Chapter 4 Have a Great Time Tonight
Emily's family was so good to her that she was scared if she stayed any longer, she'd start bawling, and that would just make them worry more.
The pink Porsche Panamera pulled up in front of a tattoo shop.
Emily hopped out and walked in. "Harper, I'm here."
"Emily, I've been waiting for you," said a young woman in a tight top, light blue skirt, and wavy hair as she came out.
Emily paused for a moment. "You knew I'd get divorced, didn't you?"
When Emily married James, her family and best friend Harper had warned her against it.
Harper nodded. "In this world, it's easy to keep a woman hooked with love. But moving a man? The odds are slim. I've never seen it work."
Emily's heart hurt, but Harper was right.
Emily's experience had already proven this.
"Let's not talk about it." Emily forced a smile. "I've already kicked that jerk out of my life. Now, I need to get rid of the last trace of him from my body."
As they chatted, they walked into a fancy room on the second floor.
The room had the usual stuff like tables, chairs, and sofas, but also a narrow bed, a full set of tattoo tools, and a Spider Lily design Emily had picked out last night.
Five years ago, the day before she married James, she had Harper tattoo 'James' on her chest right here.
Now, she needed to get rid of it, to erase everything about James from her world.
"Just like before, no anesthesia," Emily lay on the bed, closed her eyes, and said.
Back then, she had 'James' tattooed on her chest without anesthesia to prove her love for James and to show him her declaration of love on their wedding night when he undressed her.
Unfortunately, in the five years of their marriage, James never made love to her.
Last night, he did make love to her, but it was mainly to humiliate her, constantly pushing her head down to his crotch. He never even saw the word on her chest.
Now, she still didn't want anesthesia, to remember the pain and avoid making the same mistake of loving a man recklessly.
With the last needle, a stunning Spider Lily appeared on Emily's chest, completely covering the trace of James.
"Done!" Harper put away the tattoo tools and helped Emily up from the bed. "Let's go! We're going to the masquerade ball at Galaxy Club tonight and have a blast."
This was what Emily and Harper had planned last night.
Most people went to nightclubs or bars to have fun at night, but for Emily and Harper, the masquerade ball at Galaxy Club was the best place to let loose.
There, everyone wore masks to hide their true faces and danced freely.
If they met someone they liked, they could head upstairs and do whatever they wanted.
James stepped out of the elevator in the Smith Group's underground parking lot, slid into the waiting Rolls-Royce, and told the driver, "To Galaxy Club."
He had a social event there tonight.
At the Galaxy Club's first-floor dance hall, music blasted and lights flashed wildly.
Emily, rocking a silver fox mask, was dancing like there was no tomorrow in the crowd.
Tonight, she was wearing a tight red short camisole and a matching ultra-short skirt, showing off her killer figure.
Her long, slender legs and slim waist were making people drool.
Her tight red camisole showcased her deep cleavage, where a delicate red petal peeked out, adding to her allure.
A lot of guys in the room stopped what they were doing and zeroed in on Emily.
"That chick's body is insane. Just thinking about those legs wrapped around me gets me going."
"I've never seen a woman with such a perfect body."
"It looks like there's something between her boobs. I'll see if I can get a closer look later."
"You? Don't even think about it. In this city, only a guy like James deserves a woman like that."
Emily was dancing to the beat, but when she heard "James," she stopped and looked at the guy who had spoken. She said, "James? James is nothing. The person least deserving of me in this world is James. Any guy in this world can make love to me, except James. Tonight, I'm going to find a man here to spend this beautiful night."
Hearing Emily's words, all the guys in the dance hall got hyped, shouting and pushing towards her.
"If I can make love to this beauty, doesn't that mean I'm better than James?"
"Beauty, look at me."
"Me! Me! I have an eight-pack! No matter how you want to make love, no matter what position you like, I can satisfy you."
"I'm the most enduring. If you choose me, I guarantee you'll never forget tonight."
"Why fight? Can't we all accompany this beautiful lady tonight?"
The words in the dance hall got more and more vulgar.
Emily felt a bit grossed out but quickly brushed it off.
She thought, 'Life's short, right? Shouldn't we enjoy ourselves to the fullest? If not, who would I keep my body for, to let James humiliate me?'
Emily put a finger to her red lips and looked seductively at the men with glowing eyes.
When everyone quieted down, she said, "I like men who can dance. Tonight, whoever dances with me the best will get to accompany me. Come on, let's move!"
"Move!" The men shouted in unison, all dancing and pushing towards Emily.
