Chapter 5 Don't Push Me to Send You Abroad!

Hazel thought, 'Is my hospital room a supermarket or something? Why so many people coming in?'

She looked up, and her face turned cold.

Standing at the door were her dad Aiden, her stepmom Cleo, and her stepsister Bianca.

As soon as she saw Bianca, Hazel remembered the mess at her engagement yesterday.

Her fiancé Erik, in a life-and-death situation, ditched her to save her most hated stepsister Bianca.

Bianca walked over, pretending to be all concerned, and asked, "Hazel, how are you? I heard you were seriously hurt yesterday and were unconscious." She even wiped away fake tears from her eyes.

Hazel was disgusted and acted like she didn't hear them. She ignored all three of them.

She pulled the blanket over herself, turned to her side, and pretended to rest.

Aiden yanked the blanket off her and pointed at her, yelling, "Hazel! Do you have any manners? Bianca is worried about you, and this is how you act?"

Hazel just stared out the window.

Cleo glanced at Hazel's indifferent expression and quickly said, "Aiden, Hazel is still a child. Don't get too angry; it's bad for your health. Let's deal with the main issue first."

Aiden put his hands on his hips and glared at Hazel. "Still a child? She's 26 years old! Besides, she's already a mother!"

He didn't want to stay in the hospital room any longer. So, he directly ordered Hazel, "You saw what happened yesterday. Erik cares most about Bianca. Since your engagement didn't go through, you should publicly announce that the engagement is off and let Bianca marry Erik."

Hearing this, Hazel turned her head and laughed out of anger.

She thought, 'What an outrageous demand. And she couldn't believe how shameless this family could be. Bianca had intruded on her relationship, and her parents supported her. They even had the audacity to come to her to make such demands.'

Hazel propped a pillow behind her and crossed her arms, ready to watch the show.

She looked at Aiden sideways. "Why should I?"

Aiden, unfazed, said matter-of-factly, "They truly love each other and are a perfect match. You, a woman who had a child out of wedlock at a young age, made a scandal that everyone in Phoenix City knows about. You know it yourself! You've ruined the Astor family's reputation! And the Murphy family is a respectable family in Phoenix City. Do you really think you can become a member of it? Do you think they would allow Erik to marry a woman with a ruined reputation like you? I'm speaking to you nicely, so just accept what I said!"

At eighteen, Hazel, who had a child out of wedlock, became the biggest joke in Phoenix City, a target of ridicule.

Aiden, indifferent to Hazel's fate, mercilessly sent her abroad, never caring for her in the past seven years, leaving her to fend for herself in a foreign land.

Even now, after she narrowly escaped death in a fire, he showed no concern.

Instead, he shamelessly came to speak on behalf of his daughter Bianca, asking Hazel to give up her fiancé?

How shameless he was!

Hazel glanced at the three of them with different expressions and coldly said, "You really are a mother-daughter pair, even the hobby of being a third party can be inherited! You say I ruined the Astor family's reputation? What reputation does the Astor family have for me to ruin? My mother's funeral had just ended, and you couldn't wait to marry the third party. The ridiculous part is, your lover's daughter is only half a year younger than me. Aiden, let me ask you on behalf of my mother, what were you doing when she was carrying me? If we're talking about indecency, who in all of Phoenix City can compare to you, Aiden?"

Aiden, furious, turned to slap Hazel, shouting, "Hazel."

Bianca and Cleo's faces were both very ugly.

Hazel, still a bit dizzy, didn't want to argue with them, "Whether the Murphy family wants me to be Erik's wife, let Erik tell me himself. It's not your place to shout here! If you don't leave now, I'll call the police! Anyway, if things get ugly, it won't be me who loses face!"

At this point, some people had already gathered in the hallway outside the ward, whispering and pointing at Aiden and the other two.

Aiden knew Hazel well. He knew that she seemed indifferent but was unyielding like her mother when provoked, and no one could stand up to her!

Seeing more and more people outside, he considered the Astor family's reputation, and said, "Hazel, don't force me to send you abroad again!" He then left, cursing under his breath.
