CHAPTER FIVE

FOUR YEARS LATER.

In New York City, Leilani sat in her living room with two people in her arms, kissing her cheek every minute causing her to giggle. The two people who have turned her life to a meaningful one, and have brought so much happiness into her life.

They are her twins, Aiden and Addison. Leilani watched him gazed at the TV watching cartoons as they held onto her possessively, as if she was going to run away.

Leilani fed her eyes by gazing at her kids, glad she didn't get rid of the pregnancy even when Gustin ended their marriage contract and signed the divorce letter she served him.

The doorbell rang, and the twins ran to the door immediately as if they had been waiting for the doorbell.

Aiden opened the door, and jumped on Ella.

"Aunt Ella is here, mom," They said in unison. Ella entered the house wearing a big smile on her face.

"Hey sis, don't you miss me like the twins do" Leilani chuckled.

As Ella carried the twins to the living room, she showered them with kisses from their face to their body which got them giggling.

Ella took a seat, placing the kids on her thigh and they began arranging her hair for her, turning themselves to a stylist as they got off her thigh.

"What's wrong?"

"Seeing them reminds me of Gustin," Leilani said, sighing softly.

"And what about him? Did he call you?" Ella's expression turned serious.

"Not at all. I was just reminded of him. Funny how he brought up the dissolution of the contract first, just when I went to collect the divorce letter. I guess he already the checked the marriage and see it's going to hinder him from being Bellamy,"

"Leilani forgot about him, okay. You deserve someone better than him so move on,"

Leilani nodded. "He looks so happy with his marriage with Bellamy and they have a child too. They look so good together, what a big happy family,"

Aiden and Addison first Ella to talk, breaking into their conversation. "Mom, can we have a playdate with Aunt Ella?"

"Please mom, please aunt Ella " Aiden begged.

She smiled. "Sure thing, she's sleeping over so she's all yours" Leilani said and the twins squealed happily.

Ella spent the day with the twins and Leilani got herself occupied with her new business, monitoring the sales and growth of her company.

At night, Ella and Leilani tucked the twins into bed then tiptoed out of the room.

"Let's go for an ice cream," Leilani said, and Ella smiled, squealing.

They went downstairs and Leilani went to get ice creams, one chocolate for herself and one vanilla for Ella.

"So, Leilani, you know I have been thinking when are you going to go back to London?"

Leilani hesitated, licking the ice cream off the spoon.

"I don't want to, I'm not going back to London" She declared.

"You have to, Leilani. Aunt Veronica's husband passed away, next tomorrow is his funeral and next week is mom's birthday. Everyone wants you back in London. This is not your home, Leilani so let's fly down to London tomorrow with the kids''

"I don't know if I can face anyone, what if I bump into Gustin or what if he bumps into his kids?" Leilani asked, sighing as she glanced at Ella who gave her a reassuring smile.

"You can't avoid him forever, you two are bound to meet one day. And his kids, you can't hide them from him forever,"

"Ella, I don't want to ruin his already perfect life. He's happily married Ella so I should better stay here with my kids," Leilani said,

"Who told you he's happily married? So because of a man that doesn't even care if you are breathing, you don't want to go back to your hometown. Leilani, get yourself together,"

"El-" Ella's phone chimed, interrupting their conversation. She chuckled seeing the name on her phone screen. 'Husband'

"Excuse me, Leila, I need to say hi to my husband and kids" Ella hurried away, giggling as she answered the call.

Leilani licked her ice cream wondering what her trip to London would like?

Ella returned after some minutes, giggling. "We are leaving tomorrow, and that's final Leilani. No excuse okay and by the way,my husband and kids are sending their regards to you,"

Leilani nodded, knowing eventually one day she's going to meet Gustin but for now, she just wants to forget about it, and enjoys her night, her ice cream.

THE NEXT DAY.

Leilani and Ella prepare for the trip and the twins keep bombarding Leilani with questions that she could barely answer any of them because her mind is occupied with the trip.

"Aunt Ella, Mom, are we going to meet our grandparents?" The twins chimed in unison, bouncing around like a ball

"Yes," Ella responded, and they let out a loud squeal.

"Yes, I can't wait to grandpa and grandma,"

"I can't just wait to see Aunt Ella kids, Maria and Marion." Aiden said.

"They are not just small kids. They are big kids" Leilani chipped in for the very first time. Ella chuckled, and kept the twins more engaged.

They packed their loads and went straight to the airport. At the airport, they went through the security checkpoint before they were allowed to board the plane.

They found their seats as Ella sat with Addison while Leilani sat with Aiden, same line but different row.

"Mom, are you fine?" Aiden asked, with his tiny voice.

She nodded. She could see Gustin features in Aiden starting from his hair, his lips, nose, skin, and personality.

"I'm fine, Aiden," Aiden hugged her, stroking her hair as Leilani wore a reassuring smile on her face.

She hugged him back and within some minutes, he fell asleep in her arms. "What a smart boy"

Hours later, the plane landed in an international airport in London. Leilani put Aiden on the traveling bag, while wheeling another one by her side, and Ella did the same with Addison, wheeling another by her side too.

They arrived at a long queue of people waiting to disembark, and along the chaos, Aiden went missing.

"Mom, I can't find my brother," Addison said, and Leilani glanced around, she saw no trace of her.

"El-Ela-Ella I can't find Aiden," Leilani stuttered as they started searching for Aiden.

Her tears were at the brink of falling as she carried Addison in her arms, running around the airport.

Just when she was about to approach the security guards around, Aiden appeared dragging a man along with him.

"Mom, Addison, look who I found! I found someone that look exactly like us, our dad,"

Leilani's jaws dropped seeing the man standing in front of her. He smiled, "Hello, Leilani, it's been a long time"
