Chapter 5

"You don't need to ask, you just need to give orders!" He said as he stood up and accepted Lucien's request to dance on the dance floor.

The sound of music started to sound as they held hands, Layla wanted to show this man that she could be anything Lucien wanted.

Both of her hands wrapped around Lucien's shoulders, she tried to eliminate all her anxiety to make her master happy. She wanted this to go well.

"It turns out you are very good at dancing, master!" She said in praise. She started using her secret weapon that made her successful in winning John's heart several years ago and she was sure that this weapon would also work on Lucien.

"Instead of dancing, I would rather see you dancing erotically in front of me."

"Erotic dancing?"

Lucien brought his face close to Layla's ear and whispered. "I've prepared a special room, so you can do it in front of me. How about it? Are you willing?"

Lucien carried Layla's body into the room that had been prepared on the second floor. He laid the woman's body on the warm and comfortable bed. Layla's tears dripped, she looked so desperate.

"You got yourself drunk on purpose, didn't you?" He whispered. He knew Layla wasn't quite asleep yet and could still hear his voice.

Lucien was silent for a moment looking at Layla's face carefully, before finally deciding to leave, leaving Layla alone in this room.

Before he reached the doorway, he turned back to look at Layla, making sure that this woman was in the right place. He came back to Layla just to cover her body and turn off the night light on the table.

"Good night, have a sweet dream, my Layla."

Layla opened her eyes with a frightened reaction as if she had just had a nightmare. Her eyes caught the view of a luxurious bedroom that still felt foreign to her.

After remembering, she realized that she was not in the luxury penthouse or mansion belonging to her husband, John Weisz. That's right, after she realized again that she had been sold to a mysterious man named Lucien Schneider, the pain came to the surface again.

"It turned out not to be a dream." She muttered while rubbing the back of her neck. Last night was a very long night and she spent the night having dinner with the man and then drinking more alcohol until she got drunk.

She knew that nothing had happened last night, it seemed that Lucien still hadn't touched her at all, even though she was sure she heard the slightly surprising words from the man's mouth that he wanted Layla to dance a striptease in a special room that had been prepared.

"It turns out he's just like other men, he just wants my body and he'll definitely get it." She muttered irritably. After she recovered from her drunkenness, She began to return to her original personality.

She got out of bed and walked towards the bathroom before she was stopped by three female servants who were waiting for her at the bathroom door.

"Good morning, Mrs Weisz?" The three female servants greeted her with good morning while smiling formally. They looked very stiff, as if they weren't human.

Their presence in her room, which was supposed to be her personal space, made her feel a little uncomfortable. She is still not used to the noble lifestyle of always being served at all times whatever he wants to do.

The life of a socialite like the one she experienced while being John's wife was slightly different even though both of them made her treated like a regal woman.

"What are you doing here?"

"We will help you get ready because master is waiting for breakfast in the dining room." Said one of the three maids.

"What? B-but you guys don't have to do that. I can shower and dress up myself!" Layla felt that she had to refuse them because after all she was independent enough just to clean her body and choose the clothes she would wear today.

"But master asked us to always help you, Madam. That is our duty!"

"But-"

It was really awkward and uncomfortable, strangely she still couldn't refuse them even though she really wanted to. For her, activities in the bathroom in the morning are something she most wants to do alone.

"I understand, okay."

She was forced to accept their help as happened last night when she just arrived at this mansion. After showering and dressing up, a maid accompanied her to the dining room where her master was waiting for her to have breakfast together.

"I'm not a morning person," She said instead of saying good morning like she should. She showed an unhappy expression because she was not used to coming out of her room so early even though she woke up early today.

"In one night you finally showed your true colors." Lucien said while sipping the coffee in his cup. He looked at Layla with a cold and slightly condescending expression. This upsets Layla and she is forced to endure it because of her status as a woman who has been hired by a rich man.

"Forgive me!"

"It's okay, sit down! From now on you have to get used to waking up early and doing activities in the morning."

Layla sat opposite Lucien after a servant pulled a chair for her so she could sit. This nightmare she experienced felt much worse after she woke up in the morning. Even though yesterday she acted like a poor little cat, now her consciousness had recovered and required her to restore what remaining dignity she had.

"Sorry, Mr. Schneider. But my husband never forces me to get up early. I'm free to wake up whatever time I want."

"Really? Turns out your husband is quite good, isn't he?"

"Yes, he's a good husband. At least he doesn't force three servants to help me bathe and get dressed. I can freely do whatever I want." She said in a high tone. Lucien looked at her with a cynical and cold gaze that made her shudder even though she tried not to show her fear.

"A good husband will not sell his wife at auction. Unless you do it happily."
