Chapter 8 Moving out

"I finally made it to the villa, but now I'm hurt," Olivia sighed as she sat on the ground, rubbing her knee and palm. "I should have been more careful."

She walked all the way home since she had no money to take a cab and was too proud to call Ethan for help.

She looked around and took in the beauty of the back garden, appreciating the flowers that surrounded her. "No wonder Ethan spends so much money here," she thought to herself.

After taking a nap in the shade on the swings, Olivia got up to return to her bedroom. However, her foot slipped on the smooth marble floor, causing her to fall forward. In a quick reaction, she grabbed onto the hanging flower branches to cushion her fall, but still ended up with a painful knee and a scorched palm.

As she sat there, examining her injuries and catching her breath, she noticed the smell of olive oil coming from the floor. "What an odd thing to smell in a garden," she murmured to herself.

Upon finishing his work, Ethan returned to the mansion in the evening, which was already seven o'clock. The housekeeper brought him his dinner and he asked casually, "Where is the li?"

"I didn't see her all afternoon. I think she was in a bad mood and stayed in the bedroom," replied the housekeeper.

Ethan’s expression darkened with worry. He went straight upstairs to their bedroom, which was empty. The housekeeper became worried as Olivia was pregnant and inexperienced in taking care of herself. The bodyguards and servants in the villa were immediately mobilized to look for her, searching the garage and wine cellar. Ethan went out of the villa's back door and headed to the small garden, where he saw a slender figure sitting on the ground, clutching a bouquet of roses tightly.

Upon seeing him, Olivia was initially surprised but then saw his cold gaze and called him by his full name. Ethan had a strong fetish for cleanliness, and seeing Olivia dirty and covered in plant juice made him furrow his brows.

Olivia explained that she couldn't get up because the ground was covered in oil. Ethan initially doubted her claim, remembering what Britney had told him earlier about Olivia’s habit of overreacting during her pregnancy. However, when Ethan took a few steps forward, he almost fell due to the slippery ground, making him believe that her claim was true.

Ethan looked at Olivia with concern and asked, "Are you okay?"

shook her head and replied, "I'll be fine."

Ethan noticed a wound on her knee and carried her back to the villa. Shortly after, Anthony was called and he arrived to help Olivia with the wound. The housekeeper went to investigate who had been in the small garden, and it was found that only the gardeners had been there and forgotten to clean up after eating.

Olivia was not convinced that the gardener had accidentally spilled oil on the ground and accused someone of deliberately smearing it. She told Anthony that she planned to move out, and Ethan was not pleased with this decision. He asked her if she did not trust the housekeeper's ability or intentions and accused her of thinking that the housekeeper wanted to harm their child.

Olivia pushed Ethan away and said that she did not intend to embarrass him, but moving out would make things easy for both of them. Ethan asked if she did not want to see him there anymore, and Anthony could see that their conversation was not going well.

“You guys should really calm down.” He blurted out.

No one paid attention to him. After finding a reason to leave, Anthony left the couple alone to talk.

They ended up breaking up unhappily, and Olivia went to the master bedroom and cried. Her phone rang, and it was her good friend Phoebe, who told her that he was coming to the city soon.

At least that would change her from the constant hell she was living in.
