know what to do,"

"Ex? What ex?"

"He has an ex. I saw them together and they look so good together today. I realized I was just a void to fill her place till she comes back and now that she's back I should better exit his life," Leilani stated.

"So what are you planning to do?"

"I'm going to divorce him" She declared, her voice firm. "And what about the baby?" Ella inquired.

"I'll keep it. I can't kill this innocent soul," Leilani stated, Ella pulled her into another warm hug, stroking her hair gently.

"I'm with you, you deserve to be treated better,"

A WEEK LATER.

The silence in the home becomes worse day by day with Leilani avoiding Gustin, she avoids eye contact with him and hides her morning sickness from him.

Leilani arranged her clothes in her box, when she heard the sound of a doorbell. Immediately she rushed downstairs, and was surprised to see Gustin on the sofa, working on some files.

She had thought he would have gone to work but he's at home. Leilani hurried to the door, and opened the door to see a delivery man who handed her a brown paper.

"Thank you,"

Leilani shut the door and was about to hurry back upstairs when Gustin's voice made her halt.

Her eyes widened at his words, her hands trembling as she held onto the brown papers tightly.

"Let's put an end to this contract marriage,”
